+Griffin Watson it might not get talked about heaps but id consider rock n rolla to be more underrated because everyone i know has seen snatch and loves it
+tropicAces i would say hes one of the best actors in hollywood, he plays so many different roles and nails them!!! to the point you dont even realize its him!!! theres not many actors that can act outside of there own personality.
Fracture (2007); Insomnia (2001); Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004); Ghost World (2001); Children of Men (2006); The Butterfly Effect (2004)
+TheCurmudgeon Outstanding movies don't have shitty dialog like "This is a bad neighbourhood" - "I'm in a bad mood". Also the performances aren't good.
Yes! Thank you for posting a comment about this excellent film. It is one of the most creative and beautiful science fiction films ever made (imho) yet people aren't familiar with it even though it was directed by Danny Boyle and stars Cillian Murphy (and lovely Rose Byrne). It suffers in the third act b/c it descends into the slasher/horror narrative for a bit too long. It wasn't needed, and I think it distracted viewers from the best parts of the film. The imagining of the sun, the look of the spacesuits and the ship, etc were just magical.
+Steven P. Disagree. Saw it 2 times. Beautifully made and breathtaking visuals and of course that dream like masterful soundtrack from John Murphy, but that ending screwed it up 4 me and the script beats.
+Tesla Haxz (Tyler) i didnt see either but 1 question how do you spend 140 million dollars on an animated movie?seems impossible . not saying it was bad because i didnt see it but the math seems way off .
+Josue Guillen What!? Watchmen was one of the worst movies I've ever seen, hands down. Mediocre script/acting. Very little action, with poor dialogue. The big grand evil plan that unites the world must have been the worst idea in a movie, ever. Like yeah sure, the U.S and USSR are going to be united by a common enemy! That one has never happened before. Lolz.
Granny Bacon lmao, don't be mad at me because you like shitty movies loaded with nonsensical plot holes. The smartest man in the world, yet he'd have second thoughts about his master plan if he attended a 9th grade history class. Imagine that.
+jon jones Children of Men?! That movie was painfully over rated. When it came out everyone was jizzing over themselves for it. I went and saw it and walked out of the theater thinking, "MEH - it didn't suck, but really wasn't very good."
Then you don't care about directing or cinematography at all. Children of Men is one of the most well-made and beautifully shot movies ever. Go watch a Michael Bay film, I'm sure you'd looooove it, lots of big explosions to keep your attention.
I wasn't commenting on the production dick head, it was fine in the technical department. When it came out people were acting like it was the second fucking coming, I went and saw it and it ended up being an overlong morality tale, or maybe a lesser Twilight Zone episode, if you think this is one of the, "...most well-made and beautifully shot movies ever." you need to see more movies. I didn't say it was bad, just no where near as good as people say it was,
+Jon Jones C'mon man. Why is everyone's default insult some variation of a dig on Bay? Children of Men is one of the best future dystopian movies I've ever seen. Curon, Clive and Caine did themselves proud on this flick but that doesn't mean someone who likes and appreciates this movie can't like a Bay movie (which I do) as well.
10-Frailty 9-Half Nelson 8-Zodiac 7-The Girl Next Door 6-Adam And Paul 5-Kiss Kiss Bang Bang 4-The Amateurs 3-Narc 2-Eastern promises 1-Finding Forrester
Sarah Zaragoza I mainly said that because in one video, they criticized it for its "overly complex plot" having too much info for audiences to handle. I might have to do some digging to find it, but it's there.
+PC Principal How could people vote if only few people have watched it ? again only the most popular ones win ,to me the fall should be place higher here ,also Watchmen i love too..
I think Children of Men is a very underrated flick of the 2000's. I stumbled into it on Netflix when I was bored a year or two back, but I had never heard of it before. After watching it, I was surprised that I hadn't.
Watchmen is such a great movie, but a lot of people don't have the attention span for it. Very unique super hero movie with rich philosophies character and world. Treasure planet I saw when I was younger... and apparently I'm the only one who actually liked it...
