Thanks Kris! I have starter locs on long hair. I get my hair professionally retwisted every 3 weeks and put in a protective style to keep my hair neat for business meetings. Is 3 weeks too often? Thanks again.
I bike ride, play softball and I sweat a lot. Is washing your hair twice a week, too much, when you are active? Or is it no such thing and just wash it, when you feel it's dirty?
Thank you so much Kris for all this information it's so sad that I'm still working somewhere we do the right thing but I don't know how to tell cleints to not do all of this, they are not ready to hear you out, because they want what they want whatever advice I want to give I rather swallow it and it makes me cry when I see people hair suffer while I have possible reasons to tell them how it happened and I have possible solutions we can look at. THANK YOU ANYWAY
I have mixed hair with comb coils and locking gel, anytime any of my coils get wet, they come out so i've been avoiding washing. Any suggestion on what else I can do so they don't com out? It's been a month since I washed my hair and my loctician said to wait 3-4 months before my first wash and re-twist. Help!
I just washed my starter loc (interloc)2 weeks after my locs done is that okay today was may 3rd week already and i scratch my whole scalp is that natural i just did it once.
I just started my loc journey a month ago my stylist said to come every 2 weeks to have my hair washed and retwist and to only let her wash it. Is going every 2 weeks too often & with starter locs, how often should I oil my scalp?
She making money. I’ve quickly learned that for me starter twists require you to come back quicker like every two weeks bc the hair will come loose. Where as interlock starter locs don’t come loose therefore going every 6 weeks costs less and better for your hair.
@joanneraji4282 You not lying I cut my locs it shrunk from my bottom jawline just under my cheek bones. I felt so embarrassed because it was shoulder length. So I had to watch UA-cam videos on reattached locs. My loctician said I did pretty fairly when I got retwisted

Should one Detox Color to any color or dye to black and do hot oil treatment and interlock or get a retwist in a day ?

If your hair is dirty, smelling or itchy; WASH IT.
Wash as needed for your entire journey
