Suggestion You might want to do something about the wood piece you snapped because it was a bit too big, Betta might rip it's fins on that because where you snapped it it is sharp there now. You could place a mini filter sponge on it though to cover it up.
Great video, I stumbled across your channel last night and now im looking for the Panorama 35 tank online.... do you know of any online retailers that can ship within the uk? Thanks
Hi MD, I can't believe nobody in the comment section mentioned that you had the blue (night mode) light on when you first turned on the light after scaping the tank. THAT'S why it looked "purple," as you said. All you needed to do is put it back to the white (day mode) setting and things would look normal. I'm sure you probably realized that by now, but you should let your audience know. As always, you rock and remain the best scaping channel on UA-cam.
I stumbled across MD a few months ago when I was really getting into fish tanks. Now I have 4 fish tanks and a shrimp bowl and can’t get enough of this channel!
I stumbled on him and it's what got me into them. I started with a patio pond, am cycling a proper 10 gallon, and got a 20 long on sale I'm going to tackle after the ten is good. And I have four ideas in my head I want to do after that. Aquascaping is a hell of a drug.
@@michaellavella2377 Yea I know! I started with a 10 gallon he had for years. I decided to properly scale and plant that. Then it turned into an 8 gallon cube for a betta and white clouds. Then a 10 long for small tetras, and then a 40 gallon goldfish planted tank. I just received a batch of shrimp in the mail to put in my planted fishbowl and they are loving it. So amazing(except my mom says no more fish tanks until in an adult 😭)
TIP FOR US PEOPLE: I bought a superfish aquahome 30 on eBay because I loved MD's video on the aquahome. What I did not realize is that even with the proper plug converters it is not getting the proper amount of power because our plugs have lower voltage. Due to this my filter doesn't run quite as well as it should. I haven't had any major problems but if you were to get a bigger tank with a more beefy filter it could pose a problem. Love the content, keep it up! You should do an all amazon build next.
I know I feel like MD needs to push this with them. They would be making many sales off his viewers alone. They have a high end look with a beginner budget. My wife’s huge sticking point is how tacky aquariums can look but these all have nice modern looks.
@@brandhark7935 Is there official confirmation? I kind of noticed in the video he said ‘yet’ when talking about their availability in the US, but didn’t watch the video super diligently

I agree. My area is pretty built up and I've only got two aquarium stores within an hour, and none of the products I see on UA-cam are available here. As a newbie picking equivalent products online is a little daunting so I'm going with the suggestions of the fish store I go to. When it comes to fish it's either go with the limited stock at the store or pay for shipping. I would kill for a Maidenhead store like MD has.

@MDFishTanks how do you keep the wood from creating cloudy tannins? I’m working on a 10ft tank for my channel and the whole thing is red right now. I’ve done water changes and still red. I’m using fluval fx6 with carbon and I think I purigen. Nothing is working… the logs are trees and too big to boil… help me…
All the years I have been watching your videos, I always get a kick out of your descriptions at the beginning like, "simple" scape with just "a few" this and "a few" that. During the build it is, "a few bits more" multiple times until you create a spectacular scape. As for the Superfish tanks, I hope they give us yanks a crack at them soon. I am not a fan of the white but I could see this kit in my office. A beautiful scape as usual.
About three weeks I set up my first nano cube (12"x12"x12") after 30 years out of the hobby. Your videos help a lot setting it up. I now have 6 pygmy corys, 6 endlers (who are already spitting out fry), and 12 neo shrimp that I just added. I never see more than 3 shrimp at a time but they are all probably living in my Sargasso Sea of water lettuce. I have already had to scoop out a handful of the stuff. Twice! And it looks like it's time to do it again. That stuff just won't stop growing! I just wish I could find someone who wanted some, I hate throwing out perfectly good stuff. Thanks for the great videos. Very entertaining and informative.

I admire your work and the way you explain, I'm from Canada and we don't have the Nutri Base up here, what is equivalent in north America that I can use. thank you
Hi, Absolutely, love your channel, one question though, I was told that Seiryu stone was bad to use in your tank, causes problems with the water, is this true because you use it a lot in your videos?
Too small for betta although I'm conflicted because it's still an improvement over living in those tiny cups in Petsmart. Still, tiny tanks require more experience and more work than larger tanks.

I would like to see you set up an aquarium with special dimensions (e.g. 80x20x23cm).

I may have missed this but is the acrylic? Such a cute tank I would love to set up in our office
Is the light that comes with the tank kit bright enough to keep those plants alive?

Do u put almond leaves !?
I admire your work and the way you explain, I'm from Canada and we don't have the Nutri Base up here, what is equivalent in north America that I can use. thank you
Waiting for the mudskipper setup
Hi,
Absolutely, love your channel, one question though, I was told that Seiryu stone was bad to use in your tank, causes problems with the water, is this true because you use it a lot in your videos?
I need to get sorted and get back into the hobby…..
Yes
yeea more gangsta fish music, you need a song like fish for thought
"And instructions!" pfhwiiiing! Hahahahaha
Too small for betta although I'm conflicted because it's still an improvement over living in those tiny cups in Petsmart. Still, tiny tanks require more experience and more work than larger tanks.
Like alweys super video and i enjoy watch it :D
Do you have a link for this aquarium, please, mate? I can't seem to find it anywhere in the UK.
