My old 675 is the only bike I ever regretted selling. Going to get a test ride on this and see if I can make space for it in my fledgling fleet. Awesome review, and the film quality was more than fine for me… cheers
I agree with this review. Only thjng is, after a twiddle with the suspension it's also amazing on track and don't worry about your mates on 1000's leaving you... You'll get them under breaks or in the corners!
I've just purchased the moto2 in yellow!! I'm so impressed with it I can't stop looking at it it's a stunning bike , your correct about the dash it's pants so I don't even look at the revs anymore , I had a 1200 rs last year unbelievably fast but so harsh on England's shite roads it didn't last long with me , the streets finish is unbelievable its comfortable it's so pretty it makes my BMW 1250 gs feel & look like a tractor ❤
I have a moto2 in white, agree the dash is shite in any of the 4 screens but everything else is amazing. Hopefully as Triumph listen to customers they will change the dash to a simple round tacho with speed & gear indicator in middle
The rev counter issue is so overblown. After 2 months/800miles of riding and following the breaking in period rev-limit you can tell exactly where the rev range is by the sound of the engine and you don't need it anymore. The speedo is the one I need more cos otherwise I'm constantly speeding but wouldn't know it as the bike is so smooth and stable.
@@timrodierides I had a tea long demo on this yesterday and what an absolute masterpiece, the ONLY niggle I have is such a minor one but it’s important… the brake and gear lever pedals are literally underneath the bike 😂!! Would take getting used to but as always THE ENGINE THE ENGINE THE ENGINE!! It’s just amazing 🤩!
Ive just done the run in service on mine and its such a fun bike, its hilarious. Ive also come down from litre bikes and its as different to use as 8 wanted. Love it. Oh had to set the suspension as it wasnt set as it was supposed to be from the factory.
I'm with you 100% about the TFT, my 2023 RS is my third consecutive street triple and by far the best but the 2017 to 19 TFT was good, the 2020 to 22 not as good and the 2023 definitely the worst, too cluttered and hard to read and the Rs is a much clearer better TFT.
My R loves being thrashed, and I love thrashing her! It’s great fun! I ride her to work every day. Weekend tours are a beast though. Someone need’s to make a windshield for this thing! At 70 mp, it’s thrashing me lol! Just an awesome bike though. The 9 Tim’s are deserving.
I have the moto 2 not matter who reviews the street triple it says so much about this bike if all they slate is the dash ok the rev counter isn’t the best to read but all other aspects of the dash inc ease of use I can live with so to me no big deal great job triumph
Brilliant video Tim as always and with the enthusiasm and alacrity that we’ve come to know and love, so right here’s the thing… I had the speed triple Rs 1200, and sold it back to the dealer because it’s just unusable for most places in the uk , so I’m thinking of my next bike , 1 The m1000R , the H2 SE or the Street Triple Rs …. Apart from the 7K price saving on a Street Triple, which one would you recommend ( I’ve no intention of going on a track ) What’s your thoughts? 👍🏾
Haha, fabulous vid, your enthusiasm for the bike was great. I like this marks out of 10 idea. But, it's not entirely new, you gave the Hornet 8. I can't believe that the Street triple only gents one point more. But, what the heck, it's all fun, so thanks.
Great review again Tim👍. I test rode one last week & it seemed alot smaller than I remember 🤔. I had a 2019 RS & dong remember it feeling thag small! Now got a 1050RS which I love but have got the itch to change again!
When they launched the mid-cycle refresh of the StreetTriple I went to a triumph dealership and tbh... I really really considered buying an RS and modify it in the "Moto2" spirit... I doesn't seem like adding clip-ons away from a handlebar would be too complicated from the get-go, because honestly, personally now looking into a supersport bike, having a "modern day daytona" without paying the "765-limited edition tax" sounds very appealing
I personally don’t feel the dash is an issue, knowing when to change gears can be done on sound and feel, no need to look for indication on the dash imo
Hi Tim, I am as tall as you are 6'3" 95 Kgs, What is the real world experience on this bike? I did test ride and it felt good. But you can only experience so much in a 20 min. test ride. I want to use this as my daily ride. I really like this bike but the ergonomics due to my height is the only thing holding me back.
I found it fine… not the comfiest but like any bike once you've done some big miles on it you sort of mould to it. You're 5kg lighter than me which will probably help!
Track Weapon ready! More RPM (like more happy zone 😊), more braking power (brembo stylema) and better suited to the track day (moto2) 💛💛💛 and Cosmic Yellow is awesome 🤗
Seems like a fun bike! Thinking of selling my 2021 MT09-SP, Yamaha quality is disappointing and dealer close by are shite. Right now dealing with some TPS issues and the whole thing makes me wanna get rid of it. Also I've grown tired of touring, focusing more on trackdays and weekend blasts. Want something with better handling. Never tried any Triumph, but the power delivery being different from the MT is going to be interesting when riding one.
Please let us know what u end up doing. I’m selling my 2020 r6 and I’m so torn between a 2023 mt09 and a 2023 street triple rs. The brembos and suspension alone makes me wanna go for the triple rs.
The biggest problem, by far, with this bike, rears it's head when you want to upgrade it. It spoils you SO much with the smooth power, the epic handling and brakes, that your only real options to upgrade to are super nakeds. Because everything else feels cheap and silly in comparison.
@@reddpillI own the v2, and took the street triple r out for a test ride, and it's truly ia great bike, i liked how smooth the qs was, and the handling, but the the v2 is still a better bike in many ways (at least for me)
As someone that traded their street triple is for a speed triple 1200rs, I have to strongly disagree that the street is better than the speed. Soulless? I really can’t relate to that. I’m loving every minute of my speed ownership.
@@timrodierides I get that, but that doesn’t automatically make me intellectually dishonest. I just wanted to add my differing opinion for those looking at both bikes. I genuinely love the 1200rs. Wholeheartedly agree. I was deposit down on the Moto2 the instant it became available. I already had a 2020 RS. I joke that I like this bike so much I would buy it without a dash. Rodie. Get it. In yelllow for sure. Just picked up my moto2 in yellow. It. Is. Fantastic. And i love the dash. But I’m weird that way.

Very good, no BS review, thanks. I owned a ST 675R with the lovely Arrow low pipe. This tempts me, although I do love the 890 Duke....
Amazing video! Your style is very funny & interesting to watch. Keep it up!
Would you go for this one or the duke 890r? RS has a better finish but the duke just handles like no tomorrow. Difficult choice

Marvellous review Sir, just wonder why they couldn't have put the Speeds TFT on the Street? Keep up the great work 💪😎
