Circa Survive is a band I don't think I can get tired of. My dad and I used to listen to their music, along with bands like Coheed and Cambria and Gorillaz, and the band has always held a special place in my heart

I'm sure there are other reasons too tho, or something different entirely. fuck if i know. I just hope if this is Circa' last album that it has at least as many bangers as The Amulet
I listened to Circa Survive all the time with my dad growing up. We'd listen to it and chat when my dad drove me to and from school and their music has always brought back so much childhood nostalgia from that time. Hiatus or breakup, I hope the best for each of the members of the band.

Idk if it applies but for me it does. I'm currently struggling with addiction, and this song paints a whole picture for what I'm currently experiencing. I'm literally having a breakdown, ironically alone in my room. I've listened to this song at least 12 times (13 now) and it hits sooo fucking hard and speaks to me. Hey man, I been there and done it. If you don't mind me asking, what drug are you struggling with. You'd be surprised how easy it is these days to transition on some kind of maintenence program until you get on your feet, cheap too. You can easily be struggling one day and on the up and up the next. Sometimes you just need to pop out on the other side to take a few deep breaths and remember what it's like to be off that constantly spinning rat wheel.
Update: I'm a year and a month sober and soooo soo much happier.

on first listen to this record, it seems there's much of circa that's lost in this sort of stylistic shift. But every time I revisit this album, I find more and more hints of what used to be. Hearing these songs mixed this way brings a lot of it out. Circa forever!!
I loved this song on the album but holy hell watching and listening to it being performed adds a beautiful extra dimension…makes it bittersweet to think I may never experience it live but so thankful for this recording ✨

I did not care much for the 2 "A Dream About..."s. This is a good song and I love Circa. I'm pretty bummed about the "hiatus" considering Wikipedia HAD listed them as "was a band". That statement has been redacted recently to an "is". Get outta here Halloween!

@@toddself5838 I don’t know if I agree that it was slow. They tried out new dynamics and I think it worked to varying degrees. Some of it definitely felt like experimental filler than a Circa song.
@@chevon7665 it wasn't slow but there was no real "Circa" feel like other albums. The keys got a bit tiresome with no dirty guitar to accentuate to me anyways. Felt more like an AG solo outing by comparison. Just my opinion.
@@toddself5838 facts. That’s my biggest concern with Circa going forward. I want everyone’s input to be equally valued and these EP’s felt like a slight misstep in an otherwise interesting direction. I hope that whatever Anthony does next fulfills that’s part of him but I have my doubts lol
