Allan Moffat (Canadian who was racing in Australia) had number 9 red trans-am BOSS 302 very first time i saw it i fell in love with Trans-Am series racing
wow, kevin. that might be THE best muscle car in the whole collection. muscle, beautiful lines and color, sound. amazing. this stang rocks. look at that ass end on that thing. whoa. gorgeous blacked out taillights and chrome. car sits perfect on those rims and tires. I photoed and am "borrowing" the pic for my cellphone wallpaper! I say 1970 was the pinnacle of power performance and styling. what compares to a 70 boss 429? or a 70 hemi gtx? or a 70 Buick 455gsx? or a 70 LS6 454 chevelle? or a 70 440 six pack dart or charger or challenger! 70 cars were the best
Nice car, but this is the 24th mustang video. There's nothing wrong with having a favorite, but the next highest number of videos is 16 for the Camaro. I'd sure like to see some more chevys, Corvettes especially (only 7 so far), please. I know they have plenty of vettes in their collection, I'm dying to see some more!
I know this car well I ran with it at several tracks when Mike Friedlander owned it ..You should have shown the paper inspection tags on the roll cage from tracks all over Europe ,it is a cool pace of racing history.....
Nope, there's a camera illusion going on there. The shot was done at 120 frames per second, which stops the action and makes it look like the tires are not spinning. The clutch is super strong in this car, just a trick shot.
The clutch is not slipping, it's just that shot was done in 120 frames per second and it froze the action of the tire with no blur, so it appears that way.
Fred Flinstone the burnout shot was taken at 120 frames per second, which effectively stopped the motion of the tire spinning. Kind of a weird phenomenon, but the clutch is race ready.
Absolutely beautiful example of generating performance parts sales back in the day. Love the car!!! Bada$$

Hi Kevin, The editing is FANTASTIC! Great video, Lou
Thanks Lou!
That is a really cool car, one of my favorites. Awesome exhaust sound too!
The camera work has definitely gotten better lately. Also love how much more action the car got in this video. Nice!
Just wow!
I'd love to own that Mustang!
I'm hooked on this show! It's the last great car feature show!

another great video, still really want to see that Torino race car in an up coming edition
I'm a Ford man love it
Beyond cool.
UA-cam needs a "Love" clicker (Holley-cow this puppy sounds awesome).
what a sound.
really nice too see all four wheel wells stuffed suspension beefed should have made 60s and 70s muscle cars with tires and suspension
Great car!

holy shit does that car sound good.... WANTTTTT
What an awesome machine! I wish Ford , GM & Chrysler would build factory race cars that were production cars, not purpose built race cars...
Dream car
I call that a "Must Have Mustang".
dig the mopar go wing
rad
GREAT MUSTANG
Do one on Smokey Yuniks Camaro #13 , he used to really irritate the Ford teams in the Tran Am serious.
I almost bought this car about 12 years ago..
Can you still find the inline 4 barrel carburetors shown on the Boss 302 engine catalog? Did the inline carb not perform well?
How can I get that exhaust sound for my ringtone?
Great car and great video, but I think you are going to need another clutch. The burnout didn't go well.
Smoked the clutch

did they ever make a mercury cougar with a boss 302 i heard long time ago only 50 were made cant confirm
Sounds nice, too bad the clutch is slipping.
The clutch is not slipping, it's just that shot was done in 120 frames per second and it froze the action of the tire with no blur, so it appears that way.
Missing the Watts Link Rear Suspension?
WHAT THE FUCK?!
I've been subscribed to the V8 TV channel and just saw this, and this is in 1080p. Clearly much better quality.
I feel like a dumbass.
Don't feel bad, we just upped all the Muscle Car Of The Week video to 1080p. Glad you noticed!
Here is the music from inside the car...

That was awesome!!
thing needs a clutch

Like most Fords, it makes a lot of noise & barely goes anywhere. lol
Won the T/A championship in 1970!
This is a high-rpm car, we didn't have the space to really let it rip!
