Love Nabija, she's massive. Is it possible to show us how you staked and tied her up? I have an out of control monsterra he's growing lots and a bit lopsided. I'll be pruning and propegating him soon so looking for pointers please. I also have 2 partially brown leaves that sprouted that way. Trust me I know about that long term damage. I forgot to drain my saucer, left his roots in water and didn't realise for a week *sigh*
Hi Neffy!!👋🏾 Thank you so much with these plant tip videos. I have been a plant mama for Three years now. Although lots of them didn’t make it, due to me moving but I have all new plant babies and a monstera is definitely my next plant baby. They are so beautiful! You keep your plants looking gorgeous 😊💜
Thank you so much for this! I became a plant mom during the spring months, moved in the fall and now that it’s winter I’ve still been trying to get my plants adjusted to the new space. These tips were very helpful and now I will be getting moisture meter.
So glad to see your video I was wondering where did you go to and I seen one of ur video where your father had passed I'm sorry to hear that may your family be blessed and Lord be with you all you look so nice and thank you for the word of inspiration I will prune my life sweetie and thank you again you just such a wonderful inspiration to watch and just a beautiful soul and once again may God be with you
Laila I feel like we’re in sync recently. I was staring hard at your monstera leaves the other day thinking they look amazingly healthy and gorgeous, why don’t mine look like that 😭😭😂 you are looking like a whole meal girl 👀 love and light and thank you for blessing us with this video! 🧡❤️
Ask and you shall receive! Thank you for this Laila. With 20+ plants in the whole house I have my work cut out but I still want more. Lidl had a plant week back in autumn, I missed out on the largest Umbrella tree and Fiddle fig tree I had seen with my own eyes, was so gutted. I just wiped down the monstera leaves and dug up my small humidifier. Fingers crossed. Your calathea and hoya are beautiful as are you. Thanks again plant mama!
I'm sooooo freaking JEALOUS! I don't have a green thumb but wish the hell I did!! I called myself purchasing plants last summer and trying it A-G-A-I-N. How about I got plant flies... My neighbor said it was due to over watering but after that I got rid of them, didn't want them around any longer. But WOWWW your plants are GORGEOUS! You clearly know what you are doing...🌿
Love caltheas but they are such a pain in this winter weather, my warscewiczii is giving me hell even being in a room with average 50% humidity! Great video and thanks for the tips 😀 -your plants are thriving.
The oldest trick to know if your plant needs water..... stick your finger inside the dirt and push down by few inches, if the dirt is dry water the plant. When the leaves droop down drastically, they are suffering and need watering asap. You don't want to over water because they are extremely thirsty then you'll cause other problems such as root rot, which causes mold to develop. I've read this method and used this method for years sticking your finger inside the dirt, really helps to see just how much water your plant needs.
Laila you give me true plant goals🙌🏾! My monstera is thriving but my Calathea and Hoya are really struggling😫! I think my biggest mistake was purchasing them in the winter. I will continue to do my best and nurture them though! I am loving my plant bae journey so far and I look forward to seeing their growth this year! Thanks for such great content!
Hey Laila. Would you consider doing a room tour? I have always been curious to see it based on your different videos and would love to see it with the plants in their normal spots.
Maybe try snake plants or pothos? I had so many when I still had two under two 🥲. I put them in the bathtub to soak once every month or so since they like to dry out a bit. They do well abandoned lol
Great video. I needed this! My challenge is that I have a plant (Draecena) that needs sufficient light, but I have a wall vent heater that is right near the window. Thus, this Winter, the leaves started falling like crazy. That and I was overwatering. I had to move the plant away from the window and now it only gets diffuse lighting. I will look into the moisture meter and the grow light.
Great video as already stated you look amazing....!!!your plants look well loved and cared for...my baby’s are doing well considering it’s winter...but I do tend them....thanks for sharing
Hi Laila, I'm usually terrible with plants but I have one since October and she's still alive. Her name is Uchena and I'm impressed with how much she's growing. I'll keep some of your tips in mind for her. 🖤🖤
Thanks for the tips Laila! Your timing is perfect! We noticed that our Monstera has some yellow leaves and was wondering why. Good pointers, we’ll prune her. She grew extremely fast (tripled in size) over the summer. Is it okay to prune her stems as well? Also we haven’t been getting white mold on the soil but we’ve noticed some mold on our clay pots and usually remove it with a vinegar water solution. Any other suggestions? Thank you for sharing your love of plants and all of the gems with us. Really appreciate it all! 🪴 😘
One of my plants has mould and I do not know if I should repot. I legit bought 3 plants this evening, to my UK folk Lidl have some amazing plants including aloe! Edit: Thanks for answering the mould question!
Yes! they grow a lot in the colder months unlike other plants, they grow year round if happy :) I've recently done but hopefully in the summer if I need to change the moss stick then I defo x
I love this and thank You 🙏🏾 please tell me where did you purchase your meadow foam seed oil? If it was in London does the store ship to the states? You look so pretty 😍
In NY, super cold here. I find my soil is drying out much quicker. I don’t want to over water but should I aim to keep the soil on my snake, Zz plant, and monstera more moist or let them dry out?
Let your snake plant dry out completely, same for the ZZ, they wont needing watering much... once a month maybe. Monster doesn't need moist soil. Water thoroughly when it needs and get a moisture meter for it or water for drooping if you can hack it. the top soil may look dry but the roots could still be moist, sometimes the finger check isn't enough to tell.
I have been growing an aloe plant since April of last year. I put two small aloe buds together in one large pot. I water once monthly. They have grown really large. Should separate them by repotting? Any tips? Thanks
You look amazing! 😍 Keep shining sis. God bless 🙂
Wait a minute!! Hair and plants!! I'm back...I learned so much that I stopped watching for awhile. I'm now obsessed.

If they are happy then leave them for now. The best time to repost is spring so wait and see, but i dont think it's likely that you need to.
