I spent countless hours on this controller at Messe, It's amazing but... just today, when I finally decided to buy my own, upgrading from a 1st generation launchpad, it seems not very cooperative, It installs as a device, Ableton sees it, but all it ends up being is a velocity and aftertouch sensitive midi note grid, no redbox, no hand controller... what could be wrong?
+Hunterpeople, I have the same problem, looks like this feature is absent in Lite/Intro version, need upgrade: www.ableton.com/en/live/feature-comparison/
+Hunterpeople i had the same problem but it turns out it more simple not using an external instrument if you simply go into sound select the one of your choise drag into 1 go into note mode and there u have it.
Oh my! It's only another useless novation tutorial which has nothing similar to what I have on my launchpad! Honestly! I switch to input 1 and all it does is receive the noise it's creating over and over again. Really getting pissed of with novation and their optimistic views

Yes ok, but how do you properly hook the synth up to the launchpad, do you hook it up to the computer it is on or to the launchpad itself
Re@per either or. You can us USB or midi from your computer/interface or the included midi cables for the LPP
