- This week we invite you into our lives to experience what Autumn is like when you live in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. We're enjoying mild days, occasional rain, and cooler overnight temperatures. Come with us as we show you around our beautiful region. We also take you along to Beth's brother's birthday celebration in the neighbouring region of Moreton Bay.....

Hi, we're Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.
Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus on travelling around Queensland and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!
We try to post our videos weekly 😊

We are a couple of Poms who enjoy watching your videos. We are very familiar with all the locations you visit having visited the Sunny Coast each year since 2000 as our son lives there.
We are back again towards the end of April for 6 weeks.

Autumn does sound lovely. We were originally hoping to visit in Autumn or September/October time but the only time I could get off work was inJune/July - we’re still hoping it won’t be too cold and we’ll get some blue skies and hopefully warmish days (up to around 20 degrees) - do you mind me asking if that is your experience of Brisbane and Sunshine Coast weather at that time of year? (We’ve found it a bit tricky to gauge) We’re also heading up as far as Airlie beach . Thank you both! ☀🤗
Hi Julie, yes the weather is usually dry and mild during our winter…top temperatures of 21c and lows of around 9c. Airlie Beach will be beautiful….and a few degrees warmer ☀️

By the way… I went back to “school” when I turned 40, completed my degree in Nursing followed on with a post-grad specialty ( which I always dreamed of achieving )
Never too late to conquer your dreams.

Lovely video we have visited the Sunny Coast 16 times from Yorkshire but always in spring October November time it was lovely to see your Autumn days.We have a friend that lives on Bribie Island too thanks for taking us back to our happy place.❤

loved your lovley video ,john has been sleeping alot but he loves every one .alison went mermaiding in weymouth dorset came back with her son lewis and we had a lovley salmon and jacket potato with vegtables alisons cooking of course .sea temperture is 5 degrees cold but good for your mermaid swims

Thanks Grace 🤗 The Sandstone Point Hotel is in the region next to ours (Moreton Bay). It’s an awesome place and tbh, our video didn’t do it justice. It’s totally worth the drive…if you check out their website, you’ll be able to see all the different dining options ❤️

Ha ha thanks. Yes, that’s probably true, but we didn’t need to use the bamboo mat because the sushi was easy to roll without it 🤗

Thanks Patricia 🤗 yes, it’s a ripper! We’ve used it a few times now…it makes sushi-making less messy and they look like the ones in the shops. The best thing is they taste fresher and cost a lot less when you make them yourself…..perfect for visitors 😉
