A great tip to AVOID yellow pillows all together, PILLOW ZIP COVERS!!! They’re CHEAP! I put two on each pillow followed by my pillow cases. I change my sheets regularly and every month or so I take off one zip cover and wash it, and maybe every 4-6 months, I wash both zip covers. I’ve never had a yellow pillow in my life!! Also, if you go to sleep with wet hair, just throw a towel on top of your pillow!! This will also avoid staining. Hope this helps!

Brittany, I have to admit, I passed over your videos a few times at first because I thought, "What could this barbie doll possibly know about cleaning/organizing?" But you got me with your small closet organizing videos and now I'm a subscriber. I love your videos, I love your sweet, down to earth disposition, your tips are useful, practical and you always show at least one thing that is a real problem for me and I implement all of your suggestions. Your "Bye" at the end of every video is so charming and so UN-PHONY. (Thank you for not blowing kisses at the end of your video like EVERY OTHER UA-camR! Haha,) Thank you for taking the time to create such great content. And, now, the only thing I wonder is, "How can this amazing, smart and creative lady be so beautiful on the outside AND beautiful on the inside!" You're awesome.

ALL of these tips were so great! I totally have problems folding fitted sheets and seeing yellow pillows. And that’s such and interesting fact about why they are yellow too! And that’s so smart to have bristle brushes instead of sponges! My roommate and I were just talking about the cleanliness of our sponges since it’s really cold and wet where we live so our sponges never dry out properly and stay moist so we have to change our sponges frequently but I find that standing the sponge up rather then having it lay flat helps for it to dry a little better. Also that beauty blender tip was really useful too since I’m sure my beauty blender is going to look like that at some point. I loved that you were able to use basically dawn dish soap and vinegar to clean everything. I just bought a huge container of vinegar for cleaning and disinfecting purposes so this works out great for me! Love these videos! And omg your dog with the sheet was so cute. At first when I saw the sheet moving out the door I thought it was cause Carter was crawling around under it but then you showed he close up and I could see that it was Bordeaux. 😂

My favorite way to clean my beauty blenders is to fill a large bowl with warm water. Saturate the sponges in water and pour castle soap directly onto the stains. Then, sprinkle in baking soda (it makes a world of difference). I squeeze the sponges in the soapy water until the water is super dirty. I discard the water and refill the bowl 2-3 more times and repeat the steps until the water is clear and the stains are gone. I think it saves more water than letting it run because you're washing all the sponges at once. A bar soap also works great with this method. Great video

I have been folding fitted sheets forever it seems. When I was young and we went to a laundromat I would get people asking me to fold their fitted sheets for them. I even got paid sometimes to show them how I did it since it took me the same amount of time to fold a fitted sheet as a top sheet. I alway thought it was easy.

A lot of these I hadn't seen before! The california roll method and the way you fold the sheet were new to me. I have a pro-tip for soaking the pillows. Since a lot of yellowing is from the skin's oils working into the fabric, do the soak with oxyclean and ammonia. The oxyclean is already good at whitening dinge, but the ammonia will cut through anything oil-based, and also help boosted the effectiveness of the oxygen-based bleach in the oxyclean. You can put 1-1.5 cups in the soak and then again in the wash (just never mix with chlorine bleach). It will not only remove grease and make your yellow clothes whiter, it will make the fabric feel a lot cleaner and softer too. Plus it is super cheap, can be used to dab away small oil stains on fabrics like silk, and can even take care of heavy oils like engine grease on mechanic's clothes!

I learn so many wonderful tips and hacks from you, but I have to be honest and tell you I was a little horrified watching you clean your makeup brushes. It seemed so rough brushing them out with a comb. Also soaking them, even periodically, would eventually destroy the glue that holds the bristles in the ferrule. I think my brushes have lasted me as long as they have by using a gentler method. Lol but I openly admit i’m a little OCD when it comes to my makeup and brushes. Oh and where did you get the wooden handled dish brush and bowl. Very cute!! 😊😍

Hi Brittany, your tip about cleaning sponges is good. I have been cleaning it like that for a while. However, I noticed that when I rub my sponge across the bar soap like that, it tends to get large cracks in it quickly. I just use equate sleep time bath to clean it and it works well and my sponges last longer so I would recommend doing that if you want them to last you longer.

These tips were SO helpful! The makeup brushes was a big problem of mine. I kept cleaning my brushes and they always had an oily residue, so thank you! I'm proud that I knew the coffee cleaning tip, duvet cover tip and pillow/comforter yellowing cleaning tip. My question is how do you remove mineral/yellow build-up from hard water on your shower and bath tub walls? I use baking soda, Dr. Bronner's castile soap, and a brush or rough cloth and keep rubbing and rubbing but it does not come off. I've tried vinegar too on it's own, but since it cannot soak on a wall by covering with a cloth, I'm not sure how to clean this.

I love the sponge and makeup brush cleaning hack! I saw the duvet cover trick on QVC and thought that was brilliant!! My cleaning challenge is getting my laminate wood floors to look clean. I can never seem to get that bright clean look even though they're a matte finish. I don't like using much of anything in my house that has any chemicals. And it's more of the mop style that has me frustrated. I've tried swiffers, spin mops etc, and still seems to leave a dull look to them.

I was trying different methods to clean my beauty sponges, and the best thing out there is the solid beauty blender cleanser. It’s completely different from soap, especially when you’re using whatever is around. Just as soap can leave behind a film, it will gather in the sponge and always leave behind a trace.

@@zachariahkovac2048 As with most things at Costco, the store brand from other stores costs less per unit than the name brands at Costco.
I have found Aldi to have the best everyday price for white vinegar (and baking soda).

How to thoroughly deep clean baby gear! Like high chair, car seat, large electronic toys, stroller, bags etc! I usually take everything off (as much as I can) and clean it that way but the high chair is the one thing that gets the nastiest and mine doesn't have removable pieces!
Love your videos! You make me feel not so crazy for enjoying organization! Lol
Oh and here's a tip: not sure if you do this but I'm Puerto Rico we live with open windows and the screens get so gnarly! One day take your window screens off, lay flat, hose them down, apply soap and scrub with a broom. You'll be surprised lol! Also I use a broom to scrub the tub, life saver for my back!

Love your videos! I recently moved into a new home, and there are some messes that I'm looking for an easier way to clean! If you have a hack for any or all of these, it would be awesome! One is cleaning caked on dust off of blinds. It's been there so long the traditional wiping methods I've found aren't cutting it. Most of them are a faux wood, but several are the older aluminum type. Another is built up grease on cabinets (like above/around the stove). And finally, the doors in our master bath are so caked in what I assume is a mix of hairspray and dust, that it's taking me tons of time just to clean a little portion at a time.
