If you're interested in more ideas, I'm going to drop a link from the blog - "How to Make Your Wedding Ceremony Unique": wayfaringweddings.com/how-to-have-a-unique-wedding-ceremony/
I’m getting married October 2022, only having 30 guests, we are having a wedding ring warming part of the ceremony. You place the rings in a small bowl, box something nice and pass it amongst your guests at the beginning of the ceremony, each guest should say a prayer, make a warm wish for the couple over the rings, before you each place the rings on.
We’re renting an Airbnb for our 15 person wedding. No one we know has a house big enough for even a small ceremony so that was the way to go. It’s also remote so we can’t order food. So we’re getting all the makings for tacos and sides. We’ll of course have a cake but it’ll be from Walmart (did you know Walmart does three tier cakes?!). It will all cost us below $1,000. Her Dad is officiating and our outfits are cheap. Lack of money was the driving force lol. But we’re happy with how it’s coming together.
Thank you! This video has great tips. If you're looking to save money, the invitations and little "thank you for coming" bags, are a really good way to make things look better, and it's really easy to make them yourself. Also, here in my country is very common that the mothers-in-law make the main meals, and the rest of the family brings dessert and the alcohol. It makes it more intimate, because you're eating your favorite food, made by the people that love you the most. I'm starting to plan my aunt's weeding (I've never planned anything in my life!), she's one of my best friends and both she and her boyfriend are shy people, so they were thinking of not making a ceremony, but they decided to do it (lettingmy mom and I in charge). Only family and 3 friends are invited (so, like, 17 guests lol). I think we're going for the theme wedding (japanese style), a video I'm putting together, lunch, cake, maybe some speeches and that's it. The couple is REALLY not into parties, dancing or else, so ending up early is the real goal.
Oh, how cool! Thanks so much for sharing! Where are you from where that is the tradition- I love it!! I hope more and more people recognize the benefits of small and intimate weddings! 💕
Thanks for the tips we are planning a 30 people wedding and looking at hiring a mansion for a whole week for all of us to spend quality time before during and after the wedding day and also then I can decorate more myself with more time and hopefully less stress than a single day event!
Our idea that we plan to do is we made 4 picnic tables for our backyard cottage wedding, and we'll angle them in a way that they can serve as seating for the ceremony too. And then we can keep households/bubbles separate
Since we got engaged before lockdown hit we planned for the wedding during lockdown so it's just or parents and siblings attending. So 12 people all together. Therefore this year it's gonna be a chill backyard wedding. And then we celebrate our 1st anniversary next year with a big party where all family and friends are invited. Let's hope everything goes according to plan!
I went to a small wedding (pre-covid) that had food trucks and believed it or not the lines were not long at long but I guess it also depends on food/head count/organization
Oh interesting! Yeah, definitely depends on the planning, right? I always just imagine my (non-wedding) experiences with long lines/waits at food trucks which have been less than ideal!
To help with the Covid restrictions I’m about to DJ at a wedding that is using a food truck. I will announce the numbered tables to go up one at a time. Glad to hear your experience worked!
I love the idea of personalization. I think even if people who you can't include could write a card to the couple and a guest could present them to the couple!
I had to make the devastating decision to cancel my wedding in Mexico. I'm getting married June 19th so I'm kind of desperate for smaller wedding ideas!
Ugggghhh I'm so sorry... That's awful. I really hope you can put together something you're excited about, however small and different from what you originally imagined
We live 3000kms from our family and friends and thinking about not going home to get married, but flying our best friends (my best friend of 15 years and his best friend and his friend's partner) because we asked them to be our made of honour and best man, so we would have a very small intimate wedding and then make a great weekend out of it with our chosen family. I'm worried about our family being hurt about this but maybe we can do a live on Facebook so they can see the ceremony? And then we can celebrate at home with more guests any time, when the pandemic ends. Am I being selfish? Just looking for advices🥰
HI! Sorry for the delay on this -- I hope you've been able to come to a solution! I'm really not sure what will work best for your family and for your situation... But I would just say, be honest with what you want: Be honest about it to yourself and to your friends/family. If people are upset when you are being true to what you want, within reason, that's the best you can do! Good luck!
I tried to do the theme wedding with fall colors and everyone just decided to do whatever they want and get mad at me. Its a small wedding, I tried 😔 Especially my soon to be mother in law. She is adoment about wearing her white pantsuit.
Not at all! I think it's a great idea for any small wedding! I'd just make sure you have enough staff to be able to match the demand of your guest number, so no one's waiting for their food too long (always my fear with food trucks!) :)
Love these ideas! We're doing about 40 people at our backyard wedding in June, we canceled our 2020 wedding and I'm honestly grateful. More time to plan! :) Would love to know what your ideas are for how the bride and groom should exit the reception of a backyard wedding at the end of the day!
Just looking at this again thanks to Candy Smith's reply and realized I didn't see the second part of your comment before! - Sorry! If you want to do a grand exit, I would take a look at Pinterest and you'll see there are a ZILLION photo ideas. If you want to just keep it simple and eco friendly, maybe a leaf confetti or flower goodbye could be fun (sparklers are really popular but not the "greenest" and can be a bit of headache to time)!

