Bristol Channel Sea Fishing- Spectacular Weather Session At A Unique Place

- Faced with one of the biggest tides of the year and a few free hours to head out on to the craggy coast of the Bristol Channel, I decided to edge my bets on an old haunt of yesteryear.
It was a joy to experience what were once familiar surroundings again and to simply let myself become immersed in the glorious sunshine.
In stark contrast, the second part of the video shows how conditions can change and in a matter of just a few days, the temperature had plummeted and the wind had swung round to a chilly northerly direction.
That feeling of being by the sea, regardless of the conditions on the day, is why we do what we do. It really does make you appreciate the abundance of nature that can be found here and it's so good for both body and mind.
Couldn't agree more with your closing statement, Jansen. Coarse anglers seem more switched on to the concept of a fishing session being a whole experience rather than just catching fish, but we sea anglers do seem to be catching up slowly. Another great video, please keep them coming as they're very enjoyable indeed! 👍
Thank you Simon. Angling has always been an appreciation of everything, in my mind, not just the catching🙂🎣
I'm loving your channel mate. Love the way you educate and communicate. I fished that mark years ago with acey of Veales. Cool stuff. 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Thanks HC!🙂🎣
Tranquility at its best for me, just being out by the water and simply watching the rod tip
That’s what it’s all about🙂🎣
Lovely video Jansen.
Thank you!🙂🎣
Distance very enjoyable to watch thank you so much for sharing I really enjoyed watching other people around the world fish. Sounds crazy I know but I do enjoy it. Take care and a big hello from your subscriber in Australia 🇦🇺 Kellie
Great to hear that someone on the other side of the world is looking in, many thanks for your kind words and stay safe, Kellie🙂🎣
One videoist said he looked forward to a few blanks to make him enjoy catching when he did. Good to see you just enjoy being out there hopefully not on your phone. Well done video . Tight lines.
Enjoying the videos Jansen. Keep up the good work.

Many thanks Dan🙂🎣
Definitely keep them coming !!
Sure thing, Kevin🙂🎣
Love your enthusiasm for the fishing! We don’t have the variety of venues ye have in England but you’re right. Some times you should just appreciate the surroundings and enjoy the moment.🎣
Absolutely, Pat. We get so focused on where we’re going, we can forget to enjoy the journey.....We are blessed with a beautiful coastline here☺️🎣
@@thegamblingangler 👍 getting some great tips... Tight Lines 🎣
Fishing the suffolk / Essex is so different to the Bristol channel, so good to watch different parts of the country , brilliant as always jansen ,
For long distance casting on clean ground to catch anything what would be your rig of choice , would be great for any advice ty Jansen 👍👍
Thanks Julian. I’d probably go for a two hook clipped down rig with size #2 Aberdeen hooks. That will catch most things that swim🙂🎣
@@thegamblingangler ty Jansen i will make a few up with kamassen b940s , ty for taking the time out to advise , it means alot 👍👍
Great video as always. Beautiful scenery. Looks like you had a nice chilled out session. Enjoying your videos Jansen.👍

I absolutely love your videos mate your content is always raising the bar fantastic thanks the only thing is I'd like to see you baiting up and see your presentation as that's what I struggle with and I'm sure it will help me seeing what you can do
Many thanks Gavin!🙂🎣 I’ll see what I can do for you next time around.
Another great Video Jansen mate 😎
Cheers Si🙂🎣
Another great session mate you fish some brill marks
Thank you, Peter🙂🎣
Nice vid! I fished that mark today and lost a nice bass when it went into the rocks and the swivel broke! Next time... :-)
Ray, such good eating. That would've been on my plate that evening, with burnt butter, lemon, capers and parsley. 😉
Tried it once, wasn’t keen....
but you’re making it sound good!😄🎣
Nice vid.... A long time since I've been there too. Used to fish the other side very regularly
Thanks Nev, it’s a beautiful place to fish🙂🎣

Thank you Ian, it was peaceful in more ways than one!😊👍🏼
Hi i am a new subsciber to your channel. Catching up on your earlier videos. Thank you.
Thanks for the sub!😊🎣
Christ that fishing is dire mate.
Not every trip will be a red letter day🙃🎣
you should apply for a news presenter job mate, your voice is definitely suitable for it
Not sure about the ‘news’ bit, but many thanks!🙂
Hello mate, cracking video as always, could you possibly tell me this mark or is it one to be unsaid? Tight lines!
Glad you enjoyed the video Rhys🙂🎣
Great videos bud is it a go pro your using?
Sure is. Thanks Keith🙂🎣
Very hard, May we grow together in this channel
great again. 2 questions. would a couple of strong 3 piece tt type conti rods be ok to fish up there and what are the boots your using. oh almost forgot, when are veals getting the channel tripods in. best fishing vids on you tube mate.
Thanks Ade🙂 Yes- three piece continental rods would be fine at most venues, provided they’re capable of casting six ounces.
The boots are Grubs Snowline with Supatrack studs. Tripods- soon!😊🎣
Jansen, can I ask you what main line you use on your multiplier reel in this video for rays etc. Reel looks like a blue Penn mag 525 . 20/30lb?
Kevin- my line of choice for fishing in the upper Bristol Channel is Varivas Yellow Sport in 20lb breaking strain🙂
Just found this vid.its paused at mo.what is the name of the band at start.please tell me
Sorry Ollie, can’t help with that🎣
Is that a Diawa Bass Rod?
Yes Michael, Daiwa Tournament Bass🙂
Another great video, what beach caster are you using 🤔?🎣🎣🎣
Thanks Ian. It is an Anyfish Anywhere Grand Prix🙂🎣
Great watch , I can relate to visiting old fishing marks. Since the passed/current lock downs have fished closer to home here in Pembrokeshire and the fishing has not disappointed, you certainly forget what's on you doorstep. Once again entertaining trip. Tight lines
It certainly was good to try an old mark again, shame about the fishing, but the weather saved the day😎🎣Thanks👍🏼
Really enjoyed this. Such a smooth set of imagery and sounds and much closer to how I feel when fishing.
Love some of the camera angles too!
Might be time for me to dust down my sea gear and give it a go 👍
Thanks so much for the kind words, appreciate the feedback. Get those rods out!🎣😊
Just found your channel & brilliant and subscribed and liked!
Many thanks😊🎣
You never say the location of the places you are fishing, not a criticism just an observation
The saying goes that ‘some things are best unsaid’🙂🎣
@@thegamblingangler it’s just that I hope to be moving to the West Country some time soon,I really enjoy your videos ,please keep them coming
@@andrewhaden7822 Drop me a message when you get here and I’ll try and send you in the right direction.
