And a huge thank you to you, Paul, too. These things don't happen without leadership and the results speak for themselves. Happy Christmas to all and best wishes for an even more exciting 2024.

And a very mery christmas, and a happy new year to you too. I know other people have said this to you before, but thank you for the regular updates which have been going on over the past 3 years. they have been very informative indeed. It's also a pleasure to meet you in person twice during the Bostin Lodge Tours this year. As a reminder of these occasions, i'm the blind chap in the welsh highland jacket. :d. On behalf of everyone else who watches these videos, thank you for the updates, and we look forward to more updates in the future. See you in 2024.

It's all about people, and a great way to recognise them all in all their guises - management, staff, team, volunteers, supporters and not forgetting the board members. Ff&WHR is nearly 200 years old and still innovating, with new ways of recognising everybody involved, and not forgetting Blanche at the end.

Congratulations for an excellent year and the very best for 2024, from afar your videos and updates have been great, as an old railway boilermaker who trained on steam it is very warming to see the work and effort being rewarded. Kind regards for the season, Ray.

The work that has been done on Blanche is nothing short of miraculous! These engines are living beings and require the hands of a believer to resurrect them! I’m a devout Christian and so was my wife before she departed from the platform of life some six years ago, destination Paradise. It was literally a few months after my wife died i visited Porthmadog, my first visit without her since 1972 the year we were married. I was told at the Railway that this special Engine was getting a refit and my heart soared! Go on, guess what my wife was called!

The 'coal' fireplace at the end of the Obs for Father Christmas reminded me of the Royal Yacht 'Britannia'. When it was being designed, the Queen asked for a real coal fire to be installed in the lounge. After some deliberation, she was told that such a thing was possible, but that a Naval Rating would have to stand next to it when it was lit to ensure the live coals remained in the grate. The Queen considered this, and then decided a regular electric fire would be fine. Could this be something that might be considered to further enhance the visitor experience?