These are some great ideas. I'm having a 25 guest wedding and taking that opportunity to make it more customized and intimate.
Oh amazing! I would love to know some of your plans! 25 seems like the PERFECT number for a wedding.
I would love a wedding in a cozy winter cottage as the snow blows wildly and the fire crackles
Sounds perfect!
If a small wedding is with 10-50 people, what do you call a wedding with only 4 guests? 😂
My fiancé and I are planning on only inviting our parents😁
sounds PERFECT!! Congrats!
Extra small 🤣
Micro wedding
I think is elopement wedding. ?
“Eloping” 🤣
Thank you! This video has great tips.

I think it will be beautiful ❣️
Love the idea of an open mic and customized gifts/notes.

Brittany Plans a Wedding thank you so much. You’ve given me some amazing ideas from this video so i appreciate you!
Hope you’re still able to enjoy your wedding fully even though it’s not 100% what you expected it to me. Stay strong!
Im having a small wedding just 40 guests...thanks for your tips!!!
Congratulations!!
Great tips, I'm not getting married yet but I'll definitely be using these as I don't want a huge wedding
Same here!
I'll look at it. We are on a tight budget but we want to have our own small wedding. This might be helpful
I hope so! Good luck!
I love your background! Is it a hanging blanket?
Haha! Yes! Thank you, it's a hanging tapestry :)
I really love these ideas! We’re having 20 guests including our officiant and 2 photographers lol
I'm so happy you like them! That sounds PERFECT!!
Hi what is your wedding idea ! I am stuck between eloping or having a small intimate wedding for 20 guests minimum at a nice hotel near by
We live 3000kms from our family and friends and thinking about not going home to get married, but flying our best friends (my best friend of 15 years and his best friend and his friend's partner) because we asked them to be our made of honour and best man, so we would have a very small intimate wedding and then make a great weekend out of it with our chosen family. Thank you for this video! I’m thinking I’m going to be engaged soon and idk anything about weddings 😅
Oooh, pre-congratulations!! :) And don't worry - weddings can be as simple or as complicated as you want! :D
You freaking awesome with these ideas
I’m 16. 🤭
Two years and I’m using this stuff
Loved these ideas! ❤️
You’ve not come to Nigeria that’s why you said a crowd can’t wear the same Colour or shade😅😅
I've heard amazing things about weddings in Nigeria! Would LOVE to go!!
I tried to do the theme wedding with fall colors and everyone just decided to do whatever they want and get mad at me. Its a small wedding, I tried 😔 Especially my soon to be mother in law. She is adoment about wearing her white pantsuit.
Sigh... I'm sorry about that!
I kinda really want an open mic. But the part you saying we’re going to pull you if you speak too long. 😂
This was AMAZING. Thank you so much!!!
YAY! You're welcome, I'm so glad
I've never been to a wedding with food trucks, would this be tacky for an older couple's wedding??
Not at all! I think it's a great idea for any small wedding! I'd just make sure you have enough staff to be able to match the demand of your guest number, so no one's waiting for their food too long (always my fear with food trucks!) :)
i am having themed wedding
You're awesome
You're awesome!
Yasss
👍👍👍
I wish I can even do it a small wedding lol my family and family friends is already at 50 😫
Ouch! Nice to have so much love in your life though :D
Love these ideas! We're doing about 40 people at our backyard wedding in June, we canceled our 2020 wedding and I'm honestly grateful. More time to plan! :)
Would love to know what your ideas are for how the bride and groom should exit the reception of a backyard wedding at the end of the day!
Agreed! I hope it all goes well. Sending luck and love! ❤️
I attended a wedding where the bride and groom exited through lines of light savers (star wars type) that was fun and not messy.

Me and my fiance were thinking of having a reception before our wedding ceremony day. Have you heard of this idea? What do you think?
Hi! I hadn't heard of this, but I don't see why not? Is it for budget reasons?
Great ideas, but there is an annoying noise in this video.
Thanks! Hmm.. sorry about that!
Are you kidding me
I didn't hear the music till I saw your dirty comment. Like seriously.
Anyways, sweetie this is a lovely video. Simple enough 😌 👌
"You know what" is the very serious pandemic called COVID.
Yup
I have 4 guests so far and idk one of them lmao
