now you're talking, love these high revving BOSS 302s, the rev limiter box was the first thing most people tossed in the trash and today is worth a mint! Nice one
Hey thanks for the memories. In high school in the 70s I owned a 70 Mustang Mach 1 in the same color/stripes with the shaker scoop. The scoop had a flap door in it activated by vacuum valve that would flap open the door for air on WOT and closed when you were at normal speed which is why these cars also have the blue air cleaner horn under the hood for regular "hot" air breathing during cruise.... and that darn vacuum valve would always be breaking and having to be replaced ...which shows you how much I loved flooring that car and let's not talk about the v-belts flying off once in while during WOT, hahaha. One of the most fun vehicles I've ever owned. Thanks again..love these videos.
So many stories from back in the day. The boss 302 was always cool. I answered an ad for one for sale (1983). Ended up being just the engine, complete, for $350. Snapped it up n had her for 20 years before I sold the beast. Didn't want to sell, but the guy had a beautiful boss with a 351 in her. I found the right guy for that engine! It cost him a bit more than $350. though : ) Great job on these videos
This car was the dream car of a friend of mine who died last week after a heart attack. He never got the car because he just couldn't bring himself to part with the money. I guess the point is, life is short and if you've got a dream car you might as well get out there and buy one. Life is too damn short.
The 69 and 70 boss cars in both 302 and 429 are the pinnacle of beauty .Those cars flat out rocked the streets and dragstrip. The 290 hp rating for the 302 was a joke. That little solid lifter small block wad pushing close to 400 horse easy. Knew a guy who owned both the 302 and 429 and he said he never lost a race. Beat a 68 427 chevelle with the 302 and wasted a 426 hemicuda with the 426. On mickey thompson soft compounds they really hooked up outa the hole.
Almost purchased this exact Boss about 1983, minus shaker. $8000. for an 11k example. I'm kicking myself now, but there was alot of muscle cars for sale way cheaper than that. Amazing ride!
thank you KEVIN for another home town down to earth heart felt warmth from a great presenter and totally 100% good guy - i think i have been watching for a long time 5 years ? and love the selection of cars so well done = you could do another show ? like sports cars of England . thank you keep the good work and thank`s to the film crew !
That is a beauty ! I drive Chevys but I like all of them . I own an engine machine shop and see all types of engines and all of them are fun to rebuild .
You might want to mention they also came with bigger front spindles, a real plus for wear and tear , and from experience with my modded 66 Mustang a big front spoiler makes a huge difference in cooling and stability at speed. one reason every new car has some form of them.
have a '70 White Mach with stroked big port cleveland...very similar looks to this car of the week. Mustangs, even Mach's and Boss's, are pretty common, but every time i think about selling, i think damn its a good looking car. always puts a smile on me when behind the wheel
i had the same white boss 302 back in the day. my boss interior was upgraded with walnut color buttons on the seats and it looked like a mach i interior i think it was bought that way but it was a true boss 302.wish i had that car back now.
Not sure where you lived but in Minnesota and pretty much everywhere else it was around .35!!..He'll, during the oil embargo in '74 a gallon maxed out at about $1.00!!!..So, wherever you were, you were getting SCREWED!!..LOL!!!
Another fab' car. Thanks. I can understand wanting to shake things up a bit, especially after a couple hundred episodes. The new camera work isn't horrible, some of the shots were great just don't go as far as those ADHD shots that seem so popular. Thanks for toning down the music after that last fiasco :) This may be a UA-cam issue but while it says 720hd on the flyout the actual video seemed to be 480. Thanks again and happy new year. (still waitin' for Kevin in a bikini on a wing... New Year special perhaps?)
You might be watching the videos before all the final compressions are done at UA-cam. These are uploaded in 1080 and we can see them play at that res. Take another look, and make sure your settings are set to the highest res. Thanks for watching and the kind comments!
The camaro was a dog outa the hole. Know a guy that had a 69Z28 and said if you were not shifting at 7000 rpms the engine was a pooch. Mustang boss had the better heads and made more low end hp than the camaro also.
Id rip those contraptions off the back window of the car and that dumb wing ..DELETE ..paint it black and get a set of deep dish generic OLD SCHOOL SS chrome wheels...BUT some modern ZR rated tires ..replace the dumb drum brakes in the rear ..because your going to go FAST! and you need to be able to STOP! OH yeah Id also replace that "FORD" suck ass starter.. with some thing like a HEAVY DUTY race type ..STARTER...

Right on!

After all of these I’ve ever seen, over all these decades, I still love them. Classic, ageless looks.
Best looking Mustang made!

Great point... if you can do it, why not?
sorry for your loss, similar scenario lost my friend a few weeks ago too young. He was wanting a Vette and looking hard.
Thanks, my condolences to you as well. Life is so short, we got to get out there and have some fun.
Frozen Canuck Patrick James but beware of Fun

I'm a Camaro guy...but these 69-70 Stangs are simply awesome as well. Thx Kev. ..Merry Xmas and New Year🍻😉👌
We dig 'em all! Thanks for the kind Holiday wishes - same to you!
Another beautiful Car from there collection. I agree with you on the color. Awesome.
You might want to mention they also came with bigger front spindles, a real plus for wear and tear , and from experience with my modded 66 Mustang a big front spoiler makes a huge difference in cooling and stability at speed. one reason every new car has some form of them.
Thank you for doing this every week. A true joy to watch.
The pleasure is all ours, thanks for watching and the kind comment!

Weekly treat. Thanks!
Thanks for hanging out with us!
Awesome car, I love the Ford Mustang ‘64 1/2 to ‘73 and some of the late models!
Still looks awesome after all of these years, this car had everything.
Beautiful car nice in white with the black hockey stick stripes and of course it would be in the brothers collection
The car looks great. The video looks very nice as well. Great work! Thanks for sharing the Brother's Collection with us.
Absolutely gorgeous that car is a gem!
Loved it, I owned a white one in 1970, got 9 mpg. Gas was 70 cents per gal.
😂

That's seems to have been it. I'm just so eager to see the next episode :) Thanks.
I was smart enough to purchase a 67 427 conv Corvette though. Still have that one today.
Time machine. ...ah yess : )
Wow, too cool!
Beautiful, just beautiful! Another great episode!
Thank you sir!
Beautiful car
I love the white and black. I've got a friend who has a few of these, even a Boss 302 Eliminator Cougar. Very nice cars.
Too cool. Those Cougars are hot, especially the BOSS!
Stunning car
Beautiful my favorite year!
Love it. Beautiful Mustang.
Wimbledon White is my favorite color for the Mustang
a car that packs a punch
My father had a triple black 1971 mustang convertible, it was clean and fast as hell. to bad he totaled it out :(
'67 Z28 for me, looks more elegant and makes a more tuneful noise. Great Stang nonetheless!
All those Trans Am street cars are cool!
The camaro was a dog outa the hole. Know a guy that had a 69Z28 and said if you were not shifting at 7000 rpms the engine was a pooch. Mustang boss had the better heads and made more low end hp than the camaro also.
preciosooo
I know who the ‘Boss’ is!!!
We all do :)
ill take two please.
What was the actual Horsepower of the BOSS 302?
close to 400 hp
They don't have an Javalin Trans Am cars...huh a notable hole in "The brothers" collection
There is this one... ua-cam.com/video/RfgG-691-cE/v-deo.html
Ill take the orange aar cuda thank you
That AAR is sweet!
OK looks better in black
Still looking for that Corvair or something a bit different from the collection.
Gr8 colour
"Boss" 302... like the company owner's nephew who got a management position due to nepotism. Now, the BOSS 429... that guy EARNED his position!
