One of the best advice you give about algae if u have huge clumps of it , just to pull it out .. Because you might do chemical, mechanical filtration and buy clean up crew. Immediate removal of algae you can just pull out helps a ton. People are too lazy to scrap and clean most of the time. But you need to do everything. Scrape it , pull it, chemical, protein skim , clean up crew, water changes, etc.. and just dont rely on one thing..
Hey rico what’s up,great video, bye the way im very happy with the new sump I won in the raffle thanks for everything,it was really nice meeting you,God bless you and your family and lots of thanks to than for having us keep on doing what you do.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Rico - I really enjoy your videos and love your tank build, this is going to be awesome. I caution reefers from using these snails on a long term basis because they will wreck your scape, they are like bulldozers because they are very powerful and don't stop for anything in their way, if their big shells get caught on an SPS frag/etc they are strong enough to dislodge about anything, break corals in half, knock large objects over, etc. They do an amazing job at cleaning, but man they are rough on corals and anything delicate. I literally had a big one one rip a clam's foot off and kill it because it crawled too close to the clam on the rock the clam was attached to.
Love the Mexican turbo snails. They are essential to me in my reef. With that said please give the trochus snail a try. They breed in my tank. Love them.
Black Elephant Limpets munch that stuff also. My rocks are super clean of any algae with around 10 of those and 2 Mexican Turbos. I'm not surprised i imagine they will munch of the green hair at some point but they can be weird of what they eat mine like the algae on the glass anymore they don't even eat the nori sheets.
Hello Rico, where did you get these snails from, I want to add some in my tank as well. Tank is looking good after you added the snails, just watched your recent video..
Hey got a qeustion What are those white spots @4:24 I got them tho in my tank .. Thx in advance bro Tank looking clean again !!! Greetings from The Netherlands
Never doubted ya, next video how to remove 500 turbo snails from a 500 gallon aquarium lol. Still think it would be cool if ya added a display refugium tho.
Two more weeks rico i would not pull them out just yet those little spores still in the crevices you cant see and will pop back out in no time let them clean itss not going to hurt anything with dry rock there is going to be allot of small spores
Turbo snails are one of the best cleaning the tank how ever when they die ooh wee the stinch is unbearable. Even 1 turbo snail can release a huge smell in the tank, Rico you are the man bro bringing a machine gun to a rock fight and as for turf algae comes and goes just running its course, be good homie I like the video and tank...... Wow! 150 turbo smelly snails😷
I love and hate Turbo Snails... I like they way they quickly they eat everything.... I hate how they bull doze frags... And worse of all how quick they die and if I am not on it put all the pollution they ate right back into the tank with their decaying bodies
OMG Rico! That Turf/hair algae should be gone.. How many Tangs you have? What is wrong with them.. ? Why is there ANY green at all? Looks like you need to dump the Tangs as they are not doing there job.

👊👍
Nice looks like they did a really good job
Turbos put in work! For the turf algae you could try a couple of urchins, imo they’re the most underrated clean up crew in the hobby.
Urchins will mess up your corals if they are not glued down.
Hey Bro! I met you at World Wide!
Thanks for the hospitality, the tank was impressive and it was nice to meet you and Jamie in person👍
No problem! Thanks for coming.

Dude when they are done take them out! Each one of those things when they die are like a ticking time bomb.

My wife has 1 Turbo (big dude) in a 15 gallon tall FOWLR, devoured her hair algae in about a week or so.
What is at the end, your old tank? Who’s frag tank?
Hello Rico, where did you get these snails from, I want to add some in my tank as well. Tank is looking good after you added the snails, just watched your recent video..

Great vids as always Rico! Just ordered some today due to some hair algae driving me nuts.
Two more weeks rico i would not pull them out just yet those little spores still in the crevices you cant see and will pop back out in no time let them clean itss not going to hurt anything with dry rock there is going to be allot of small spores
Well a few days was a little off to completely rid the algae. But that’s awesome. Glad to see it’s working out for u
Mexican turbos👍🏾
Nice, looks like they did the job. I’ve never had a turbo snail, but I may try 1 or 2. Keep up the great work Rico 👍🏻🏆
Move a few of the turbos to ur other tanks to help there too. The snail piles are cool though. They sure work.
