It's sad how many people in this featured in this raw are already gone. What is less sad but still sad that this isn't how WWE conducts their drafts anymore. BaSed off the way you discuss wrestling, as a viewer, I can tell you grew up watching WWE in the mid 2000's, So I'd say you should try to do a review on the ECW One Night Stand 2005 ppv, because while it was a ppv in 2005, the talent on the show aren't all exactly represented of that, more so talent from the 90's, and I think your perspective on the events would be interesting to see from the perspectives of a fan who grew up watching mid 2000's WWE
Youre right. At the time it felt great but in hindsight nothing came from it. Only ECW felt the shake up. Raw: Lashley - had potential but left Mr. Kennedy - had potential but too many injuries (feud with Shawn Michaels was great) Booker T - left Snitsky - had potential but they didnt go all in Smack down: Khali - Only one that they pulled the trigger on. Ric Flair - past his prime to do anything major with (retirement storyline was amazing though). Everyone else wasn’t huge. Smack down got the short end of the stick.
I was there. I vividly remember after the show ended running outside to try and see the smoke and fire from the exploded limo. Turns out they filmed that the night prior. A lot of people were confused
I feel like if this draft was done right it would been great sadly ECW especially ECW got the worst of the draft and it would be like that in the 08 draft as well if it where me I would of drafted John Cena to ECW along side Shelton Umaga Jeff Hardy and maybe Rey Mysterio but that is just me though. 🤔
Not John Cena to be honest but take someone that can still be a big deal like Shelton Jeff Rey Mysterio (if he wasn't injured) umm maybe King Booker. Someone that can bring something to the table to ECW Matt was a good choice in 08 as he was the US Champion and people could take him serious and when Benoit was drafted it made sense as he is an ECW Original and a former TV and Tag Team Champion I believe and plus he main evented Mania and he was a big star during that time still so it made sense. I would like to think that ECW DID get good picks in 07/08/09 but unfortunately in those 3 years the only good picks were Benoit and Hardy cause Boogeyman and Vladimir Kozlov didn't do anything in ECW unfortunately.
Backstage politcs on Raw Awful booking Benoit tragedies Pharmacy scandal Bad press WWE was getting in mid-2007 That's a recipe for a WWE release and that what happen to Booker
Honestly I believe Booker T was more so burned out and needed a lighter schedule like Angle got in TNA also Booker and Sharmell were really good friends with Chris & Nancy from there time in WCW so that wouldn't have made it any better
If you are doing ECW One night stand, i think its best you do the build up to the show as well. The cruisaders and rvd feud with cena and edge and foley vs ecw originals
King Booker being on Raw had potential because he could have feuds with like HBK, Cena etc and would have done stuff with Orton and edge to. Chris Benoit on ECW would have been dope and him being as ECW champ would have been great cause he would have had feuds with Punk, Dreamer, Burke, and Morrison. Chris Masters being on SmackDown had potential to cause I think he would have made a really solid US Champ. Bobby Lashley being on Raw had big time potential because of the push he was getting Ric Flair being on SD could have maybe been cool but Flair was not in his prime at all so it wouldn't matter if he was on SD or Raw Mr Kennedy being on Raw had so much potential but man the way they used him was sad. John Morrison being drafted to ECW should have been a televised Boogeyman, Snitsky, and Khali didn't care about those draft picks at all. Torrie being drafted back to SD don't have any strong opinions on that. This draft was by no means my favorite but IMO it's not the worst either. Good number of these draft picks had potential but they were just not either utilized or got released.
Bobby Lashely should been ECW World Heavyweight Champion defending it on RAW. And WWE World Heavyweight Champion defending that belt on a different program name. Representing ECW brand and General Manager storyline as well. World Heavyweight championship to SMACKDOWN and featured on All WWE PPVs with Smackdown, ECW and RAW.

I miss old wwe man
My 6th birthday was on this draft and it broke my heart as a smackdown guy😂
Me too bro I turned 11.
