    This is a great how to vid. Most vids I've seen don't shoe the assembly. I have done three tire changes. Two things I would recommned is pulling the upper board off completely. I was not comfortable with the board dangling while I worked on the wheel. All the connectors are different so there can be no confusion. Its pretty straight forward. Also, like he said, don't forget to string your zipties through the board holes before you fasten the upper board.
    The first tire change is time consuming but i was nearly half faster on the second one. The third change was like walking.
    Use blue locktite into metal and don't over tighten the into plastic screws.
    Good luck have fun.

    Such a great presentation, professional and calm! Might have suggest a slight heatgun( low temperature) to force the motor cable back into its channel. (and took a new pair of plastic clips for the connector on the mother board). Thanks so much for sharing and very Nice shooting for the video

    I was all set to get this wheel until I saw this video. All of that disassembly in order to change a tire is ridiculous. I can't imagine being stranded on the side of a road trying to fix a flat tire. Inmotion you've got to do better. I wonder if the V11Y has simplified this process?

    Awesome video! Very curious about 1 thing tho:
    I once changed my tire on a Gotway Tesla v1. As soon as i attached the 2 big yellow connectors after changing the tire, a spark appeared and the connectors got destroyed.
    My question is: Did Inmotion make some kind of safety for that case, so that you easily can connect them to each other, without any problems? Hope my question makes sence - would help me a lot!

    • @2cells1pack

    Hello there, so I was following your tutorial, moving right along through the steps you were showing,got to the step were you had removed the four tiny Phillips head screws that hold the little plastic cover that goes over the wire's, next step would have been to remove the four hex screws that hold the cover on to the main electronics chamber. Except the screws on mine were phillilps, and as soon as I started to back out the first screw, the wheel came alive full throtttle( lucky I had it in a split vise stand), and would not respond to the power button being pressed, wouldn't respond to anything. So I held it solidly in place as it continued to burn rubber in the stand I had it in. It was starting to fuck up the tire so I decided to lift it out of the stand and when I did that, the crazy freespinning stopped,but it was spinning just a tiny bit in spurts, and then making a noise that sounded like someone racking a bullet in a pistol,from the speaker! I'm not sure what happened, at all, only thing I did was start to turn one of four screw that hold the top electronics chambers cover on. Any idea what's happening to my v11? It's laying on the floor of my garage silently, but I may put it outside for the night cuz I'm not really trusting it at the moment. Any Info you have would be appreciated. Thank you for your timeh!

      Woah. Weird. That’s extremely odd. In regards to the screw consistency, manufacturers do sometimes change the screw types between batches.
      Could there be a crimped wire in your power button lines that shorted and caused it to turn on?

    • @thatguyjoel9885
      @thatguyjoel9885 10 місяців тому

      Thank you for the reply, well here I am two days later, I've replaced the tire tube successfully, reassembled the wheel most of the way, except I can't get the hall sensor clip to seat on the female part of the clip that's attached to the motherboard. I don't want to force anything, ive tried pushing firmly , but it won't click and stay in place. It's looks functional, but it's not clicking. I don't want to have glue the thing in place, won't be able to change the tube in the future if i do that. I'm at a loss as to what to do. I feel if I keep trying to make it work I will break it. That can't happen. This is my sole transportation. Ugh I'm so frustrated at the moment. .
