"...You've been hiring very strange people lately...", that was priceless😂😂😂😂.
And she took her mug, that was off the charts.
"Overqualified" means that they can't afford to pay you what you could demand.
exactly
ain't it the truth!!! Lol!
..........how is this a shock to me?
check out the big brain on edvard! he's a smart mofo!
They don´t want to afford to pay you what you could demand.
"You are over qualified to be an accountant." "That's OK. I don't intend to work very hard." Priceless.
She sounds like a millennial.
@@russkate88 No, she sounds like someone who is wise beyond her years because she understands that laboring for someone is is the modern equivalent to indentured servitude. Even if you make $250k with today's money, you still won't have the purchasing power that a typical family had from the early 1950s.
@@PixelPi Without no questions & just some simple math I'll take that 250K please. At 250K your standard of living is many times greater than someone making the median income of $2,300 in 1952.
I don't think you thought that through.
A lot of thought went into writing the script. Well done, whoever did it.
Very much
Exactly! I would love to get in the minds of great writers to know what makes them tick
Marty Hill wrote it. It's in the credits. 🙂
You're over qualified.
"That's OK, I don't tend to work very hard" 😂😂
This truth is rarely expressed openly in job interviews.
@Another Virtual Identity of Someone Who Isn't Me there may be better companies who are looking for you
*intend, not tend
I didn't understand, what's wrong with this answer!:D
Inteeeeend
This was a well written and well executed comedy short. Wonderfully done.
The tension between them is hilarious. I think they would hate working with each other but somehow get things done
Haha yes!
So that's what I'm doing wrong in my interviews!
Very well played ladies and funny ASF 🤣😂😂 keep it up (we want more)
Thanks for watching!
That was highly unrealistic, but amusing and entertaining no less. I would love to see more!
Really? if you didnt tell us it was not real, we wouldn't know that! Thanks Matthew, you are a genius!
Wait this wasn't real? I've been bamboozled.
Wow, this is an extremely well written short 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. The acting is great too 💯
Absolutely love it. The applicant is so adorable and the Personnel director is perfect.
That’s What I Thought too
the dynamic shift at 3:02 is masterful...after this moment I just found out that the camera is framed so they both look like they're sitting in the boss position...
Paul Del Vechhio -- this was simply 5 stars, why don't you make some more like this.
She really displayed it, she's overqualified 😂❤
I like that look on the applicant's face after saying she doesn't intend to work that hard, after the interviewer's reaction.
Great sketch. Keeps you guessing the whole way. Just when I thought they'd exhausted the twists, they give you more. Lol'd at 3:11. Often these games can get tired after a minute, but not so here.
Amazing script writing!!
DEar god, thank you for the giggles!!! I'm studying to be a chartered accountant, and I cannot explain how funny that was!
That was hilarious! Love the premise. I just couldn't quit watching...
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
No, you can't QUIT watching because you're FIRED.
you both were never hired.
I'm going to talk to a lawyer and do research to see if this would legally work if I got it recorded...
+SonicPrototype i don't think you can hire above your level without permission anyway.
Also you would have to have paperwork done anyway.
no it wouldn't because nobody would act so childish, she never signed any paper and last you can't just fire people because you want to, you still need a serious motivation. Actually the video could have more realistically ended by just suing for futile motivations.
Nereus Yes, you can fire people without motivation. Actually it would be better to fire without motivation, so they can't really 'sue' you. And if they did sue you then you can't work for your boss anymore because you ruined the relationship. So it's a win-win for the boss (off course he gonna pay all the legal documents and pay-outs, including raises and ancienity).
agreed just what i was going to say. and i don't think having permission applies, you just can't. That would be like hiring your boss. Which would have a conflict of interest.
the moment she said, that it would not be enough, i knew what would happen. but the reveal was priceless :)
Every second is pure GOLD!
That's what happens when you have a great script and great actors! :)
Excellent turn of events! Love it
"No it's too late, I don't work here any more." Haha
Genius! You can't fire me because I didn't accept! Lmao
That was amazing! I love the change of roles there!
