    Yes, this is a reupload
    The difference is that the amount of zooms was reduced, as there were a lot of people saying that it made it difficult to watch, so it reduced the amount to be more on par with the other videos

    • @jessdoesvids
      @jessdoesvids 7 місяців тому +119

      this might just be me, but i think it's the TYPE of zooms? like when doug changes the title, it zooms out to the whole screen instead of zooming in specifically onto the title being changed. but overall, i don't really think it matters. this channel is INSANELY high quality and i think you should be proud!

    Doug's analysis of the train death belies that he doesn't remember that force is a combination of both mass and acceleration. Remember, that boat which caused that huge bridge to collapse a while ago was traveling only like 5 mph at the time. Trains have a lot of mass, it doesn't matter if they aren't going very fast, if they hit you then they hit you extremely hard.

    • @RedHorseArcher
      @RedHorseArcher Місяць тому +1

      In this case, a fast train is even preferable to a slow one. You don't stand a chance anyway, but a fast train will just sprinkle you everywhere, and in the case of a slow train, your brain may still have those five minutes of life without oxygen and signs of life.

    As someone that nearly drowned in a pool, yes it was terrifying at the start but then you kinda chill out before you lose consciousness. This is due to the lack of oxygen going to the brain. So at that point, you lose all worry and motor functions. So for it, the last thing I saw was the sunlight before "fading to black" whilst I drifted downwards. Overall, I rate this way lower than burning alive. Now, I personally think that where you drown is what makes it either fine or terrifying. If I almost drowned at a river, with water rushing downwards, that would be behind terrifying. In that scenario, I would be flipping around underneath the water, where I don't even know which way is up anymore. Then you got ocean drowning whilst you're scuba diving, that's terrifying because you deeper into the water so there is far less light. Drowning in a pool is like a C tier death, whilst other drownings will be ranked higher up.

    • @Vooblebooble
      @Vooblebooble 5 місяців тому

      One of my favorite things to do in the pool since childhood was to lay down on the shallowest part and watch the way the surface of the water shines from below, so it's a little bit nice to know if I were to ever drown in one at least I'd be seeing one of my favorite things before I died. Thanks.
      Also I'm both extremely sorry that happened, and extremely happy you're still alive today. Hope you're doing well. 🫂🩵

    • @RedHorseArcher
      @RedHorseArcher Місяць тому

      I'm a shitty swimmer, so I've been pulled out of the water twice, and from my point of view, the worst thing is the feeling of absolute hopelessness a meter away from safety. A second ago, you were in a controlled situation. It literally a dozen meters from safety, a little further you could see people, and your leg cramped due to being caughted into an underwater flow funnel and you just floundering. You can't swim, you can't scream, you just pop up for a moment, look at the people on the beach, think, "Well. That's it?", And then you go underwater, and a few seconds later you are pulled out of the water by your hair and towed to the beach, you sit sadly on the sand and think about what your parents will do to you when they find out.

    So I'm currently studying Death Investigations and I also volunteer at the Medical Examiner's Office every week
    The worst way to die, in my opinion, is in the hospital after a major injury. Doesn't matter what is it: burning, drowning, cutting, etc. - the worst possible way to die is wallowing in your own pain for days on end in a bed, unable to even do the most basic of actions in your final moments, while doctors do everything in their power to keep you alive and keep the pain going.

    When victims eventually submerge, they hold their breath for as long as possible, typically 30 to 90 seconds. After that, they inhale some water, splutter, cough and inhale more. Water in the lungs blocks gas exchange in delicate tissues, while inhaling water also triggers the airway to seal shut - a reflex called a laryngospasm. “There is a feeling of tearing and a burning sensation in the chest as water goes down into the airway. Then that sort of slips into a feeling of calmness and tranquility,” describing reports from survivors. That calmness represents the beginnings of the loss of consciousness from oxygen deprivation, which eventually results in the heart stopping and brain death.Taken from a comment made onr/morbidquestions by u/Willster986

      If they hit you head-on at full speed it's instant. Am I correct in assuming the videos you've seen are of passengers falling between the train and the platform when the train is coming to a stop?

      @tadcooper9733 7 місяців тому

      @@i-am-linja Sure but thats basically any swift head injury with a massive metal object, I was more referring to getting runover by a train. and, no, oddly enough the couple I've seen looked to be out in the open, possibly train yards or just outside of the station.

    Doug is kinda stupid he is treating a train like it's a car, like it's just pushing you, if you are laying on the track even at 15mph, the wheel is decapitating you instantly