Backlash 09 , Tna ppvs 2010 , beer money, ray ic,
Late 07 was the beginning of the end
The *cheat code activated* tone was on point my guy 😂
It's sad how many people in this featured in this raw are already gone. What is less sad but still sad that this isn't how WWE conducts their drafts anymore. Come on, matches were we get to see brands interact to determine who gets the pick, this was so much better. Great video. I remember still watching this live and being so disturbed and wondering if it was real or not. Sorry if I made anyone sad.
I want to see edge vs lashley
Hey not sure if you know the poster for the thumbnail has undertaker hands/gloves for edges hands as it was originally undertaker in the poster they changed it after edges MITB cash in if I remember right.
During the Final Week of Bob Barker 50 years in Television and the Host of Price is Right was coming to an END.
Randy ortan vs John cena 2009 rivalry
Youre right. At the time it felt great but in hindsight nothing came from it. Only ECW felt the shake up.
Raw:
Lashley - had potential but left
Mr. Kennedy - had potential but too many injuries (feud with Shawn Michaels was great)
Booker T - left
Snitsky - had potential but they didnt go all in
Smack down:
Khali - Only one that they pulled the trigger on.
Ric Flair - past his prime to do anything major with (retirement storyline was amazing though).
Everyone else wasn’t huge.
Smack down got the short end of the stick.
Kind of strange that Charles Robinson (A Smackdown referee) is refereeing a match with a Raw wrestler and a ECW wrestler 4:44
Since were in 2007 please do a vid on backlash 2007 the best paperview 2007
I don’t remember this draft so thank you
That's when WWE didn't won't a black man a heavy weight champion that's why lashley was the only world champion was drafted
I was there. I vividly remember after the show ended running outside to try and see the smoke and fire from the exploded limo. Turns out they filmed that the night prior. A lot of people were confused
More like the most forgettable tbh (my opinion)
I feel like if this draft was done right it would been great sadly ECW especially ECW got the worst of the draft and it would be like that in the 08 draft as well if it where me I would of drafted John Cena to ECW along side Shelton Umaga Jeff Hardy and maybe Rey Mysterio but that is just me though. 🤔
Never thought of that but would've been great
Not John Cena to be honest but take someone that can still be a big deal like Shelton Jeff Rey Mysterio (if he wasn't injured) umm maybe King Booker.
You should do ecw one night stands
Backstage politcs on Raw
Awful booking
Benoit tragedies
Pharmacy scandal
Bad press WWE was getting in mid-2007
That's a recipe for a WWE release and that what happen to Booker
Honestly I believe Booker T was more so burned out and needed a lighter schedule like Angle got in TNA also Booker and Sharmell were really good friends with Chris & Nancy from there time in WCW so that wouldn't have made it any better
You have to cover the ECW one night stand shows. Those are some of the best ppvs of the ruthless aggression era
Ah yes. The one draft where Vince dies.
Anybody else miss the old format when they picked superstars instead of randomly getting them I think its dumb
do both one night stands 05and 06 with the build ups fro both across both shows
If you are doing ECW One night stand, i think its best you do the build up to the show as well. The cruisaders and rvd feud with cena and edge and foley vs ecw originals
Remember watching this on my bday it was a good episode!
This might be the most forgettable draft ever
Yep.
Cheat code activated using the T-r-i-p-l-e-H buttons
Reading these comments, alot of people started watching in 2007. That's too bad. Man, I'm very glad to have started in 1993.
Why does the third chapter heading say Cesaro vs. CM Punk? 😂
😂😂
5:35 brutal GTS to the shoulder
Wow, I actually forgot the McMahon dying thing was the same night as the Draft.
Hahahaha this show happened in my hometown
You should talk about vengeance 2003 that was awesome
First
Yessss u should do Ecw one night stand 05 & 06 , best ppvs of all time in my opinion
I remember this draft so vividly and it was on my birthday too.
When is ur bday
@@DOWNBAD_Tay June 11th
I think you should do a old ppv out of left field like from the early 90s or something
Bobby Lashley being on Raw had big time potential because of the push he was getting
Ric Flair being on SD could have maybe been cool but Flair was not in his prime at all so it wouldn't matter if he was on SD or Raw
Mr Kennedy being on Raw had so much potential but man the way they used him was sad.
John Morrison being drafted to ECW should have been a televised
Boogeyman, Snitsky, and Khali didn't care about those draft picks at all.