Brilliant!!! Well written and acted. Intense. I loved it!!
im tempted to send this to my boss
Do it!
Then post the link to your TIFU in reddit.
Did u send it?
@@sumairrehman9371 I will lol
Funny, the FIRST thing I did was blast it out on our #General Slack channel
Why? Are you TRYING to get fired??
haha awesome. I wish all interviews went like this
We never found out whether the candidate for head of personnel had any experience - what a cliff-hanger!
Lol maybe that’s material for a sequel haha
Yes please
Absolutely brilliant.
Script, settings, cast, acting story all well done.
Very proud of the work.
Thanks!
What a great sketch, brilliant writing and production 👍
Well written sketch. Underrated by UA-cam algorithm to be recommended this late....you are fired.
Brilliance. Wonderfully well acted and written even better. Thank you.
It's not easy to make other comedians crack up but we we lol'd!!!! Very clever and well shot!
Thanks so much! The writer did an amazing job on the script in my opinion.
1:26: PFT! What a savage!🤣
Brilliant!!! "You promise you won't quit?"
Bloody brilliant! Loved it :)
Funny premise, good production quality. Great job.
2:50: She hustled you. SHE HUSTLED YOU GOOD!
This was f***ing hillarous. One of the funniest scetches i have seen here on youtube xD
That was AWESOME!
I liked this. It's a really funny idea. Nicely put together sketch
Now this is flippin BRILLIANT!!!
Are there more like this?
That was absolutely brilliant
This was awesome!!!
Nice sketch, really good on all facets. I really liked the performances and the idea behind this one.
Golden Phung xxx com
This was hilarious😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks!
Love the progression, great stuff!
That's brilliant 😄
Thanks! The writer did an amazing job with the script and the actors really nailed it!
Really great stuff, LOVED IT
Thanks! 👍
Very funny ! I had a boss who fired me several times, only to let his secretary call me a few days later & politely ask why I would no longer show up. I asked to be put thru to my (former ?) boss, who barked at me that he didn’t mean it & I should come back. Each time I negotiated a raise, only to result in the HR people ringing me why I always got a raise out of sync with rest of the gang. On and on it went, until I (!) resigned for a better job - and he gave me glowing references ever after, which finally moved me into two MD / CEO positions. Have to say I loved the game, but isn’t it a strange world ? Now I am retired early, live on a farm with my lovely wife, and life couldn’t be better. I don’t miss the rat race for a single day !
Is this really a true story?! If so, that's amazing!!!
Your hilarious sketch reminded me of one of my favourite jokes. It goes like this:
Reaching the end of a job interview, the manager asks a young engineer fresh out of college,
"And what starting salary are you looking for?"
The engineer replies,
"In the region of £125,000 a year, all depending on the benefits package, of course."
The manager says,
"I see. Well, what would you say to a package of 6 weeks paid holiday, full medical and dental benefits, a pension fund to 50% of your salary with an early retirement bonus available at age 50, plus a brand new company car leased to you every two years, say, a Mercedes sports convertible?"
The engineer sits up straight and gasps,
"Wow! Are you kidding?"
The interviewer replies,
"Of course, but you started it."
Brilliant!
Clever !
+justmadeit2 Thanks!
+Paul Del Vecchio They are both pretty ladies too, but id like to marry the woman in the blue top ! :)
I went for a job and the guy said something about how they couldn't guarantee the number of hours per week and I said "That's OK, I don't like working very much anyway". I still got the job.
Excellent!
one of the best videos i have seen in a long time....LMMFAO
This is like George Costanza interviewing with Steinbrenner. Do the OPPOSITE !!
When you just have to get the last word in a conversation
... excellent wit ... thoroughly enjoyed ...
Thanks! Yeah, the script is really good on this. The writer is really creative and wrote something very funny!
iiii lloved it !!!
Hah! That was great :P
Thanks!
