Oh, this is wonderful. What a musician and a player! I've seen his Julian at 8 in the mid 90s...good for him...and good for us to know there will be many more years of great music from him.
The future belongs to him. His works with Gary Burton (Generations, Next Generation and Common Ground) are just brilliant and not only add a new generation ;-) but also a new puristic and colourful guitar style to Gary's music. His solo works are something new in the guitar world and of a true individual taste and style. The acoustic aspect of Julian's asthetics is what touches me most. And this is not only a result of the sweet voice of his Manzer archtop. Hope he'll stick to this purity.
@solostrad Indeed, I couldn't agree more. I was able to meet him a year ago. Some time after the show I shook his hand and had a talk with him. He is the kindest man ever, and indeed. There's such a calm positive energy about him that you can't help but feel good yourself. It's really amazing. And, of course, his show was amazing!
i saw him,hes good...but im not impressed by musicians who come from affluent families who make there kids start playing an instrument at 5!he just dosent do IT for me.
Ben Monder can eat Lage for lunch as can John Abercrombie, Metheny, Frisell, Malone, etc. This guy doesn't have an original concept. He sounds like a Metheny "clone."

Very mature and well grounded. Very rare!
Amazing coincidence. That Ray Charles tune was my first also.
Effervescent.
He's a brilliant guitarist. Up there with Lenny Breau and Django, IMHO..
@bluemonk82 why are you here?
You can't stand it that I'm right. That's what is funny.
i wonder why he always looks so upset? i wish he would cheer up..
C'mon Emarcy Records. Get yer shit together. We'd link this EPK to the world if you gave us a better video quality.
gtfo if it's not your taste. not everyone loves him, but everyone should know that he's a musical wonder
wrong to the point of hilarious
I can tell you don't know how to talk t anyone. What gave it away? Hmmm....probably the unnecessary cuss words and overall hostile attitude.

yawn...