+UG6 watchmen was such a let down. stop trying to act like OH alot of people dont have the attention span for it. no its bad. its boring and bad. Plus , WAY TO MANY PLOT HOLES. i have to tell myself that there are people that like the ridiculous 6 so not surprised people stick up for watchmen.
+smit1000 there are some significant differences like silk spectre already knowing she was the comedians father, but the acting felt right. Over the top roarshac (no idea how to spell it), the monotone doctor Manhattan, and the well portrayed comedian. Admittedly, silk spectre and nite owl were sorta mehhh to me. Snyder definitely took some liberties, but I don't think theres a definitive choice of media. I think it's more preference. I saw the movie first then read the comic, which may explain my affinity towards it. I just thought it was a damn good movie.
In Bruges, Bronson, The Lookout, In the Electric Mist, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead and A History of Violence are all solid underrated films in my opinion, too...
+KRIEGLERR I'll admit that it's probably not for everyone but I really enjoyed it. I had reservations going in but at the end, I thought it was spectacular. Definitely in my top 30 faves. Tom Hardy is one hell of an actor. Still need to see Mad Max
One of my favorite films that no one seems to know of is "Frailty," starring Matthew McConaughey, Powers Boothe, and Bill Paxton who also directed it. Multiple plot twists in the film.
I liked 'The Watchmen' & have seen it twice. Now I'd love to see a movie revolving around Dr Manhattan. I think there is so much you could do with his character.
I'd have the same number 1....It's incredible. A few more: A History of Violence, Be Kind Rewind, A Serious Man, Adaptation, The Disappearance of Alice Creed, A Mighty Wind, The Man Who Wasn't There and Bug :)
Moon deserves a good write up. One of those films that is compulsive viewing. It will surely attain cult classic status soon within the sci-fi genre. Rockwell is superb, and the underlying tragedy really does get to you.
The Men Who Stare At Goats... Four of the greatest actors ever and the movies dark comedy is done so well.. One of my personal favorite movies that no one has really seen.
Yeah, Thats why I always hesitate to watch some of their videos. Theres always that handful that pop up in their list that you haven't seen and end up spoiling the ending. if its one you don't plan on seeing, thats one thing but if you just haven't got around to seeing it you're like "Dammit!"
Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is sooooooo under-appreciated. Mojo got this one right. Great flick, great score, great everything!
The animated movie "9". I thought it was a nice little thriller with some heart felt spots regarding the importance of friends and not forgetting those we've lost. I know it would be silly and asking for too much for a sequel.
I'm so thrilled for your Number 1 choice. One of the greatest films of all time in my opinion. Sad to say I've only seen 3 of this list (probably the best 3 looking at them)
I found 'Watchmen' to be more thought-provoking than the whole 'The Dark Knight' trilogy. 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' and 'Lord of War' are among my personal favorite. 'Zodiac' happens to be my second most favorite film. It felt so wrong how the Oscars didn't even nominated it for anything. It evidently shows how much of a perfectionist David Fincher is. 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford' should've won for best cinematography. It was almost magical. These are why the 2008 Oscar ceremony is among my most hated.
same goes for Titan AE. Treasure Planet and Titan AE are two of my all time favorite animated movies and they have great soundtracks. i still listen to the Titan AE soundtrack 19 years later.
Inside Man. The Spike Lee heist movie starring Clive Owen. Arguably one of the top two or three heist movies of all time. With the Advent of streaming, it has found a tremendous home in reruns over the years but at the time when it came out, there was very little fanfare and I don't recall it making a lot of money.
Wonderboys (2000) with Michael Douglas, Tobby McGuire and Robert Downey Junior : as funny, sarcastic, clever and ironic as Groundhog Day, but subtler. Probably the best script of the decade.