Awesome
Paul Del Vecchio rr
LOL, this reminds me of one of those old Bugs Bunny / Daffy Duck / Elmer Fudd cartoons (I'm hunting' wabbits).😂
Yeah, that's awesome: the truth in a sketch. Confidence rules 😅
Indeed
This is pure genius 👏
The tables can always be turned so watch out.
That was brilliant
Ok I'll admit, that was VERY well played!
Not sure how I got here but this skit was better then 95% of the B.S. that is on TV now so I feel pretty happy about showing up here.
Wow, thanks Steve! This one was all the writer and actors... I really just let them do their thing with very little direction. It was all them. The writer especially... this script was sooo good in my opinion.
watching after 10 years later :d omg what the heck is youtube trying to say me :D
What a clever person
This was amazing!
Love the sketch!
SO BANTEROUSE!!!!!!!!!
I've always imagined this is how people at HR department are "working".
HR....the bane on American business.
Replace "imagined" by "thought" ?
@@rds990 You're mistaken about the purpose of HR. It's to protect the business from lawsuits. HR works FOR the company.
@@Raison_d-etre Yeah you are right. I only have 45 consecutive years employed in industry with a Fortune 250 company. What could I possibly know about HR or business in general. Yeah, you're right.
@@rds990 lol what's fortune 250
Verry funny! We admire others who strive to make quality original sketch comedy and short films! keep up the awesome work, guys!
That was so much fun, enjoyed a LOT. deserved 3.45 min of my life.
feels so much like Monthy Pithon's sketch on the guy going and paying for an argument (can't recall the exact name). But please take it in a nice way. Very well done and funny!
No it's not.
Yes it is
Oh this is futile.
No, it's not futile! So there!
Is this a five minute argument or the full half hour?
The only problem I have with this is that how could somebody hire their own boss?
Isn't that what happens when you choose to work under someone?
I think the only thing you can apply for is a junior hr which is gonna probably be an assistant and not fire people so yeah that's bugging me aswell although I don't have experience
If she is HR she could higher the boss.
enrolling in the army
Well, gee...I dunno, Blue Kid.
Would you consider the concept of citizens electing individuals to head the executive branch of our government a form of “we, the people” hiring their own boss?
Yes, I’ll agree it’s kind of a rough analogy, but I’m willing to provide other examples to help clarify my question to you if you’d like. Just ask.
I love the honesty 🤣
Funny!!! Keep up the great work!!! Love the videos.
Priceless!!... or $200/hr, whichever comes first.
What does it mean actually? And I don't know why 200$/hr is equal to 12 Cent per 10 sec.
I'm pretty sure this is how most people in my area get jobs, and the personnel manager just forgets to fire them.
This was so brilliant! Thanks!
2:42 Even if the applicant hadn't been hired on as Jr. VP, she could have sued for wrongful termination.😆
Haha good point. She wins no matter which way you look at it. lol thanks for watching
Jill Butterfield is such an amazing actress in this short. Weird that she never did anything else.
Like troll youtube vids?
"Reverse Psychology Theater".
Tomorrow's episode: Airline INsecurity checkpoint
Very Creative acted well by 2 lovely women, it was GREAT.
Thanks! Yes, they are very talented!
That's likely why people have trouble believing they're acting
@@bretthoffman2128 Haha the amount of people who think this is somehow real is astonishing. But I guess it's good on the actors for being so good! lol
Best interview ever lol😂
That used to be a punchline to a joke. Your over qualified" That's okay, I"m an under achiver.
It's a good punchline! :)
you're
@@bethsherdell2413 Yessss! Thank you, Beth!
ah, 47 employers disliked this video
They were from HR.
this is like a perfect, textbook example of playing the game of the scene
Just great! Congrats.
Hehe, this is so elementary school humor. Childish funny.
Sounds like the real life scenario of Tweetie Twump
LOL...great work! Too funny
I was waiting for this kind of end. I am still laughing.
Glad we could make you laugh!
