Resin is plastic. Resin is generally used for poured acrylics. Plastic for injection molded. But the terms mean the same thing, a generic name for an organic polymer. Liked your approach. I am uploading my review. We agree on this pen.

Which one has the larger ink capacity?
@@solar7927 the 456 is going to have the larger ink capacity. The 268 is no slouch though.
I have been using a 268 as my main writer for the last week. I have had the same experience with the nib on mine - probably the best tuned SF nib I have ever received on an PenBBS in terms of smoothness and flow.
The nib is definitely nice on mine as well. Glad you are enjoying yours!
i love this pen! i fly quite often (several times a year) and i find vac fillers (with the shut-off valve) very useful.
My first one was a twsbi 700, which i loved and still do. But it is very nice to see vac fillers for 1/7th the price.
Also have 456 as well as the 268 and i love them both. (Although my 456 is non-transparent which makes it hard to guess how much ink i have left in it. Have to hold it up to light)
I agree! Vac fillers are great especially of you travel a lot
PenBBS & Wing Sung realize that our kids, they always have to be safer, have a right to a vacuum filler. A piston filler like the Wing Sung 3008 it does not like to be scrambled too much in a school bag.

My penbbs was skipping the first time I used it. In reaction, I thoroughly cleaned it because I had new ink coming as I thought it was broken
Another great video, thanks. Great size comparisons! Glad your 268 posts better than my example. I also did not notice it has no nib housing and also that it was plastic and not turned acrylic. Still, a good buy. Wondering how you got a Medium with your 456 Symphony. I got yet another F nib. Perhaps you scored one of the PenBBS Medium nib charms from a few months back.
I did use one of the charms and changed out the nib

@@xkrfan I would still prefer a jowo or a Bobby nib. It's not knocking the penbbs nib I just prefer the other.
I find the 268 to be a better EDC after using it for a couple of weeks due to the fast cap unscrewing. The durability remains a question though
I still enjoy my 456 better and am okay using it as edc EDC even with the additional weight and size. The plastic on the 268 definitely does not feel as nice, but I think it will hold up for a while. It will be interesting to see how the wingsung compares to the two of them.
What is the color of your penbbs 456(the one at the top) ? It looked stunning ! Is it dawn cloud ? Or cordierite ?
I really loved this pen,268, but it formed 3 cracks on the section that leaked ink .... :-(
Now it is resting in my drawer for the RIP fountain pens ....
Styrene, which is the usual choice for injection molding, is inherently brittle. Between the stress to which a vac mechanism subjects the barrel and the capacity, it's a very poor choice.
Turned acrylic, polycarbonate, or other decent resin only for me.
Thanks. Now I know the differences. To me, about an added 1/4 inch difference in length isn't worth the extra money.
Nice to know they both use a #6 nib. My 494 uses a Lamy nib. No where near as many nib options as with the #6 or even #5 nibs.
The feed won't come out of my 494 again, or I'd try one of my Jinhao X450 #6 feeds and nibs in it.

I'm glad fountain pens are reaching even US$1.3 nowadays (with piston and 0.7 nib), still
higher compared to good pens like the US$0.5 cent Standard BPM 0.7 medium
but it's getting closer.

I prefer my 456 over any other vac filler. When you compare the penbbs 268 and 3013 I would go with the 3013.

Do you know if the 268 or the 456 will thread into the TWSBI Vac20a filling system?

i dont have the bottle, but my guesstimation tells me that the threads on the twsbi (vac 700) barrel are different to both of the penbbs ones.
which pen has better quality, The penbbs 268 or winging 699?
I wn a Wingsung 699 and love it.
