Caloundra is a great town, I enjoyed living there when I did my pilot training at the now defunct Chopperline Flight Training which later on became Airways Aviation before it was relocated to Lismore.
It is a great town! We have a friend who flew from Italy to live and study to be a pilot in Caloundra also….he now flies for Qatar Airways. We didn’t realise that the pilot training had moved.
I am a dedicated aviation enthusiastic and I loved this episode. Really cool to see all those amazing planes being restored by amazing volunteers. Well done everyone. Thank you Beth and Paul, you made my day✌️🍻✈️🚁
Hi Sarbaaz 🤗 We’re so happy that you enjoyed this video! We had a fantastic time and spent several hours here…it was awesome! The volunteers do an amazing job and are very generous with sharing their knowledge and experience ✈️✈️✈️
Wow that was amazing 😃. It just took you and Paul to show all we missed on our last holiday 😌. Damn! Where were you in 2019😂😜😂. Oh Beth, those beautiful cattle🐂 and sheep 🐑. I could hear a sheep 🐑 in the background at the end of the video. What a lovely sound to be living near. Gosh I miss Caloundra so much. Thanks for the visit ☺️. Take care and see you next week 😃💗🏵️😃.
Hi Carol 🤗 Yes, we ❤️ where we live...the cows are across the road and the sheep live in the block behind our backyard. There are two goats and roosters next door too! Our house in Brisbane was on a busy road, so we're really happy we've swapped traffic noise for rural sounds 😊
Hi Beth and Paul! Lovely video as usual and very interesting visit to the museum!🛩 We leave close by, in Baringa and I couldn’t believe at the 1:33 minutes to see myself and my little daughter Emma 😂 Your chooks said hi to her and also our other daughter Alice (which was at school) in one of your recently video! What a coincidence, I wish I could have see you to say hi, but I was so busy making sand castles lol 😆
Hi Erika 🤗 Wow! That's such a coincidence! It was such a lovely image seeing you both on the beach and someone swimming behind you! I (Beth) quickly captured it on my phone (it actually goes for 16 seconds). Contact us by email if you'd like me to send it to you (bethandpaultravel@gmail.com). Can you please tell Emma that our chooks loved seeing her on UA-cam and they send a big 'Hello' to her and Alice ❤️
What a lovely slice of life Caloundra is. Harriet and I hope to visit one day. Lots to see on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Perfect time of the year, Spring. Thank You Beth and Paul for showing us this slice of life. Most enjoyable. Lots of love to both of you❤❤❤ Harriet, Jim and Yuki. Richmond, Va.
Hi Harriet, Jim & Yuki 🤗 Yes, Caloundra is a beautiful place and has so much to offer including pristine beaches. We also hope you can visit one day ...we're sure you would ❤️ it!
Hi Lynn 🤗 Yes, Caloundra is beautiful and the QLD Air Museum is fantastic! We've been following the late Queen's ceremonies in the UK and it was so nice to see and hear so much of Scotland (Balmoral, Edinburgh, etc.) ❤️
Hi Patricia 🤗 we’re sure he would too! We have a friend from Italy who came to Australia to study to be a pilot at Caloundra and now he is a pilot with Qatar!
Museum looks wonderful visited it several years ago major improvements since then, took bus from malollaba, kiwi driver dropped us off in middle of round about, Bert and I had a great afternoon
Yes, the volunteers at the Museum have done so much work over the years and increased the number of exhibits. It was fantastic! Thanks so much for watching 😊 and we hope it brought back happy memories for you 🤗
Amazing. All these videos made me to take a decision why I should visit Sunshine Coast. I will be there from 6th November onwards. Would love to meet you both for a coffee, if you like to.
Hi Madura 🤗 Thanks for watching our videos! We're really pleased you liked this one 😊 We have some trips coming up over the next couple of months, but if you send us a message when you're here, we'll see what we can do!
This episode REALLY appeals to me. Fantastic aircraft collection and great having those knowledgeable guides. When our Michael was there in 2013, I am sure this would have been on his list of things to see if he had the opportunity. I see it is $15 for a "concession". What is a "concession"? We don't have that term in Canada.
It was Fantastic! Our video probably didn’t do it justice, but it was amazing being able to walk inside some of the planes and hear from the volunteers that flew them or worked on them. Concession is a discounted fee…usually offered to Seniors, Students and welfare recipients 😊
@@BethandPaultravel Aha! I was hoping "concession" was a discount for poor, old-age pensioners like me. Now we just need the "concession: for an airplane ticket to Australia. 🙃
reminds me of taking john to see the yeovil airbase musem which has the experimental concord in ,then he went to the dunny and went to look at the submarine warfare stuff and we spent an hour going in opposite directions in lifts and eventualy met up with an x submarine man who came to our rescue just before closing time .we also have the tank musem in dorset and the cars musem haynes ,also the mumy musem egypt things.great video ,its gone nuts with the funeral of the queen .poor john was intruduced to the queen with his father major general norman clowes
Hi John and Alison 🤗 We watched the BBC coverage of the Queen's funeral tonight. It was wonderful to watch..steeped in tradition and history. Australia is such a young country by comparison. Have a great week!
