Just wondering if you think after doing this it would be easier instead of peeling the backing off of one whole side of the hood, Maybe just peeling like eight to 12 in at a time then squeezing up to that point and then peeling another 8 to 12 in off so you're not constantly on sticking it like a foot away from where you're working. Just a thought I was thinking haven't done it yet but planning on it great vid.
Thanks for the question. I'm not sure than may be easier, I am just learning to do this as well. From all of the videos I have seen it is recommended to work from the middle out. Then again I just re-did a fender and started at the top edge so idk...?
Thanks! Only time will tell, I don't think it should though considering vinyl wrap is a pretty common thing for cars. I am planning a wheeling trip next weekend though and I can take a close look before and after to see if the current 100 deg temps plus the engine heat seem to effect anything...
Sanding was a big pain, that took a solid few hrs and a lot of elbow grease. The vinyl itself went pretty quick and painless, maybe an 1.5 hrs? And then just prewashing which was pretty quick.
Good job mate. I’m looking to wrap the bonnet of my motorhome. Never done it before. If I can get a result like yours I’ll be well pleased! 👍
Great video man
Excellent work!
Thank you! There is more on the way, in progress now!
Can’t find the rest of the series? Hood and front fender only. Where’s the door, drip rails, hatch

Looks great. Do you think the heat of the engine will be an issue?

What do you think your total time is on all the steps on the hood?

Why not a glossier black like the original paint?
No Modge-Podge Glitter Flakes?
Oh no! That is way to expensive!!!
