Hi Nathan, I was under the impression they finally slowed down the side brush on the J7 after watching a previous video of yours. I recently bought the J7 as an upgrade from my i7, but yes, it's still spinning too fast and scattering debris 😡 Do you know why they changed the firmware back to a fast spinning side brush? There is no need for it to spin fast on open hard floor areas, but it should still spin fast on carpet and baseboards. We need a irobot to fix this in their firmware..... Sure no problem. I think the side brush still slows down when it sees an object. Not sure why it doesn’t slow down in open areas.
I wonder if a Roomba 500 series would cope with that mess...
If you empty the dust bin often it should survive.

I am going to wait on the X1 until it comes to the USA. I have a few NEW robot vacuums coming this month from Tifo, Roborock, and some other manufacturers.
@@RobotMasters okay, cool I think (i’m not sure ) but since ECOVACS released the X1 at CES, it might come soon to the US,
@@yooalex Just from observing the Mopping system on the X1 having used the W10 and the Vibra Rise system found on the Roborock S7. The Vibrarise system performed better overall.
I'm not going to lie I swear my proscenic m7 pro did a better job at cleaning than what my j7 is currently doing. There is usually always debris I find afterwards but for the m7 there seemed to be much less
