Great video! I saw you did something that I was advised by my Grandma years ago not to do. She always said to wash and dry dish towels separately from bath towels. The reason being is that your hair gets all over the bath towels and then it gets on your dish towels. She was right because I had noticed I had hair on my dish towels and that’s when she told me about it. And nobody wants their hair on anything in the kitchen. Just something to consider.

Great tips , just a little tip of mine , if you have cotten tea towels and you wash them on a cool wash ,it isn't always enough to get out bacteria so I always iron them on a high heat it helps to steralise them .

I'm loving the hidden nasty things videos! People don't think about all of the places we don't clean... because we don't clean them! The first time I cleaned my phone I was super grossed out. I like to keep alcohol wipes handy for little things like that!

Love this! I bought a silicone sponge and it is a life saver. I call it my sea anemone, because that’s honestly what it looks like! It is also dishwasher safe. My biggest organization challenges are dealing with cords and cables! My arch nemesis!! They are EVERYWHERE and such an eye sore.

There are toilet brushes made from rubber or silicone (we have one). It's super easy to clean 👍 less work than switching out the disposable ones every time. Plus.. you produce less waste 🙌 I highly recommend them!

      How do you clean it?

    • @movingoutyoung
      @movingoutyoung 6 років тому +4

Brittany Renee Basically just by cleaning the toilet. That way, you have a bunch of cleaning solution on your brush anyways that you can just hold under the water afterwards while flushing the toilet. Super easy. In addition I do like to spay it with some disinfection spray.

When I was younger my class did an experiment on things that killed bacteria and we used mouthwash, alcohol, vinegar, etc to see what killed the bacteria the best. We put them in a peetree dish and everything and the mouthwash was the only thing that DIDN'T kill the bacteria, it actually made it grow so im not totally convinced that mouthwash is a great thing to use to kill bacteria. Anyway, great ideas and I LOVE your channel!!

Hey girl! You can also buy those small alcohol wipes that are used at the hospital from the dollar store. They usually sell them in packs of one hundred. I love having them handy to clean my phone! And also one other thing I find gets dirty if not cleaned often are window tracks!

    • @LiliandH

To kill some certain viruses and bacteria you need to let the solution sit for a few minutes before it kills them, so also look out for this, especially with the Corona virus outbreak right now.

Love your tips! For me the attic (2 seperate rooms) is hard to organize. We've got 2 little boys with a lot of bulky toys (trains and rails for example) in boxes at the attic. What shall I keep of their childhood (toys and clothes) or not? How to organize the toys? What shall I keep of my own stuff when I was little (my parents gave it to me) and of the pictures, old letters and books? I hope you'll make a video about this! Thanks! 😘 Monique.

I absolutely LOVE your videos! My pain point is our kitchen junk drawer. 5 seconds after we organize it its messy again. Also, we cannot agree on where the mail pile goes. I like to place it at the edge of the kitchen counter but my husband doesn't want the mail in the kitchen. We literally take the same pile of paperwork and move it back and forth from the kitchen to the dining table. Drives me crazy!!!

Using rubbing alcohol to clean touch screens too often can damage the protective anti-grease coating on the screen. The coating actually helps keeping the phone clean(er). Window cleaner can also do damage. The best option is to use a cleaning solution for phones, or dilute the alcohol a lot. But great video!!

I have a small kitchen with little cabinet space and NO pantry!! We have most of our “pantry” items shoved into one section of the cabinets and we have little room for our dishes. It’s such a vicious cycle of where to store things. I’m similar to you- I want a clean nothing on the counter area. I would LOVE some tips on how I could utilize the little space we have.

For your toothbrush, use dazzlepro toothbrushes, it comes with its own UV sanitizing charger base. That way your toothbrush is always sanitized after each use and protected from your bathroom uses. It has 4 different modes to clean, whitening, sooth and massage your teeth/gums. Have had mine about 3 months and it’s great and the timer on it help you to meet the standard brushing time.

I have already taken the tip of switching from a sponge to a brush from a previous video! Best Tip ever! I actually have 2 sponges on my sink! A little round one similar to your wooden one & a baby bottle one (for deep dishes that my small one can’t reach into). Well I have 3 if you count my 2nd baby bottle sponge specifically for baby bottle lol... & Ugh! Right now I’m having trouble with paper work! 😩😩😩

Your ideas are perfect for me and inspiring. I love your ideas for organizing, cleaning, and raising a happy baby! VIDEO IDEA: It would be fabulous if you would share your ideas for organizing paper clutter. I have a filing system in place, but I can't seem to keep it up. I currently have stacks of papers that include: mail I haven't looked at, coupons, circulars, stuff I need to do, papers I should file, receipts to enter into my Quicken check register, correspondence (like announcements, invites, and thank you notes), project ideas, and recipes. Thanks so much. ---Jennifer

@vasseurbeauty if you have toilet lids, I HIGHLY suggest you put that down on toilet seat before flushing that way it what little If any toilet water splashes out of toilet and past the lid won't go up in places above toilet seat. My husband told me to do that to keep the water what we don't see from splashing around and creating a very nasty germy mess!

Amazing tips! I would say my biggest issue is storage. I'm planning to buy about 6 or 7 totes for storing seasonal items, clothing, and items I want to keep for sentimental purposes but don't want to display. We're going to be moving soon and I want to be able to just pick up my storage system and go without having to pack everything into boxes. I'll still have to pack our everyday dishes, decorations, etc. so trying to set up an easy system for the rest.

Brittany, have you tried the vinegar gel from Mrs. Myers? Makes sink shine.

My guest bedroom closet! It's become a catch-all for things I don't wear regularly, and I can't figure out how to even begin to organize it. It has so many different things in there at this point (old workout equiptment above, on shelves, for example). I've tried utilizing a few organization things, like those hanging shelves, and none of them have helped so far!

My whole house needs organising! We've just moved and everything is everywhere. It's difficult to get things organised when we both work full time
Granted, it's no way as bad as when we first moved in but tips for getting the house organised after a move would be great

The 70% isopropyl alcohol you use do you mix it with anything or is it straight? By the way I love you and carter! I love to see your hacks and love more naturally! Thank you for posting your content
