hello i know you don't have time to respond. judging from your page, you must be famous. on this emulator, i reformat the sd card. i hooked it up, turn on my html oprtions but no menu showed. could it be that i deleted the sd card files? my games didn't have mortal kombat trilogy or mythologies or mk 4 for dreamcast so i wanted to re format it

I love it how you literally destroy all of those cheap ass boxes. I know it can be frustrating when playing it, but I’ll save my money for sure. Getting a Raspberry Pi on the other hand is a bit tricky since the reputable companies are out of stock and the ones that do are selling them for twice the price or more. I’ll just wait it out even though I really want a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8GB RAM. I mean I would want the top of the line to make sure it’ll work with what I throw at it.

Love my Raspberry pi . Got it setup it an old Japanese megadrive case . Sits next to my original sega megadrive
I think the issues with getting a Raspberry PI is the technical difficulty with getting Retro Pi, then the actual images via News Servers. I've talk to a lot of people who would love to get the PI, but don't have the technical proficiency to do all that's required to build a PI themselves.
Does anyone know if there a way to download images from a site like Arcade Punks without using a news server service?

Once you learn it's actually pretty easy if you start from scratch. I've been using the same RetroPie setup since 2019 and it's been great.
I use an i5 10400, gf 730, audigy rx, 2tb storage in a very small case barely over a foot high. It is all old parts and emulates like a beast. Ssd for os, cd/dvd drive for physical, 8gb ram, etc. It cost me $350 to make a few years ago, getting used parts is a great way to make a poor man's gaming rig.

Honestly I got one with eBay and it was about £25 few years back and the snes games yeah screen and sound glitches, you can’t change the aspect ratio to core provided like retroarch and yeah crash bandicoot slows down to the point it may just crash.
I don’t even think if I remember mine is the lite version but perhaps next one up?

Any recommendations on a mini PC that can run steam for just the use of Street Fighter 30th Anniversary? Preferably with two USB-A ports for controllers. I'm trying to run a tournament using those Replicade sticks. I tried emulation, but there's not enough buttons for coins.
I look at these, and I wish these emulation boxes were just a bit more quality because that price is neat just for the novelty.

Although a 60" 4k multicade with 2 Sinden's and every single Tek-bird gun game along with every OTHER game costs a lot to ship, but I also only charge 3k for such an insane thing.. But China is doing the very thing that I thought of that was completely possible to do, but because I have actual ethics, I just couldn't be that evil.. Cuz it will eventually catch up to you, and you'll be permanently on the run, pretty similar to McAfee's paranoid ass....

I got the ps classic n it wasn't as simple as some youtubers made it seem. Had to go into configuration files and change commands.
I'm a switch fan. it's my goto console. I've always had some interest in these devices that play 1000's of games.
my concern is that I've had the impression that all these emulated games feel "janky" when playing. like something
just feels off. that you can tell you're not playing the original. am i nuts or are any of my concerns valid? ty in advance.

Hey, man. I know this is a fairly old review but I have been experimenting with this and wanted to add something that I noticed. On my modern Roku TV, the stick runs horrible.
But if you use it on an older hd TV (such as an older element) it runs nearly flawlessly.
I tried it out on three different TVs back to back. And on the older models it seems to work great, except for the PlayStation roms. It isn't amazing but for the price it is decent if it is your only option, and if you have a low end hd TV.
I'm not sure why it struggles on more modern TV's but it is what it is.
Even tho i can easily hook up my laptop to my tv and play good emulators on the full screen... i am tempting to check this out..
I got mine for about 15 euro from ali. And pretty amazed by it for that price. I gotta play hero again after so many years but the bigger games don't run that well. But still for the money it works all preinstalled happely surprized by it. I had no idea what I was buying.
This is wild. A $5 raspberry pi 0 can play Genesis perfectly. I don't see how companies can be comfortable selling this thing.
it's not a big mistake. when he doesn't want to play the game. it's about having the correct bios, otherwise the game won't work, it means that several versions of the bios were made according to the world, the solution is to get the game from a specific country and it will play
I don't know about Rdtro play but I have the original arcade version of the Dragon's Lair on my Laptop it's awsome and I remember when it first came out in 84

Fun fact: The bootleg PS2 controllers actually work on the PS3 and they might work on the PS2 if you get a ps2 to usb dongle
Glad I haven’t bought after seeing/reading reviews / comments…. But can anyone check if it has Defender in the games list? I have The Williams Arcade classic cartridge for the Sega mega drive / genesis system (in storage) as I’d read reviews years ago that this was by far the best way to do it.
I did play Defender on the Sega Megadrive/Genesis & it was very good - but put it away for a rainy day. Nearly finished build on an Arcade Controller to use it properly

Question. Recently had a titanium cage put in my back and I'm bed ridden. My girlfriend bought me the black and green one. The issue is the controllers once you press mode it flashes red and green. Controllers aren't connecting. Used new Energizer and Duracell.. just trying to find a solution while I go through physical therapy. Thanks.
I'd call those controllers PS1 style as the PS2's ones had analog buttons.
So I've been in the emulation community since the beginning. I'm 95% sure what happened is when you launched mortal Kombat it took awhile to load the ISO into memory. You then launched ultimate mortal kombat. Then mortal Kombat started because the ISO finished loading. While you were playing mortal Kombat, ultimate mortal Kombat was loading in the background. You quit mortal Kombat and started Streets of rage, and I'm willing to bet ultimate mortal Kombat was running in the background causing the Genesis to be slow. I can almost guarantee if you would have powered off the system and powered it back on the Genesis games would have played fine.

I ran into the same problems with the Sega games on this, power off didn't help

I wouldn't recommend the HDMI ones. You just know they'll eventually overheat.

I was hoping to use this on my PC's monitor at my desk ... There is exactly one free HDMI port and no USB ports on my monitor whatsoever. Does that mean I can't use this? Everything is working really well on mine except the audio. When I play a PS1 game, the audio crackles. It may be because it's like struggling to run it because it's a big game but idk I'm not very smart when it comes to this stuff. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
