Which of these microphones is right for you?
The C-80 sound incredible on the sax! Just great for that breathy sound.
They sound fantastic. Thanks for the samples!
I wanted to hear vocals on the Sony c-80
Wow, some pipes on that vocalist! Phew!
Nice & Thanks :)
Thanks for watching (:
got pairs of each...let me know if you want a recording
Between the Sony C80 and Shure SM7B, which one do you recommend for a home studio and raw acoustics?
If you are looking to capture subtle nuance and detail in your vocals and acoustic instruments, the SONY C-80 would be the better choice. But ultimately, the choice will depend upon the specific instruments, the unique qualities of the singer's vocals, and personal preference. >Mark
@@BandH It would only be to record some nasal male vocals, acoustic guitar and electric guitar in an untreated room. Would the Sony C80 be more recommended then?
@@yousendjoker8176 I'd say go for the SM7B - or better, treat the room instead ;) While the C-80 may be more detailed and probably a better sounding mic on many sources, the thing that makes the SM7B a great option is that it rejects a LOT of room sound compared to other mics, especially condensors.
What do they cost?
As of today (10.19.23) the Sony C-80 is $499.99 and the Sony C-100 is $1,249.00
