    I own a “older” 07 evo x “gsr” and have everything the mr has.. including the leather seats, hid lights, Rockford sound system and only thing I don’t have is heated seats and all my trims are silver and grey they are the stock colors from japan and those rotors are not stock they are aftermarket I bought them for my gsr I’m running the same DBA rotors shown on the MR... everything is optional if u are the first owner u can choose what you want Ofcourse...

      That's sounds like a perfect spec mate and has all the goodies, yes the rotors on both cars aren't stock but the rotors on the MR in Australia are 2 piece which is different to what the GSR got

    Eibach are the springs that come with the shocks in the MR

    In America, our GSR has the 5-speed manual, while the MR has the 6-speed SST, so does that also apply in Australia?

    • @JacksonStrain

      Somewhat, as the MR is only offered with the SST here but you could also option the GSR to get the SST until 2012.
      Eg my car is a 2008 GSR with SST so has a bit of both such as GSR headlights, intercooler sprayer and Seats but then got the SST with the BBS wheels which wee normally found on the MR.

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  4 роки тому +2

      Yeah that's happened to me a few times, options are to roll it back and forth a few times while braking immediately after washing or alternately if you use P&S brake buster wheel cleaner which has rust inhibitors in it that also seems to stop them locking up.
      Thirdly if you're in the U.S you can buy a product called Hyde's rust serum that you spray on the rotors before washing and it will prevent them rusting at all.

      @@JacksonStrain There are several trim packages available. The most common are the Performance (it might go by a different name) and the Sun & Sound. The performance package offers two piece rotors, rims and interior changes regardless of the model. The sun and sound offered additional insulation, a Rockford Fossgate 10" subwoofer and a sunroof. I bought the GSR in 2008 for myself and my fiance bought a rally art Lancer. We both got the complete sun and sound packages and were able to choose two piece rotors and rims without paying the full "performance package" price.

    Own my Green evo x MR since 2015. Im officially will be trading it in for a Supra 2021 or 2020.
    The evo X MR, was a great car, for daily, It was an amazing car for a first tuner car, and daily driven even during snow with snow tires on. Car is a champ. Highly recommend the EVO X MR, if you want a comfortable daily, but remember.. You will get trolled for it being a DC-SST. Other than that its a GREAT EVO. Time for me to upgrade to a supra lmao.

      Green? Wrapped? Repainted? They only came in white, silver, black and blue if my (admittedly shonky) memory serves me right. And the silver wasn't dark enough to look sinister. I know that for sure because my MR is silver, and it would look way more evil if it was darker.

      Hey John I have made a similar video where i show the differences between an Evo and Ralliart.
      They're very similar indeed and have the same engine and transmission but the steering and handling is the main difference as seats, brakes turbos ect can all be swapped over.

    • @InfinitiLuxurys
      @InfinitiLuxurys 4 роки тому

      Ill check that out, I do like the look of the Evo X, Front Fenders, Spoiler, Rear and front bumper. The thing that gets me would be the increase on insurance for basically the same car. Just less tuned

    • @JacksonStrain
      @JacksonStrain  4 роки тому +1

      @@InfinitiLuxurys what i tell people if they're looking to upgrade to an Evo or are trying to decide between a ralliart or Evo is.. are you looking to go fast in a straight line and hit a few corners here and there or are you wanting something that you can carve around mountain roads and tight corners with amazing turn in and handling?
      As the ralliart is lighter and like you said can be modified and tuned to be faster than an Evo so better for drag and roll racing but the Evo has the superior AWD system and steering so is better for lots of cornering
