$TAO has dropped from $700 now to around $235 - so assuming this video is quite old, saying that due to the price action since your video now that its at $235, do you still think it can hit $22,000 per TAO by EOY 2025??

I think there are certain things you overlook on this ‘pessimistic price’. 80% of the people who invest into crypto during these alt season periods don’t have a clue about the technology and frankly don’t care. Cardano did so well because their marketing was genius, which bittensor has virtually none. This was coupled with the low price and the belief of new investors that a coin that was $0.002 was going to eventually go to $60k like Bitcoin. More about psychology than tech, I’m heavily in TAO but I think it’s a longer game than you anticipate.

I have 1 tao and 70k kaspa. I doesnt wanted to buy tao, but I tought. Only 200 dollars is ok, and if its failed it isnt that bad. If its go to 10k, i have a paycheck bonus. I think 2-5 dollar kaspa, and o will do wirh my kaspa I think 200k :). My goal is 300k networth until end of 2025. Becuase than i can buy btc in the next bearmarket and become a millionare by 2029 and dont have to work ever again

Tesla is not the best AI company on the planet. Not even close!
OpenAI/Microsoft, Meta, Amazon (through Anthropic) and Alphabet are all miles ahead of Elon.
Case in point, Tesla has not released any foundational models of significance. Sure it has Grok, but Llama 3 and more recently Gemma 2 eclipse anything Elon has achieved in the field. Put simply, he has no moat.
TAO stress test
TAO token has no utility aside from its value which incentivises miners to deliver a better output.
basically TAO’s price is just a reflection of speculation of future TAO price based on AI from TAO contribution to the AI market.
TAO price depends on the markets valuation of TAOs AI outputs
However TAO AI is not a market winner in any area of AI imo
for example
Efficiency (best output)
AI on TAO can never compete with centralised data centres specialised for AI with millions of GPUs in close proximity using infinity band links.
tao ai < centralised data centres (ai market based on best output)
then another sub AI market is AI that is the most decentralised and most importantly secure.
TAO AI is not on chain and not fully decentralised compared to AI as a smart contact.
(i know you think ICP is a shit coin but to keep this comment as short as possible - ICP is the only blockchain that runs AI as a smart contact fully on chain. don’t listen to me to, dyor and see what i mean)
so TAO AI is not ran as a smart contact which means it loses to AI on ICP as smart contacts when decentralisation and security are the top priority.
tao AI < AI as smart contact on ICP (ai market based on most secure + decentralised solution)
So AI outputs on TAO seem to be losers in the AI market based on different criteria of customers. So if TAO AI is a bad product (relative to the market) then TAO price decreases, miner rewards decrease, TAO price decreases and soo on.
TAO will do well in the bull run due to speculation but long term i can’t see how it makes a competitive product on the market and therefore means the TAO price seems doomed to tank long term imho.
This is the main reason why i think TAO will trend to $0 long term
tldr: you are better off using centralised AI for better outputs and anyone who prioritises decentralisation and security will run AI as a smart contact on ICP.
other issues i have.
a majority of validator nodes are ran by the Opentensor foundation. This means the opentensor teams have centralised the validation and get a large share of the 41% of 7200 TAO to validators
The AI is not on chain so it is not tamperproof or fully decentralised
Hey please correct any mistakes i have made but TAO looks like a coiled spring. speculation will moon this fucker but when it is left to stand on its own legs and the outputs and their market value can’t keep a stable TAO price, the outputs will only get worse (relative the rest of the market) and then the price of TAO decreases and so on.
TAO seems like a hub for people to create subjects and do some work that meets their game theory quota and get a shit time of cash. i get 72”” is a small amount of the circulating MC but for tao pete to sustain their needs to be a permanent speculative interest which i can’t see long term of the outputs are market losers long term
If you don’t believe my opinion here are so questions to research.
1) Is ICP the only blockchain that runs AI as a smart contact?
2) is AI as a smart contact more secure and decentralised than TAO?
i think the answer is yes to both of these. if you agree, does your opinion on TAO change?
Bonus question
do you believe the TAO price depends on the markets valuation of TAO outputs (+ speculation)?
do you believe AI on TAO outputs compete with centralised data centres specialised for AI?
and the decentralisation and security offered by AI ran as a smart contact?
i am not a TAO expert i don’t know everything these are just my initial fundamental analysis. i don’t mind being proven wrong. free discuss for truth is needed.
EXTRA NOTE:
so the argument that AI would choose to be on TAO soo it can earn rewards is good face value. but rewards are a secondary desire to self preservation. imo AI would prioritise being a smart contact (as it is tamperproof and automous) over gaining rewards.
choosing smart contracts is like being sustainable and choosing rewards 1st is like fossil fuels.
yes you get more cash but the life span is limited.
