I've the X200 Pro for 4 days, it's good indeed but it has problems with underexposure of shadow areas against the light, in vivid mode it's better but in this case it's too saturated for my taste. Also disappointed with the long zoom, it's better than my S24U but it quickly becomes oil painting beyond 10X, this is especially noticeable in landscapes. And I still have my Pixel 8 Pro which remains close to the 9 Pro XL in photo imo which has the same problems as you say for the 9 Pro XL but it remains great for point & shoot with often a good exposure. Thanks for the comparison
Totally agree! I own a Pixel 8 Pro and got Vivo x100 Ultra and I'm disappointed tbh. Nothing mindblowing. I also spotted very early that Pixel wins in full res, even with Vivo's sRaw, which takes so long. The only aspect where Vivo crushes Pixel is portrait mode but I don't use it very often. What I hate the most about Vivo is the AI face retouch (making face look like some cartoon or game character) that can't be disabled and is present even in RAW, that's a madness.
In terms of point and shoot, I love my Pixel compared to all the other ultra phones I've used this year. I think the colors are almost always closer to the natural or true colors from the pictures. When the pictures are printed they always perfectly encapsulated the moment from the original photo. I don't use social media, so showing friends and my son videos and photos had never been done better in my experience. Solid video though, that vivo is a great overall phone.
Pixel is more mature in color rendering and processing, although Google should do more to improve in some major areas like portrait, more realistic natural white balance, zoom, denoised night photos.
I love how the lights look at night with the x200 pro and you should show more macros with the x200 pro because i often here that the x200 pro is the best phone for macros
Using X200 pro since 2 weeks, excellent for photography indeed. Now my S23 ultra has become a secondary phone just for videos only. I hope X200 pro video will improve after software update.
i actually am surprised that the pixel keeps up pretty well, even though vivo is definitelly the winner here... but yea i think if pixel would fix that damn portrait mode and offer more flexibility with their camera they'd put up a fight... as for the video, the general video most likely won't be impressive on the pixel, but the video boost mode is a hell of an option and probably the best video you can currently take with a phone... even though you have to wait for that cloud processing.
Spot on. DxO Mark give the Video Boosted Pixel 9 Pro XL video a higher score than any other mobile device on the planet. Without Video Boost it suffers from excess noise in low light.
@@neilmcguinness4422 i'm not even talking about benchmarks, i've seen it compared to what iphone could do, in a challenging light situation and giving that iphone is considered to be the video "king" (for good reasons) and also seeing the difference, i can only give thumbs up to that video boost feature.
Dear friend I see you from Argentina. although I speak English not as well as you. can you incorporate the audio track in Spanish? Your videos are excellent! Thank you.
Been watching comparison videos forever. I just like basic shots that are side by side zoomed in so you can see the difference. Yes, does the vivo have incredible zoom shots? Yes. But I don't like the smoothing effect that vivo has like many other Chinese phones have. I rather see blemishes and the actual lines in my face then that beauty crap that people like because they don't want to admit that they're getting old or have bad complexion. Is the vivo x200 Pro a great phone? Absolutely. But considering that some of us live in the United States and a lot of these manufacturers need to be vivo, xiaomi, oppo don't give us the radio bands to allow us to use the majority of our 4G lte or even 5G. It's useless for us. I also like it when MKBHD does his blind test comparison and you see the majority of people pick pictures from phones that you wouldn't expect like the Google 7A or even OnePlus 12. Which every UA-camr says isn't great but the majority of people pick that photo. I have incredible photos that I took back in the day with my Huawei p30. I have incredible photos that I took with my s24 ultra. I took incredible landscape pictures in Canada with my pixel 9 Pro XL. Every 4 to 6 months I buy a new smartphone to compare photos with. And it seems like I go back to the pixel phones for a majority of the time. If pictures are all that matters to majority of people, then buy a dedicated camera and do some post. There are features on phones besides pictures that also attribute to a great phone. Simple things like call screening, call recording, or even Google's AI algorithm. Keep up the great work you do on UA-cam. You are in my top five of reviewers.
The 50mp from most of these Chinese phones are not real 50mp, and is mostly upscaled from the binned 12mp, as GSMArena pointed out and it shows. Only the Iphone the Pixel and Samsung are the ones that can do proper remosaic from these 50mp quadbayer sensors.
The Vivo x200 pro has to watch out cause Xperia 1 VII will be coming out in 2025. This year will have an epic battle sight between 2 titans of accurate colors
I agree with pixel giving natural pictures. But can't reverse contrast to the saturated photo? Brother What are you talking about? I have worked in image processing for 4 years professionally and trust me when I say this. Contrast can be removed just as easily as it is added. Now my pixel 7 doesn't have manual mode, Assuming pixel 9 pro xl has manual mode. If you take the RAW image from both, edit them and you are skilled, the vivo picture will come out better every time simply cause it has better hardware. With proper skills you can produce just as beautiful an image as a flagship with an 20k decent camera.
@@picco2833 It's impossible to keep biases out from when it comes to color comparision. When you says pixel is better than vivo because it produces natural colour, it's the processing that's better not the camera module itself. Since there was mention of editing I wade in. For a person with proper color grading skills, it doesn't matter he can replicate pixel processing, vivo processing or any other processing for that matter. This also on picture taken from any phone. Only the details can't be enhanced a lot in editing. So for normal people who don't understand grading or editing go with your preference, some like natural go with pixel like vibrant color go with vivo. It's your preference, no point in fighting over which camera is better based on color reproduction. It's can't be measured objectively If you know color grading go with Vivo because hardware wise it is better, bigger sensor larger mp and zeiss better lenses. Ultrawide and selfie is better in pixel.
the pixel looks really good but it's obvious that it's from a phone, the vivo can dupe people into thinking it's a dedicated camera. Yeah imperfections are there but that gives it more character. Google and Apple's photos feel lifeless to me.
Vivo is only better at long distance Zoom, and even then, you can tell it's digital and therefore unusable. I never go beyond optical Zoom. I think the Pixel is much better, and with video boost even more.
@priyamroy7387 I have pixel I know which is best most of the yotuber are doing paid promotion pixel take far better photos than what they are showing yes the only problem is with portrait

vivo is king now in photography and i am having all phone pixel 9 pro also galaxy s24 ultra but vivo photography is insane .
Vivo has killed it. Its like a Heavyweight vs Middleweight.
That's right. The Pixel may bully iPhone and Samsung at times but it can't bully the Vivo
was waiting for this comparison. I am a little biased towards pixel 😁
I prefer the Vivo!
Again amazing comparison and no bias. Can't imagine it's 3 years plus... and Google still can't fix portraits on pixel.

If you want more lit up shadow areas you could just turn down the contrast slider
Idk if there is an option to turn off AI enhance on the zoom. Otherwise just use the 10x and manually crop after the photo is taken.