+Emilian Tzonev When they say "Underrated Movies" they would most likely imply that you should watch it There was no Spoiler Alert, if there was, I would gladly like to see it Even if they have seen it, they were just pointing out the fact that there should have atleast been a warning. I have read the comic, but never seen the movie. Meh, I didn't miss much honestly...
The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford is one of the most beautiful movies of all time. The acting, cinematography, directing and music are all sublime. Good to see it made #1 on this list.
10. Zodiac 9. Munich 8. The Matador 7. Michael Clayton 6. Master & Commander 5. Down With Love 4. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang 3. 25th Hour 2. Open Range 1. Children Of Men Hon. Mention: Layer Cake, Collateral, HP: Prisoner Of Azkaban, Constantine, In Bruges, Sunshine
When you ask the question, "Why isn't more popular?" a few big reasons stick out based on your examples here: 1. Overly depressing themes, 2. Main character narration, 3. Ray Liotta, and 4. George Clooney. While you will find successful movies with any of these reasons, overall any of them tend to drag a movie down.
If "Moon" would have been released 2 years ago it would had gotten several Oscar nominations just like "The Martian" did, but I guess it came out in the wrong time.
I agree, Moon was top notch. The whole movie was perfectly balanced and the pay off didn't disappoint. This proves that SciFi can be great without always having space battles, lasers and shields.
1. Gangster number one 2. Watchmen 3. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 4. Once Upon A Time in Mexico 5. Malena 6. Dreamers 7. Perfume: Story of a murderer 8. Thirteenth Warrior 9. Hulk 2003 10. Van Helsing
I definitely agree with Watchmen and Moon. The former still stands as one of my favorite comic book movies to date. The latter is a great story about isolation with a sci-fi background. Zodiac and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford are also good.
' Brick' is fkn awesome , 'Watchmen' is fantastic cant believe its on this list,' Moon 'is brill too , totally agree with ur no1 pick ' The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford ' ' is easily one of the best westerns ever made ,
+Noah Simmons I know right? Holy shit even though I've seen the films before it just baffles me that they let these through the editting process. Feel bad for people who haven't seen them
I'd like to add another. "You Kill Me" with Ben Kingsley and Tea Leoni. Darkly funny with great, understated performances by Kingsley, Owen Wilson, and Bill Pullman, and one of the most under appreciated performances ever for Leoni.
Babylon AD to me is one of my favorite underrated movies of the 2000s. The sci fi vibe of Blade Runner, the story, the action, and the cinematography are great. Also it is one of the most emotional performances by Vin Diesel in my opinion.
5:58 Every time. Every time I hear that "NO". I can feel it. Gives me a chill. That was one of the most heartfelt "NO" in the history of cinema. And Watchmen is one of the most beautiful movies of Superhero genre.
I agree wholehearteldy that Sam Rockwell is underrated and I have NO Idea why. He's an amazing actor I haven't seen most of these but I did see Life Aquatic and you people are crazy. That is one of the worst movies EVER made and I would've walked out if I'd paid for it
The Machinist should be on this list, possibly at nr.1. Zodiac should be on this list, possibly at nr.2. Before The Devil Knows You're Dead should also be on this list. Also, only a couple of stupid hipsters on a date would manage to sit through the pervasive uselessness and mediocrity of Brick. One of the few films I couldn't finish, even on repeated attempts.
I'm super happy they at least gave a quick plug to "Mary and Max". That movie was so unexpectedly good I watched it twice in one day. Very heavy and slightly dark, but so entertaining. And the style is just incredible! I really, really enjoyed that movie. Pretty good list all around. The Watchmen caught a bad break but at least it's shown on TV once a week now until eternity (apparently).
+DefenestrateYourself Really? Maybe it's just the age I was at the time (college freshman or sophomore) or the people I hung out with, but I remember Donnie Darko being HUGE. I can still recite large parts of that movie word-for-word because my friends, roommates and I watched it so often.
Annie By every metric, DD was overlooked and under-performed in the box office, but I could see it being popular in the right setting like a college campus.
