One reason Efren Is Soo good is because in the Philippines their game they call pool is different than billiards or pocket billiards. It is originally played on smooth ground or a polished table and it uses marbles instead of balls.

Efren is amazing, he'd be at least 100th in snooker. Steve Davis lost in the finals with Efren, Selby won the world 8 ball championship, and they don't really play this kind of pool.

I would say on 58:47 when Efren fouled the 8 ball he knew that he fouled the 8 ball but the referee did not call it so he purposely put the cue ball on a bad position for the 8 and intentionally miss the shot. That bunkshot is too easy for Efren to miss.

not sure which rules were used here but -- In this case if you accidentally touch or move a ball other than the cue ball, there is no penalty. However, your opponent has the option to return any improperly moved balls back to their original locations

Why do commentators feel they have to predict the shots? Don’t they commentate or make comments on the shots players themselves already decide to shoot? I think this is what commentators should be doing rather than being predictors. And then the commentator says the back and forth action is "unbelievable" format. What is that? Again, when Efren wins that's "unbelievable" also. How can anything Efren does be unbelievable?

For any viewer reading comments, it indicates below my last comment time was "1 minute ago" (edited). I edited it to put the name of the commentator I was referring to in my first comment, but my first comment was I day ago (yesterday) not I minute ago. I don't know where the I minute came from. What I wanted to say was about Efren's loss of two games because he didn't CALL the 9-ball. I mean, even if the 9-ball is right in a pocket close enough to fall in if the table was jarred, if it isn't called to go in that pocket (which is the only pocket possible for it to go in), it won't count. There is just no words to describe how bad this rule is, especially for adult professional pool playing to make a rule like that. Who, in their right mind would make a rule like that?
Right after I made my last comment, Mika broke after getting the undeserved 9-ball count from Efren's failure to call his 9-ball. It left Mika with a dead-in 3-9 ball combination he didn't call. So he would NOT have received credit for the 9-ball if he HAD made it, but he didn't. He hung it up and there was no issue. Efren took over from there and ran out to shoot the 9-ball again. As he started to shoot, once again he didn't call the 9-ball. However, this time the crowd roared for him to call it and he did successfully make the 9-ball. So now all the fans are getting in to it to remind a player to call the 9-ball. Efren broke next and made the 9-ball on the break. Of course it counts, it always counts when you make the 9-ball on the break in every 9-ball game I've ever played. But it DID NOT count. What possible reason could there be not to count the 9-ball on the break. Traditionally, the 9-ball has always been good on the break. I hope it's obvious to those in charge of making this rule what I'm trying to say about this ______ rule. I'll let the reader put in his/her own word(s) in the blank.
