Good job! I do this daily for a living. If you have weights always mark where your valve is and bead seal is a must i say on old rims

I have the same setup and the same tire bead lubricant. You mentioned that water can cause rust on the wheel and when I got that lubricant I read the instructions on it and it's supposed to be diluted 4:1 with water. So much for preventing rust.

Keep your eye out at auctions or sales for one of those bead setter air tanks. I got ahold of one for $35 so I just fill it before I change the tire and use that instead of farting around with trying to set the bead. All my tires seem to need work on Sunday morning when I need to use the equipment they are on. Good video.

The new black tire stand is superior to the old red one. I am pleased with mine.

Yes, I seen where people had trouble with the red ones but so far mine has been trouble free

I do all of my tires on this machine I was having a ton of problems trying to set the beads on the tire before you can air the tire up. I don’t mess around with a ratchet strap or anything else. I use the fire trick and it works painlessly every single time. I set the tire on the ground. Then I spray a little brake parts cleaner in between the tire and rim and over the tire onto the ground as a wick. I light the wick and it causes a little explosion inside the tire and forces both beads into place. I never struggle with this step anymore. Make sure you don’t use a lot of brake parts cleaner, ether, or any flammable spray etc. or this can be extremely dangerous. Less is more.

You could have brushed the sealant around the rim where you cleaned up. The sealant seals the bare metal. Good luck with the dump trailer tires. Thanks for the videos.

Now that you mention that I always see the tire shops put sealant/lube on the tires and the rim, definitely will be doing that next time, thanks for the tip!

Just an observation: when you were installing the new tire you have the installer upside down. At the very end of the pole, the wide part has a notch that is designed to ride the rim and the narrow part faces upward and guides the bead downward over then rim. You would have had a much easier time using it correctly.

There are lots of videos on mods being done. To lessen the human force needed. Just saying. Thanks for sharing.

IT CALLED A WHEEL NOT RIM. the rim is the outer part of a wheel. the outer bead seat is edge that the tire bead seats on the WHEEL

      Rim is perfectly acceptable.
If you've never heard it - i. e. "Got a new set of rims." - then you've led a sheltered life.