10 - Narc (2002) 1:02
9 - Brick (2005) 2:03
8 - Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) 3:03
7 - I'm Not There (2007) 4:02
6 - Watchmen (2009) 5:10
5 - Treasure Planet (2002) 5:59
4 - Moon (2009) 7:00
3 - Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) 7:57
2 - The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004) 8:47
1 - The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007) 10:24
Honorable Mentions - Lord of War (2005), Zodiac (2007), 25th Hour (2002), The Fall (2006), Open Range (2003) 9:49
you da real MVP
Ty good sir
Thank you. I wish someone did this on all their videos...
Thank you sir
Triangle movie Is also so underrated movie of 2000s 😗
I don't think Guy Ritchie's Snatch gets talked about enough. That's a fantastic movie!
Indeed.
+Griffin Watson Come again?
+Griffin Watson it might not get talked about heaps but id consider rock n rolla to be more underrated because everyone i know has seen snatch and loves it
I agree.
+Jono Knight
Couldn't agree with you more there bro. Nonetheless, both movies are still quite awfully underrated though.
Watchmen is a masterpiece. One of the most visionary movies ever made.
True
No, not really.
Agreed.
i just rewatched it and I must agree with you. I understand why people might hate it but I liked it a lot.
i just rewatched it and I must agree with you. I understand why people might hate it but I liked it a lot.
Sam Rockwell appears in so many underrated films
+tropicAces he's an underrated actor
+tropicAces i would say hes one of the best actors in hollywood, he plays so many different roles and nails them!!! to the point you dont even realize its him!!! theres not many actors that can act outside of there own personality.
sirtoke69 true, he's pretty fantastic, if only the daft mainstream audience agreed.
+tropicAces He's pretty versatile, too. Need I mention "Galaxy Quest?
Revonda Ball he's bets part of Iron Man 2, loved him in the equally underappreciated 7 Psychopaths
Fracture (2007); Insomnia (2001); Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004); Ghost World (2001); Children of Men (2006); The Butterfly Effect (2004)
+Chris Thorn Nailed it mate. I loved them all but I think the title threw people of on Ghost World.
I have to admit the Butterfly Effect was kind of compelling even though it's a total guilty pleasure movie.....
I liked "The Jacket" much more than "Butterfly Effect". "Children of Men" is pretty well known.
Watchmen was an outstanding movie.
Definitely
+TheCurmudgeon how?
+Halo CE Magnum why not?
+TheCurmudgeon if i didnt read the graphic novel i would of liked it better.
+TheCurmudgeon Outstanding movies don't have shitty dialog like "This is a bad neighbourhood" - "I'm in a bad mood". Also the performances aren't good.
Sunshine needs to be on this list!
absolutely!

+Steven P. There are other great movies too. Hopefully they'll make another top 10 list.
treasure planet was good, but Atlantis was so much better.
True
+Tesla Haxz (Tyler) It deserved to be on this list. It was unique and the animation was damn gorgeous.
+Tesla Haxz (Tyler) i didnt see either but 1 question how do you spend 140 million dollars on an animated movie?seems impossible . not saying it was bad because i didnt see it but the math seems way off .
+Tesla Haxz (Tyler) I was so in love with Atlantis when it came out. man screw Frozen, Atlantis is the best animated film ever made.
+Tesla Haxz (Tyler) I really prefered Treasure Planet, Atlantis to me felt over the top.
Had Treasure Planet been released even 5 years later during the revitalization of 3D, it would have been a smash hit
Watchmen was just too ahead of it's time. Had it come out today it would be a major hit
true that mang
+Josue Guillen What!? Watchmen was one of the worst movies I've ever seen, hands down. Mediocre script/acting. Very little action, with poor dialogue. The big grand evil plan that unites the world must have been the worst idea in a movie, ever. Like yeah sure, the U.S and USSR are going to be united by a common enemy! +rusty shakleford are movies based on real life u fucking goof?
