Since I became vegan I find meat repulsive.
Same here. It just looks so weird to want to eat it. Makes it look like a really crazy grim world
I feel the same. I was never a fan. As the child of a terrible cook I had no reason to be interested in what I least looked forward to. I've never eaten a steak, a McDonald's hamburger, sausages... all of it is just awful. I was a vegetarian from 12 so I could opt out of my mother's food
Same here. I can't look at raw meat without feeling ill. Also, the smell of raw meat is sickening, so I never go through the meat aisle at the supermarket as it is so disgusting.
Same ❤
Yep, same. No idea how I ever ate meat, and how people still do. Makes zero sense.
Vegan 2 years now 🌱 I think the thing I struggle with the most is how to get people I care about to understand the benefits of eating plant-based. It hurts to see people who say they care about animals & care about their own health doing the worst thing they could do for both. I’m in Tennessee in the U.S. so the vast majority of the population here doesn’t even believe anthropogenic climate change is real so pointing out that they’re ruining life on earth for their grandchildren only registers as hippy nonsense to them. Anytime I try to discuss animal welfare I get shut down because everyone likes being ignorant about it.
Must be tough. Unfortunately the only thing you can do is show them you're still here, despite not eating animal products.
Its maddening Nicole. And l have to listen to certain people talking about their 'ailments' which l know would be greatly (if not entirely) relieved on a PBD!!
Oh dear, stay Strong❣️💚
@@lynngreene1993 So much this, all the stories about arthritis and ulcerative colitis, yet they won't even try to not eat someone for a week!
Yes! I feel like an alien trying to share with people that plant based is healthier for them.
Dr Klaper’s responses were so genuine. He really did enjoy the interview. His years of experience has provided him with important wisdom. His response to the issue of criticisms about its just ignorance due to mis information but to be compassionate with them and be an example is the mature response. I can see why he’d like to sit down with Earthling Ed because I think that’s how Earthing Ed handles his discussions/debates.
I used to be a heavy meat eater. So, when I first went vegan, I supplemented my diet with creatine, carnosine, and tiny doses of beta alanine. Over the course of a few months, I weaned off the supplements, and I avoided "meat withdrawal." Vegan since 2002 and loving every minute of it.
Awesome!
we love to hear this 👏
I listened to the entire interview and found it delightful. This rapid fire question and answer rounds was fun and informative. Thank you both.
thanks for your support ❤
I always use water in my smoothies. It keeps the calories down but allows the fresh flavors of the fruit and veggies to shine.
I also
*Nature always finds a way to reset itself & get back to its original format. Meat or animal product isn't necessary. 4yrs* 🌱
Except if you were in the wilderness without agriculture which is how it's been for over 99% of humanity's existence you'd mostly eat meat 😂 so delusional
@@nauticalnovice9244 At presnt only 4% of mammal biomass is made up of wild animals, so this argument is totally invalid. If every human was to hunt animals for food, there would be none left in a matter of days. This is why we are bulldozing the amazon to graze cattle and grow feed.
@@nauticalnovice9244meat has always been a necessity. This is why meat eaters outlive vegans by a large margin.
@@GarudaLegends you say that as if I deny it
@@GarudaLegends I’m interested in your statement as everything I’ve studied for years stated the opposite. Only seen this sort of remark based on belief and not evidence. Can you direct me to the source of your information? I like to know the evidence based truth to base my decisions on. Thanks
Dr Kapler is a legend 🎉❤
Joe Best is very enjoyable as an interviewer. More with him please. I really enjoyed this Q&A with Dr Klapper and will be forwarding it to a few friends who may be open to WFPB.
thanks so much 🩷
"Best thing I can do is be a good example, and love them..."❤
Yep, as Jesus said :)
"Speak your truth quietly and be a good example" a very compassionate way to phrase this. (Better than Alice's "fists of death" from Dilbert.)
Got to love Dr. Klaper!
What a lovely interview with one of my favourites, Dr. Klaper. He is gold.
