Very excited to see this project unfold. There are SO MANY of us doing this level of worldbuilding and diorama construction. From Jason Jensen Trains, RadToysGalaxy, WentzillahReeboot’s Amrack Spot, the Outer Multiverse, and Gimmick Starport. You’ve taken your first steps into a much bigger world my friend! ;) 🙌
One fun little 'add on' you could shoot for is having the Pit be dynamic. I grew up loving model railroads, and my grandfather and I visited this amazing placed named Northlandz in NJ. I remember speaking with the original owner while I was there and he mentioned how his goal was to always have something new every time you visit. If you google the set, obviously it is a crazy amount of real estate. He said he didn't care how small the change, a new colored car, a new sign on a building, or a brand new town, he always wanted to give you a reason to come back no matter how small. I thought it was a really amazing mindset to this amazing setup he had. Always finding a new little Easter Egg :)
100%!! I’m with you all the way! Adding movement and a level of interaction to this build is absolutely happening. I too shared a love of model railroads, and I love the story of the owner wanting to deliver a constant experience each time someone visited! Wonderful!
OMG! You could even make use of a tiny sheet of glass inside a "cargo container" to do a miniature "Saint Pepper's Ghost" illusion! ! ! You could take a Sir Alec Guinness figure of Obi Wan Kenobi, paint it azure, hide it in the corner of a "container", shine a light on it, and position the tiny glass sheet wherever you want his "force ghost" to appear! Turning the light on or off can make the force ghost appear or vanish. You might be able to use that as a tiny bit of "storytelling" in the diorama.
Really looking forward to this project and yes... AI is an amazing tool. As a fashion photographer I use it to create moodboards for my team so we're all on the same page. AI really helps to flush out concepts and in my case, often ads detail I would not have thought of.

Love this idea! I did something similar (though admittedly far less elaborate) for Microman/Micronauts toys a billion years ago, building out an environment from two 6-ft tall bookshelves. Can't wait to see how you bring this to life.
OMG Brian! I am SO excited to see this develop and get built. This is such a great idea/direction to take your creativity and channel. Woohoo!!! This is gonna be cool!! Can people send you stuff at scale, just to donate to help out??? If so, let me know what you would like to fit into your cool PIT!!! I just wanna help with your PIT because it would be fun to say I donated something to it, as a community member. It would be an honor for me! As a matter of fact. I just picked up an A-Wing, that would be fun to make it look like it's being worked on by a mechanic and a couple of droids and an alien. Would you be interested?? I am sure it's at Kenner figure scale. I picked it up for $6.00 with a couple of figures. What do you think??
I appreciate you addressing the AI elephant in the room. However, I hope you will consider not referring to generative AI as a tool, but instead classify it as a service. If you were to send your prompts to a human, and had them make these images, you wouldn't call that person a tool would you? Yet the effort on your part would be the same. By calling these services a tool you are perpetuating the idea that the people who engage with these programs are "making" something. I think we all know that ideas are cheap. It is the execution of them that brings fulfilment and growth in the people who willing to endure the process.
So, if a writer makes something based on a writing prompt, they aren't actually making anything by your logic? I genuinely don't get why you people have such a hatred for AI, like what's different between taking inspiration from an AI generator or taking inspiration from a piece of fiction? I genuinely hate people like you.
I do see your point of view, certainly. However if it were a service that would at least imply that I was reaching out to an individual. In this scenario I’m not contacting a service, but using the mechanics of the software to create the image. Much like one would use Photoshop or another piece of software. I would consider that software a tool as well. So by that thinking I believe a tool is a bit better representation of MidJourney in this case. But I do appreciate the feedback and respect your opinion as well.
@@TheSmugglersRoom It's your channel and you can obviously call it whatever you like, but as a professional concept artist who uses photoshop to make a living, I can tell you there is a HUGE difference between making an image in photoshop one brush stroke at a time, and asking an AI to make an image for you. As someone who encourages people to "Make" something out of nothing, I just hoped you would be more interested in bringing attention to the difference between making something, and just asking for it. Best of luck with your project.

Mid to late 40’s? You have to estimate how old you are?
Estimates are my jam!

I almost am offended by your claim that Ideas are cheap as a self identified "Idea Man" LOL
