Our military man here gets a new task, to go off to find the missing professor Dubinin. But the start of this investigation begins with a search for a stalker that the professor was seen working with.

Will we find out what happens to our beloved stalker?

Damn, I wish there was something like a karma system from Metro games. Some missions also could have differerent endings depending on protagonist choice(pacifist or agressor)
When you played as Axe and acted like scumbag(killing neutrals, refusing the quests, always used force over converstation), you'll get the ending with his death.
If you choose to be a better person, Axe can survive.
Also the trader in Army Warehouses is Sidorivich's early variant from Oblivion Lost builds(extremly early alpha versions of STALKER) named Toad. And the bunker is also from alpha builds.
Modders included Vova Vist. The infamous machine gunner from Clear Sky. The nicknames for NPC's are random. This particular stuck with this character because of one of streamers Maddyson who managed to kill him and searched the body
That's exactly what I thought.
Or at least, if they really wanted the tragic ending, they could have an event where the stalkers created some sort of mural or memorial for Axe at the Cordon and the Bar, if you chose to help everyone
I was really hoping to see that when I escaped Duty
Like.. stealth, no stealth made no difference. Such an easy setup right there to make it have impact.
Lot to ask I suppose when really putting this all together.
That's not karma... That's forced on u by script. Axe will die that way no matter what. It's more like game writer karma being make u feel it's your own. 😅
This is stupidest stalker game. Free stalker or any factions name even have some meaning in Stalker game u know. That's what define them. In orginal Stalker there is a storyline but u not forced to that. U can play it like u want if u want. But have to play within consequences of your choices u make.. still nothing is forced through script on u like in this. It's just that your choices can make things tough or easier for u.
I'm seriously getting more and more pissed about this game's storyline. The UNISG guys can go and step on a mine and blow to smithereens.
Mad respect for giving a minute of silence to Axe. He didn't do anything bad..he did what he could.. :\

How he survived my greetings ritual, in which, every time I play either Clear Sky, Shadow of Chernobyl, or Anomaly, I go completely under equipped and massacre entire Base?

When i saw the gear you had upgraded, I had a bad feeling, wondering “If thats his gear, where’s Axe?”
Then the plot twist happened and I literally said out loud:

it wouldnt be a stalker story mod without like 67 million knockout transitions XD and i also got upset at the axe ending and wish there was more to him ;C

Wanna get even more pissed at Termite? One of the dead bodies in Chord’s camp is Wolf from the rookie village.

you forgot to mention that Termite escapes at the end of the game
Wolf's corpse looks pretty dried up and old unlike the rest of the guys that you find, not to mention that he doesn't have any loot on him.
He prolly died long before chord's group got annihilated. Funny thing is, he is often found dead in this area in SoC because he is often spawned directly ontop of the campfire causing him to unnecessarily burn to death.
it was disheartening when I found him but a pretty cool detail nonetheless

Oh, man, even a new character needs to be knocked out just to progress the plot. Again. God I hate how overused that was. It's half of what made me quit...
(The other half being lack of player respect or agency that defined STALKER. I'm still salty that I couldn't assault the Bandit Base when I could already solo it at the point we're forced to sneak in and forced to fail.)
You, as a player though, you're pretty good here. And I relate to your pain in real-time
It's ambitious, and it shows... but I would honestly rate this mod a 3/10. People who say STALKER 2 should be like this have no idea what they're saying, especially with how they outright removed most of the organic and immersive interactions with the world. It's one of the worst STALKER mods I have ever played.
Yea I completely agree with this, and don’t understand the hype with this mod. I spent ages building up the best gear for axe, only for him to be knocked out again for the 400th time and killed off screen. Plus without spoiling the ending was just shit, no resolution and after the journey not satisfying

@older92 Actually, I played Radiophobia 3 after trying True Stalker. Radiophobia is phenomenal, even for a remake of Shadow of Chernobyl. All the new plotlines they added and new features make it fresh, and it still respects your player agency and decisions, and it's even more immersive and tense
the biggest problem i have with this mod is the story, it's just bad, too much cutscene too much scripted event. other than that the zone don't feel lively, like nothing really change when the player not there, i know this is s story driven mod but can i have a bit more freedom please. The game make me play by their way not mine, like when i first enter rostock i could shoot the bandit but no let him come close and punch me in the face instead ; then the bandit base part, where the good bandit got kill, and while i have good enough gear to kill the bandit boss and his men, the game just force me to run away, when i escape the duty's prison i could wipe out the whole duty base in my exo suit but no let run away like a b*tch, and a lot more bullcrap that the game throw at me that i don't even remember now. the only thing keep me playing till the end is i thought my choice have any actual impact, like a better ending or something but nope all the ending is almost the same. the whole game was just a frustrated experience, what a waste of potential

Well, I think axe commited sucicide because his friend died and all the trauma he went through sooo yeah love these stalker vids man never fail me!

if u play for first time in true stalker after getting drunk with yurik u can just leave the zone by going in the tunnel u went through

I liked the game and story till like ending of chapter 6, chapter 7 was unique and chapter 8 or 9 had Army Warehouses and OH BOY I love the music at the AW trader, however the ending seems rushed and quite disappointing. Also the military character has 0 to none way of becoming what you choose to be, you just have to be a military loyal lawful idiot and cant even develop into loner like sympathiser. Why the game doesnt let us choose, like it did with Axe? It would make the military char story better, take for example the yantar chapter 7 ending, imagine if the ending of giving him up to duty would let us later get some recognition at the duty guys and they wouldnt turn hostile, like when you do stuff as Axe, but no. From chapter 7 it just goes blank basic linear stalker mod way :/