Klaper is CONSISTENTLY great. Unique takes and really insightful. I've been vegan long enough to know all the things people say, but I always listen when Klaper presents.
I agree with Doctor Klaper, this was the best vegan theme interview that I have ever listened to. Great questions and answers!
Love the rapid fire format- 😊
Loved the rapid Q&As!! Thank you Joe and Dr. Klaper! Please keep them coming! 🙏💚🌱
11 year vegan in June, feeling amazing.
I loved this type of interview style. Short, sharp and to the point. 💚
That was a feel-good interview that starts off my day right. Being vegan just keeps on becoming more and more logical. I used to think there were just three reasons--the environment, health, and animal welfare--but every day a new aspect arrises. Environmental reasons include climate change, water usage, chemical and biological pollution. Health reasons include not just your personal health but also the avoidance of a new pandemic which will likely arise from industrial animal farming. Oh, I forgot reason number four: being vegan saves you money!
Something I've recently gotten into is meal planning. I make a 5 gallon soup once every 10 days or so, put them into glass containers, freeze most of it.
Beans are something I've always had trouble with in the kitchen. I hate buying canned beans, and I'm so busy that I usually just end up quickly preparing a dish with whatever is immediately on hand (and it's usually pretty boring). Beans take at least an overnight soak, or 24 hours ideally. With the meal planning method though, I only have to plan ahead for one day, for one large meal. And now all of my meals are awesome, loaded with 6 varieties of beans and all the other good stuff. Highly recommended strategy
If you don't already have one, get an instantpot. No soaking required and the beans come out just right.
One of my favorite dishes is "Matt's Black Bean Sofrito's" from Jane Esselstyn's Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease Cookbook. No soaking of the beans required. Of course you cook them for about 2 hours, lol
No soaking required. Bring to a boil. Pour off water so you have cleaned beans. Replace water and just cook.
The Amazon Rainforest is being cut down so the land can be used for 2 purposes: grazing for beef cattle and growing fodder for these cattle. Minimize or stop the eating of beef.
also , land is cleared everywhere to grow plant crops
@@sassymate5684 Yes to feed the 80 billion land animals and 1,42 trillion marine animals we slaughter each year to sate our stomachs. We can feed an additional 4 billion people if everyone just ate plants (though i'd rather have we re-wild and let nature have some space versus putting an additional billion people on this earth..).
Thank you so much for this great Interview !
How lucky are we to have Dr Klaper in our wonderful vegan community, he is truly a treasure, explains everything so well and his optimism for veganism is infectious !
Many thanks to the host too for his very pertinent questions too
thank you for watching ❤
That was very nice. 😊. Well considered questions and pleasing answers.
The only thing is we need to stop advertising every time you turn the TV on some fast food restaurant or a restaurant that serves an entrée of beef or chicken makes me sick although in America more vegan restaurants open than anytime in history and meat restaurants 20% closed
I appreciate Dr Klaper's honesty about his meat cravings. I too have cravings about animal products as I was brought up in Italy eating lots of them, but I surround myself with delicious whole plant foods and I might overeat them sometimes (the low-cal ones) but I can't see myself ever eating animal foods again, I could not eat my animal friends.
Thanks for being so honest 👏
Thank you for sharing. I have met many lifelong vegetarians. They have never eaten "meat"
in their life, they had no addiction to it, no overstimulation from it. The only humans who
CRAVE eating corpses are those humans who are indoctrinated into it, habitually addicted
to carnism, since 1 year old. It has to be TAUGHT and the body got USED TO EATING IT.
Eating animals is a selfish habit that I grew up participating in. Not any more after 30+ years
of whole food veganism. I started out for health and quickly then did it for the animals.
So wonderful to hear this and I will pass it along wherever I can. Thank you!!
I feel best when I eat nothing or very little for breakfast, I feel good eating the most later in the day, generally I eat when I'm hungry and I've tried all kinds of regimens before
listen to your body, there's no substitute for that 🙏
Well done for sure!
