Join my husband and I on an adrenaline pumping sailing adventure through the stunning and remote atolls of French Polynesia ! Experience the challenges of navigating treacherous passes, anchoring in deep waters, and exploring remote island towns. And because this is part of a UA-cam collab and I miserably failed at explaining it this time, I'll take the time to explain it here to clear up any confusion in case you are new. A group of us smaller planner content creators make videos around a theme and this week, the theme is: SAILING. OMG Jess I loved this!! You and Matt should do a separate YT channel with weekly sailing vlogs! Wow that would be so cool to be able to watch you guys! Until then I would love to see more like this mixed in with your planning videos!! I love it when content creators give us some snippets of their lives also, not just planning! I watch them usually several times a week so I feel like I know them, so it’s nice to know a little more always!
In your Q&A video I have so many ? About how you guys started on this, how long you have been sailing before y’all went to full time? do you plan on going back to a “normal” dull life?🤣 without being too personal, how do you finance this, or can you work from sailboat, instead of home? So incredibly sweet Meloney ! 🙏 We have been contemplating for many years now about having a separate channel relating to sailing, traveling and adventures. We really hope to launch that channel this year. I include it with Sailorette.Plans here and there as a tester to see how well I can manage filming and editing those kinds of videos. But also this Sailorette would not be one without the sailing hehe. It makes me really happy to know that you have an interest in getting to know us a little bit more ! Beyond grateful for you !

Those waves at the end were scary; tipping back and forth and no way to hold on or get off. I can understand why you were shaking and cold. I am glad it all worked out okay and wish you safe sailing! Keep making videos like this I loved it!
Hubby had asked me to film because he couldn't since he was at the helm driving us through that madness. I thought the filming would help distract my nerves, but it didn't. I had to put the camera away to make sure I didn't drop it, but also so that I can hold on ! It really was one of the most scariest experiences and I am so afraid of leaving this atoll on this Friday. We underestimated just how insane it could be entering and exiting these atolls. 😩 Thank you for being so incredibly supportive Gail ! You're the best ! 💙🙏⛵️

Absolutely ! Everyday is an adventure and it's really never a dull moment ! It was the most intense and anxiety inducing experience I've had since like 2.5 weeks ago when an aluminum pole fell from 3ft above my Husband's head and stunned him ! 😩 We soooo enjoyed those yummy goods haha ! That tide was truly really scary 😞 Hubby asked me to film so I did, but eventually put the camera down because it wasn't helping distract my nerves and I needed to actually hold on to something with all the crazy rocking back and forth. We are leaving Hao atoll tomorrow, through the same way we came in, and I am having lots of anxiety about it. Thank you Jana for always being so very kind and supportive my friend !!!!! 🙏⛵️💜

Omg ! LOL I'm kind of embarrassed 😆 thank you for subscribing ! On this channel I only occasionally vlog our adventures. Not a very highly produced, filmed or edited video. Probably just a step up from a home style video hahaha, but you know what ? It's REAL. BUT Matt and I are thinking of finally starting our sailing channel for friends and family this year. This is just an experiment to see how I can manage. Anyways, maybe the future sailing channel would be more interesting to you guys lol 💜⛵️

Thank you darlin' ! Really appreciate your time, kindness and support ! 🙏 The dog (Lexi) and my kitty (Logan) did a really great job while we were passing through the second atoll (Hao). When it got too rough Logan goes down below into his safe little nook, and Lexi stays outside in the cockpit with us. She was actually right next to me during the passing, and she did an incredible job. Such a wonderful boat dog ! ⛵️
I feed my pets, cat or dog food (dry kibbles and sometimes wet food for treats). I do not give them any seasick medications either. When we go shopping they both stay on the boat. We leave all the windows doors open for airflow. We are never gone for longer than 3-4 hours max. I walk the dog when I can. She is so small, and am afraid of strays attacking her. The stray dogs in French Polynesia are not very friendly towards people or other dogs. I can certainly talk loads more about pet care and traveling abroad with pets in an upcoming Q&A video coming later this month ! I really love all of your questions and I thank you for taking the time to ask !!! 💜

@@theplanninggirl Oh yes ! They are excellent boat pets ! 😍 BUT Kitty (Logan) and I are the most prone to seasickness. The ocean wasn’t bad at all, just going into the Hao Atoll’s pass was really bad, but that lasted 30mins when it should’ve only taken us 5 mins to make it through the pass. 😩 But it wasn’t bad for long enough for either Kitty or I to get sick.
The dog (Lexi), uses a fake grass pad that we have on the side of the boat for her to use daily. 🥰 ⛵️