Granny Bacon LOLOL, apparently, you didn't watch this movie, you fucking idiot lmao
Granny Bacon lmao, don't be mad at me because you like shitty movies loaded with nonsensical plot holes. The smartest man in the world, yet he'd have second thoughts about his master plan if he attended a 9th grade history class. Imagine that.
moon was very very good movie . i recomend it
Watchmen was one of the most accurate comic book movies ever.
That's why I never watched it. I absolutely hated the graphic novel. It had painfully bad writing.
Umm. Space squid?
Moon is a fantastic movie. One of my favorites of the 2000s for sure. Zodiac as well probably.
Children of Men & Road to Perdition should've both been on this list. Two of the best movies I've ever seen and almost nobody I talk to has seen them.
Wow you guys are getting so upset over nothing LOL

Half Nelson was fantastic!
Have to say I agree The Watchmen is one of the best super hero movies I've seen. I saw it on the big screen and the opening scenes were breathtaking.
Finally, WatchMojo appreciates Watchmen.
They appreciated the movie before in other videos like top 10 DC movies
You kidding me? Damn, you must be the most boring person on earth, cause that movie made me fall asleep! xD
Sarah Zaragoza I mainly said that because in one video, they criticized it for its "overly complex plot" having too much info for audiences to handle. I might have to do some digging to find it, but it's there.
***** I'm not a fan, no :)
+Elton John's Governor Terribly boring movie... But then you like walking dead and supernatural lol
You guys called Watchmen "underwhelming" in your top 10 trailers video. Goes to show how you guys obviously just follow trends.
watchman was cool :)
+PC Principal How could people vote if only few people have watched it ? again only the most popular ones win ,to me the fall should be place higher here ,also Watchmen i love too..
Or, call me crazy here, the people who work at Watch Mojo have different opinions on things. Nuts, huh?
lol
I'm so glad someone remembered that. Way to blow w/the wind Watchmojo.
Sheep.
ejromm - Or the person who called it "underwhelming" wasn't the same person who did this video. Do you really need this explained to you? Sheep. Lol.
I think Children of Men is a very underrated flick of the 2000's. I stumbled into it on Netflix when I was bored a year or two back, but I had never heard of it before. After watching it, I was surprised that I hadn't.
Inside Man, Triangle, Sunshine, A History of Violence, Frailty, The Fall.....Absolutely beautiful movies.
Watchmen is such a great movie, but a lot of people don't have the attention span for it. Very unique super hero movie with rich philosophies character and world. Treasure planet I saw when I was younger... and apparently I'm the only one who actually liked it...
+3165dwayne do you like compelling stories?
Watchman was terrible, acted poor and direction was subpar. Don't start me on the ending being different then the book. Disappointed.
+UG6 I love them both. I watched Treasure Planet before I read the book, and I thought the original story took place in space lol.

LORD OF WAR is an AWESOME MOVIE!
Lord of War sucked.
Great movie. It should be in the list.
👍 I never knew it existed until my kid brother recommended I c it. Glad I did.
Klony especially when you’re drinking!
In Bruges, Bronson, The Lookout, In the Electric Mist, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead and A History of Violence are all solid underrated films in my opinion, too...
+Tyler Ward I really like Tom Hardy but I didn't like Bronson very much
+KRIEGLERR I'll admit that it's probably not for everyone but I really enjoyed it. I had reservations going in but at the end, I thought it was spectacular. Definitely in my top 30 faves. Tom Hardy is one hell of an actor. Still need to see Mad Max
Moon one of my favorite Sci-Fi... That twist.
moon is one of the best movies ever... so beautiful
What do expect from the son of Ziggy Stardust?
Ingredients for an underrated film: Sam Rockwell, Joseph-Gordon Levitt, Bob Dylan
+I'llBeBack Eventually. except 500 Days of Summer is pretty ovverated BUT I never see anyone talk about Looper or Matchstick Men

Tyler Durden- Overrated. Can't buy the ending. Just no way.
