Your knowledge and experience always shines through. But your customer relation skills and how you communicate with the customer is truly golden! Two thumbs up!
+Adam Carter Thank you!
Thanks again Stanley, ur knowledge has come to play quite a bit for me I've really been practicing what u preach and ur teaching hasn't let me down .
Thanks man.
That's awesome to hear, thanks Brett & I'm glad I can help!
its such a big help when you explain the time and cost to remove and do things separate, thx for making awesome videos. its very helpful to see cost and how much dumpsters are needed to remove buildings.
Id love to see an update video of this while you demo it and a breakdown of how much material is removed if possible!
+Devin McGrath aww yeah a time lapse or something. All that work all that content and lol all the editing HYPE!
+Trooperandcooper Ale I can do that.
Actually been watching a heap of your older videos, 2 were of a time lapse, they were really fast.
thanks for your work in making these videps!
Thanks James!
" Incorporating courtesy, dependability and integrity into everything we do" I love that man! Can I use it? :)
+Adam Carter You sure can.
love your videos. I'm in my second season as a concrete contactor. last year suck. doing a lot of reading this winter. thanks for giving so much info
+Norman Bishop Thanks for the feedback!
Awesome, I really like how you interact with your customers. That looks like a good paying job, but also dangerous. Be safe, and if you get the job and if you have the time could you make another demolition video?
+JC'sLawnTips For sure!
Excellent video Stan. key to success right here. Thanks Stan look forward to more great video's!
+Ric Becerra Thanks!
Awesome video Stan!
Thank you Jacob!
Ever find anything in these old houses? Antiques, misc things in attics, basements, etc.?
I'd check the 1800's and early 1900's homes in the basement for secret areas and shit, never know.
Stan, I think its really cool that you did this walk through with the client. Do you ever get any resistance or hesitation when you ask them if you can record the process? Do you explain that you have a UA-cam channel and people like me watch like crack addicts and can't wait for the next fix? Love you, man thanks for all that you do.
+Gravel Back Mechanic Oh yeah. Once the video camera comes out-it changes the feel of the situation.
all that stone from the retaining walls , thats a big score.
+buffalostate1 I don't re-use it though.
fantastic video and lots of information thanks man!
+john pierce Glad you liked it!
thanks for the video Stan
+david brunner Trash Trucks and Lawn Care Your welcome!
Hey Dirt Monkey! I love the content. My dumpster rental business (created this past year so still growing) is looking at adding house demolition as well as barns, pools, ect to our services. What’s the best way to advertise this to get the phone ringing to be able to bid jobs? I’d love any feedback
can you make a business of just straight house demolition or do you need to do other stuff to make a good living?
Stucco siding is really only for the SW. Why they used it the NW is beyond me. A lot of homes being sold here are stucco (buy a cheap home). It really is a hindrance in that the homeowner needs to replace it with something that is more tolerant to the rains and the occasional snow. I don't know how many times I have had to go out and repair these. Job security I guess.
How much profit would be made potentially from that job for the contractor assuming all went as planned?
What is your costs, how do you gauge how many dumpsters, man power , timeline etc?
U didn't tell us the way you calculated the numbers
I would like to see the process of removing a large retaining wall like that one behind the house
+Clayton .Hiles I have a few demo videos out there. You can see the process in one of those.
is houses like this one that have stucco siding less "messy" than a house with an alternative siding? looks like that front retaining wall would provide a sweet loading site, back the dump truck right up to it lol
+Lance Sheppard {Little River Lawn Care} Until the retaining wall collapses due to the weight of his excavator ontop of it...
+Lance Sheppard {Little River Lawn Care} Stucco is more messy.
at 5:30 point, my guess is $40,000 to $60.000 to remove the house.
add 15K for all the lanscaping removal & leveling to those numbers. so 55K to 90K
Do you rent your heavy equipment?
that house looks in ok shape, why does he want it taken down?
+JohnDeere50d They do that all over the higher end neighborhoods.
are you able to keep things such as windows, fireplace mantles, doors, etc., from these jobs?
+chris edwards I do. I have saved tons of Windows doors and beams plus more.
good deal. Been in construction biz all my adult life. Currently in landscaping business looking to expand my work base into versa lok and pavers. Thanks for all the invaluable info.
Sorry if this is too personal but after you're paid how much profit do you/your company get? Do you figure the raw cost and then add a certain percent? I'm interested in how exactly you came up with that number.
+TheMrFinneth I like your time lapse videos by the way. The profits are calculated into the numbers.
Thanks! Love your channel!
The owner looks so uncomfortable.
how do you remove that much driveway for $1100?? Thats a lott of driveway, and the RR ties.....holly cow, you guys are cheap.
wow...$20K, that is cheap dude
