I’m always fascinated by ‘who thought of this?, I think I’ll grow a bean, wash it, crush it, always adding water, cook it, skim it, etc.

Chinese did...check all the historical records. Soy was used for many many things, food products, sauces and etc. They then shared this knowledge with all the neighbouring countries during the Silk Road era and trade.
I ask myself the same question for most food. Think about bread, pasta, etc...

A section of people worldwide have this syndrome. They can't digest cow milk or, their products.
@@rudman97 "it's not a "syndrome" it's natural for mammals to stop drinking milk as adults. They are the default (the majority of population). Caucasian people developed a mutation that led us digest milk as adult. They exist in other races but they are uncommon.
So it's not even a disease, it's how It should be. This said, I like milk and others but I know it's a luxure and it's not necessary.
Their hardwork and dedication to make a tofu made me to realise that these peoples really made this world more colourful with the food...

When I lived in Korea was the only time I was able to buy really fresh tofu. It was the best tofu I ever had. Thanks for filming this process
Living abroad, the fresh tofu ist what I miss the most. In earlier years, every morning at 7 you could hear the bell of Tofu merchant on the street, like milk delivery. Hot steamy, fresh made ones. Nothing to compare with :-)

I enjoy watching a Korean food making process. it's seem well handled and clean
Clean? I saw several moments that weren’t very clean. One, in the beginning she touched her dirty sandles with her gloves and then touched the already cleaning or rinsed beans. It must’ve been a small mistake but small mistakes and hurt people. I do show appreciation though, tough work.

I know they're using grinder and mixer already. But the time and effort you put just to make a single ingredient is such a dedication. To deliver everything fresh and homemade to the customers is such a commitment.

☺️.. Tofu is commonly used for Asians. In Thailand we got soybean drinks and use it for cooking, pretty much same like Korea, Japan or China. I'm a Thai UA-camr for Thailand 🇹🇭 enjoying your videos. Thanks for sharing. 😊👍

It was pretty cool seeing how they make tofu commercially, but after seeing this I'm glad I started making my own tofu with distilled water instead of garden hose water and lemon juice or apple cider vinegar instead of the traditional calcium sulfate.

I never would have thought it's exactly the same as making cheese but without the aging part.
It's the same as making fresh cheese, also know as queso fresco.
There's tofu that are aged but it will become fermented and stinky. Some people enjoy eating stinky tofu but not me -- can't stand the pungent smell.
In some countries aged cheese practicAlly dosesnt exist. Only fresh cheese. Solo le le decimos queso y ya

I’ve never had “day it is made” tofu. I even buy local stuff, but the store only gets it delivered 1 or 2 times a week, never same-day. I hear that it is so much better than even 1-day old stuff.

I miss good tofu so much. When one of the greatest men I’ve ever known passed away all the hours we spent around a table laughing and eating giving each other advice and telling each other our troubles. I proposed to my wife at that same table and he was the man who to the picture of me down on one knee. He catered my wedding him his wife and children served the guests. He wouldn’t set down till everyone was through eating. I asked him several times to let the people who arrived late to learn to be on time. He would have none of it I miss that man every day.

Так а вы сами можете его легко сделать. Купите сою. В видео все очень понятно. Соевое молоко вываривают по принципу адыгейского сыра. После закипания, добавляете уксус, молоко сворачивается и собираете образовавшееся зерно и под гнёт для прессования бруска.
Я бы посмотрев видео не рискнула пробовать
Я пробовала магазинный, не понравился. Уж лучше творог настоящий. Возможно тофу полезнее и для тех у кого на лактозу аллергия, тогда это конечно можно, как вариант.