Zach Foster That movie is on Netflix
Love it!
Loved Equilibrium and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Who taught you math?!
Fantastic list. Moon and Assassination of Jesse James had amazing endings and music.
Guys lucky#sleven! how could you miss that movie srsly???
+Mr. Andric Another good one! Damn I forgot how awesome the 2000s were.
Exactly! That one and The Prestige should be mandatory lessons for every screenplay writer.
much more underrated then the highly overrated Watchmen
I'm surprised Lord of War only got an honorable mention. That film was AMAZING.
+PvtGermanWagz It's one of my favorites. Seen it many times.
Probably one of the last Nicolas Cage films I liked
PvtGermanWagz I agree. Both Cage and Leto performances were great. I love it when Leto makes Ukraine out of cocaine.
One of my favorite films that no one seems to know of is "Frailty," starring Matthew McConaughey, Powers Boothe, and Bill Paxton who also directed it. Multiple plot twists in the film.
Sam Rockwell, the king of underrated movies.
to me, the most underrated movie of the 2000s is SUNSHINE
Do you mean eternal sunshine of spotless mind
@@nikhilgadekar5682 No, Sunshine.
Sunshine is amazing!
Sam Rockwell in underrated, period.
synecdoche new york
yms?
+Larogue TruG Nah, I think it's too pretentious to be eligible for the underrated label.
+Larogue TruG
It was not released between 2000 and 2009.
+Elder Yautija 2008 - it was so depressing.
leedsmanc Damn! I was so sure it was from 2012-2013...
Well, then it's definitely missing here!
watchmen was no1 for me
Waking Life.
I liked 'The Watchmen' & have seen it twice. Now I'd love to see a movie revolving around Dr Manhattan. I think there is so much you could do with his character.
I'd have the same number 1....It's incredible.
A few more: A History of Violence, Be Kind Rewind, A Serious Man, Adaptation, The Disappearance of Alice Creed, A Mighty Wind, The Man Who Wasn't There and Bug
:)
Pete W “A Mighty Wind” is one of my favorite movies ever. The soundtrack is amazing as well.
Be Kind Rewind! How can you go wrong with Jack Black and Mos Def?
IA History of Violence and Adaptation were loved by critics and fans and got huge publicity at the time. They can't be considered underrated.
Moon deserves a good write up. One of those films that is compulsive viewing. It will surely attain cult classic status soon within the sci-fi genre. Rockwell is superb, and the underlying tragedy really does get to you.
Watchmen was fantastic. Great to see it here
actually moon is really an awesome movie, scifi that's full of emotions. love it
The Men Who Stare At Goats... Four of the greatest actors ever and the movies dark comedy is done so well.. One of my personal favorite movies that no one has really seen.
Watchmen is so awesome, I assumed everyone had seent it.
Treasure Island was awesome when I was a kid! never knew people didn't like it
+Darienne Wilson greeting fellow fan and yes it shocked me to the worst part is that there was a sequel planed god damm
+Darienne Wilson oh yeah good times, i remember those floating whale creatures on space and was really amazed back then
+Darienne Wilson Everyone who knows it loves it! But not a lot of people know it!
Why do you insist on spoiling films when it's completely unnecessary to do so?
Yeah, Thats why I always hesitate to watch some of their videos. Theres always that handful that pop up in their list that you haven't seen and end up spoiling the ending. if its one you don't plan on seeing, thats one thing but if you just haven't got around to seeing it you're like "Dammit!"

The animated movie "9". I thought it was a nice little thriller with some heart felt spots regarding the importance of friends and not forgetting those we've lost. I know it would be silly and asking for too much for a sequel.
A joyride of a movie
Watchmen, Moon, Zodiac - finally a good top10 :)
Watchmen is masterpiece!
Lord of War is one of my all time favorite movies....
+SouLessEntity yeh that film rocks.
+SouLessEntity Same here I think that one deserves more then a honorable mention.

