Super Simple Half Sphere in Sketchup!

I have to say, up until now, whenever I've needed a sphere in Sketchup, I've always created one in another app like Blender or C4D and imported it. The problem when you do it that way is that you can't get rid of the wireframe structural lines, so every sphere you bring in always looks like either a greenhouse or the front end of a WWII bomber.
But when you can actually create the sphere in Sketchup, you get a nice, clean sphere with no lines in it! Thanks again!

Glad it was useful. The more I play with Sketchup the more cool stuff I find. As a middle school teacher it has always been a struggle to get the kids to "appreciate" the interface. I have my fingers crossed that my newer videos that show the mouse and highlight the shortcuts will help with that.

how do you cut them into 1/4 sphere?

I think you would have to design one that way... let me do some experimenting and get back to you.

Doesnt work. When halfsphere is completed everything disappears. WTF

It is possible you connected the lines to the outside edge instead of the center. If you are at the wrong angle you cannot see it at all. I just did the steps again and they work. Keep me posted if you are still stuck.

Sorry to hear that. In the classroom I remember that several users had to try more than once. I cannot remember what was tripping them up though. 2 years of retirement has all that a bit fuzzy.
