Omar Khan, roughly 5 minutes after joining, watches in horror as the repair crews tear the Archangel apart... As the clearly suicidal Romani Prince smiles widely, with an insane glint in his eyes.
"Uhm... Grand Duke... Is that your only ship?" "Yes." "Wouldn't my Archangel be of great aid to you as it would make your fleet more versatile?" "Yes." "So... Why are you disassembling it?" "Yes." Omar to himself mentally:
Good eyes- I saw while I was landing, however Seva's legs are deceptively short and there was nothing nearby to lift whatever leg wasn't in the hole, so I would have knocked out part of the ships centre, and if I just sat over it I wouldn't have gotten it's Bonus (most likely)
hate getting into a game years after everyone else has already had its fun AND there's a controversial patch smh, love the rebuilds though also hehe chirp at 3:41
Tbh thee are still a lot of challenge runs I remember listing out I never tried. HF is suprisingly a pretty active community to this day, but I also know that feeling. Heck I joined a year or so post-release, so even I missed a lot of the early times
Considering the smaller ELINT has a range of 1050km. If you run with two of the large tracking radar that's 4 fire control at a range of 400km. The extra radar range only helps with more response time if you have airplanes or a interceptor destroyer/frigate in your fleet
I'm fully aware that search radar is more gimp than benefit: If you search back on the HF discord I advocated for about a year at this point whenever asked to ditch search radars entirely because of ELINT mechanics because their only fringe use is dealing with N carrier groups and, even then you can make do The extra ELINT range is more than useful imo, especially compared to redundant large FCR, and double-especially when you're sporting a MR700. 1.4x ELINT can't see to the next city often depending on fleet composition of enemy It's also just not sev without the mr700 radar tower getting shot off
Sorry lol, early game with Seva Only is super time crunched, so the landings are pretty much required. Once I've dealt with the last SGs I shouldnt have to land again at all.
From what I understand it was more of a nerf to general mechanics that happened to hit the Sevastopol hard. Armour got less effective and engines got weaker, which heavily knock onto the Sev's combat strength (being an armoured brick) and worst strategic weakness (slow as anything)
That and Sevastopol is the only Heavy Cruiser (Cruiser in general bar archangel) to use 57mm which are shittier after 1.16 at missile intercept (mainly a tac issue), only working with a veeeeeery high density that wont even fit on the Sev's hull. That and general cruiser / damage model nerfs, she gained some weakspots in exchange for double squall, varyag got a lot more OP, and the cruiser damage models are all fucked in a way that hurts player cruisers mainly Oh and under armour APS was mostly removed, but tbh that was a good change. This run turned stale for quite a while thanks to it.

Pain. I completely forgot to reorder the ammoracks at the start and put myself in an uphill fight against need to repair.

Good Start 👍
My aim is horrendously rusty, honestly this start is pretty painful. I appreciate the compliment, tho

Can someone explain the Sevastopol nerf? It never seemed more OP than it should be.