Treasure Planet sure is underrated AF
MultiMetar I loved Treasure Planet but I was disappointed that it didn't have any sword fights in it.
same goes for Titan AE. Treasure Planet and Titan AE are two of my all time favorite animated movies and they have great soundtracks. i still listen to the Titan AE soundtrack 19 years later.
changeling is the most underrated movie of that decade.
one of the best movies I've ever seen and nobody's had heard of it.
Stardust (2007) and Cheri (2009) both starring Michelle Pfeiffer were underrated and underappreciated.
Inside Man. The Spike Lee heist movie starring Clive Owen. Arguably one of the top two or three heist movies of all time. With the Advent of streaming, it has found a tremendous home in reruns over the years but at the time when it came out, there was very little fanfare and I don't recall it making a lot of money.
What about Kung Fu Hustle ?
Lee Peters lol
I like you :D
Kung Fu Hustle, to my knowledge, has never been "underrated".
Kung Pow Enter The Fist is an amazing movie but i never see it on anyones top ____ lists and i never hear anyone talk about it
Battlefield baseball.
In bruges is very underrated
It doesn't get talked about enough
One of the best dark comedies out there
good list... moon is seriously one of the best movies ever
"I'M NOT LOCKED IN HERE WITH YOU. YOU'RE LOCKED IN HERE WITH MEEEEE"
Best line of the 00s
The Ruins - gruesome film with great acting, story and ost. It's really overlooked in my opinion.
Wonderboys (2000) with Michael Douglas, Tobby McGuire and Robert Downey Junior : as funny, sarcastic, clever and ironic as Groundhog Day, but subtler. Probably the best script of the decade.
Don't forget a hot as hell Katie Holmes. Plus Minor spoiler: Spiderman and Iron Man go to bed together. One of the best films of the decade.
Underrated by the public though???
you really didn't need to spoil the end of Watchmen, man ...
If you wanted to see it, you would have already.
+clutchthepearls don't you just love it, when people just assume shit?
I have seen it. But a spoiler is a spoiler and I hate spoilers.
There was a spoiler alert...
+Ssgt Griggs don't you just love it, when people decide to complain about someone spoiling a 10-year old movie that they have already seen?
+Emilian Tzonev
When they say "Underrated Movies" they would most likely imply that you should watch it
There was no Spoiler Alert, if there was, I would gladly like to see it
Even if they have seen it, they were just pointing out the fact that there should have atleast been a warning.
Absolutely agree. Every other film on this list pale by comparison.
Amazing performances
Casey Affleck is annoying
@@crimebodge7274 Yup
10. Zodiac
9. Munich
8. The Matador
7. Michael Clayton
6. Master & Commander
5. Down With Love
4. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
3. 25th Hour
2. Open Range
1. Children Of Men
Hon.
Wish I could like that more than once. Massively underrated film.
I agree, Moon was top notch. The whole movie was perfectly balanced and the pay off didn't disappoint. This proves that SciFi can be great without always having space battles, lasers and shields.
Lord of War and Zodiac are amazing!
+Panzer shreck fuck yes!!!!
The Fall is an absolutely beautiful movie.
Criminally underrated
Road To Perdition is one of those amazing films that everyone seems to ignore for some reason.
1. Gangster number one
2. Watchmen
3. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
4. Once Upon A Time in Mexico
5. Malena
6. Dreamers
7. Perfume: Story of a murderer
8. Thirteenth Warrior
9. Hulk 2003
10. Van Helsing
Sunshine 2007 (Danny Boyle) A masterpiece so underrated it doesn't even get mentioned in the Top 10 Underrated Films video... :((((((
sfgdhdhd Watchmojo already did one years ago, where it got certainly mentioned.
I always did love Treasure Planet :)
Holy shit i forgot Treasure Planet existed. I loved that movie as a kid :D
+T Bag It's on Netflix if you want a recap :)
I definitely agree with Watchmen and Moon. The former still stands as one of my favorite comic book movies to date. The latter is a great story about isolation with a sci-fi background.
Zodiac and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford are also good.
' Brick' is fkn awesome , 'Watchmen' is fantastic cant believe its on this list,' Moon 'is brill too , totally agree with ur no1 pick ' The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford ' ' is easily one of the best westerns ever made ,
Watchmen? Treasure Island?
In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths where ten thousand times more underrated than those two.
In Bruges was brilliant
+Feno Mozo those are in the video of 2010 underrated movies. this one were from 2000
***** But In Bruges is from 2008
i was talking about 7 psychopaths, were on that video list.
The Fall was such a wonderful movie!
Such a eventual classic!
You guys really like to spoil endings and twists in movies, don't you?
+Noah Simmons I know right? Holy shit even though I've seen the films before it just baffles me that they let these through the editting process. Feel bad for people who haven't seen them
These movies are over 7 years old. If you haven't seen them, that's your fault. There are no spoilers there because they aren't recent.
elbee12 For someone who just recently turned 16, I've only heard of a good amount of these movies but never saw them. Cut me some slack, man.
+Noah Simmons It's common sense. Even a 16 year old should know that. Have a good day.
+Noah Simmons Also, if you haven't seen them, how do you know they're spoilers? Hmmm.
Watchmen is awesome movie. That's why I never believe in critics' reviews
Everytime marvel releases a movie , everyone goes nut, but when it's time for DC... They rated iron man 2 80% and BvS 40% wtf critics ???
Lars and the Real Girl unlucky to miss out
Hilarious yet witty film
5:58 Every time. Every time I hear that "NO". I can feel it. Gives me a chill. That was one of the most heartfelt "NO" in the history of cinema. And Watchmen is one of the most beautiful movies of Superhero genre.
MOON FUCK YEAH
11:14 (2003)
Frailty (2002)
Donnie Darko (2002)
need another Top 10 Underrated Films of the 2000s
+A LOPEZ Donnie Darko came out in 2001
thx
+A LOPEZ memento
oohh,, someone else who's seen 11:14 :)
They totally forgot Donnie Darko
I agree wholehearteldy that Sam Rockwell is underrated and I have NO Idea why. He's an amazing actor
I haven't seen most of these but I did see Life Aquatic and you people are crazy. That is one of the worst movies EVER made and I would've walked out if I'd paid for it
One Sam Rockwell movie that u should see is Matchstick Men, directed by Ridley Scott and stars Nicholas Cage, great great movie and very underrated
Red Tail Zephier thanks for the suggestion. I've never been much of a Cage fan, but I'll check it out :)
Me neither but he's actually decent in this one
Wish I could thumb this up more than once!!!
The list is missing "The Cooler" and Moon is IMO the best film of the decade.
did you even watch the video?
Oh fuck yes. The Cooler is bloody brilliant.
Seen all but one of these and completely agree with this list particularly the underrated Sam Rockwell. That guy rocks.
children of men?
Jane Doe Children of Men isn't just a movie... it's an experience.
That one makes my list of Overrated Movies.
Jane Doe- That's a good one, but I prefer In The Company Of Men.
97 dude
"underrated" ?
The Machinist should be on this list, possibly at nr.1. Zodiac should be on this list, possibly at nr.2. Before The Devil Knows You're Dead should also be on this list.
Also, only a couple of stupid hipsters on a date would manage to sit through the pervasive uselessness and mediocrity of Brick. One of the few films I couldn't finish, even on repeated attempts.
treasure planet was my childhood
If you're reading this, do yourself a favour and watch Moon, it's actually one of my favourite films of all time.
I can't believe DONNIE DARKO isn't on this list.
It's films that aren't really known about and Donnie Darko got a lot of press.
No, Donnie Darko was completely overlooked upon release. It made basically no money when it came out--largely because it was overshadowed by 9/11.
Its a good movie but not underrated. I always hear is mentioned for being as good as it is.