Thank you, Dr Klaper - one of my favourite doctors ! just common sense. 💯👌💟
Yay for Dr. Klaper. He and Dr. Joel Kahn, whom he mentioned, are two of my very favorite plant based doctors.
Such a wonderful interview with two kind men❣️
Love the Doc. Keep it going!
Loved this you guys need to do it again!!!!
Great great interview

Great interview! Thank you!
many thanks for this very informative and amazing interview. many thanks doctor vegan interviewed by Fooud revolution's docuseries
Great video ❤
Love Dr Klaper 🥰
Soy milk>oat milk
Only plant based milk with great outcome data plus has plenty of protein, isoflavones and potassium.
He's still alive. Good for him.
Brilliant man!!
Me too i adore Ed he so sweet and gentle but determined. ❤
Super!
Great interview. Upbeat attitudes help the learning. I realized I wasn’t getting much fat ( I’m plant based) so tried the half cup of chia in smoothie - gained 5 pounds in about 3 weeks So sounds good but doesn’t work for me
Interesting fact , vegan lifestyle, educating yourself to think differently, changes lives in a positive way.
That was the best ,nailed it.
Ye after approx 3 - 4 years off meat and I weirdly craved meat too. I gave in to eating some sandwich beef slices. But not 17 years in, not had the cravings since.
Omnivore here, plenty of vegetable and some meat. 2 meals a day. Fast for 18 hours. Healthy as a fiddle
I went vegan exactly nine months before the Berlin Wall fell.
I ❤ him.
Started the first 15 seconds of this video, now I’m headed out to grill a huge ribeye steak.
Am still going to keep eating Normal, meats and vegetables and rice
I realized I'm not addicted to food (Meat). I'm addicted to flavors.
1/4 of flax seed in a smoothie? dang.
what about raw sugar?
Seeds oil is the one that clogs the arteries
did you watch the full video?
Nope never crave it
Dairy is not the easiest to get rid of lol

Well I was pleasantly surprised that there was a helpful question for us meat eaters. Well done, and some helpful info
Interesting that he seems to argue against the LDL hypothesis at 7:00 ?
Everything you need to know in 10 minutes.
I’ve been vegan 6 years (aged 72) and all my blood tests are perfect.. but I crave meat every day. It’s horrible.
Stay disciplined, stay true, the cravings will go away. Try to include some other wholefoods such hemp seeds, Spirulina and Chlorella in larger amounts to see if it makes a difference; a very few of us have become very dependent on certain amino acids because of prior habituation; will go away anyway if all the other indicators are great... 18 years for me, never looked back, really.
@@BlissBlessHappiness Should it take six years for the cravings to go away? That’s a long time!
Your body is trying to tell you something, especially if those cravings become worse over time. For many people it seems to be the 5-/ 6-year mark at which they realize their bodies are falling apart without those animal products our bodies have evolved to digest.
@@BlissBlessHappiness it’s really upsetting because I absolutely want to be vegan and I studied the eCornell course to help. I have over 15 years medical studies and still study but I also have serious genetic conditions which are very challenging to manage and endure.
Do you eat a lot of beans / lentils? Sometimes when our body is craving something it is a sign that we're thinking about particular nutrients. I know you said your blood tests are perfect so vitamins are probably fine but maybe you're low in sodium or low in savory foods like glutumates. Do you eat a lot of tomatoes? How about seaweed? I hope these ideas help you out and thanks for being vegan.
If meat, dairy and eggs are so bad, how come italians, french and Scandinavians have less health problems than america or other western countries? They consume a lot of dairy and butter, they also eat more meat than other european countries? I am mediterrenean and meat dairy and eggs are an everyday food accompanied wirh plants ofc, how come i have never known someone with clogged arteries? My grandpa and his brothers never had any issues either and they are in their late 90s.
I eat mostly red meat eggs and raw milk for healing myself and thriving on it.
Almost everything good food he name got me into trouble with serious health issues ( interesting, not kidney problems) due to oxalates. I simply cannot STAND another stalk of broccoli.
Ed Winters is a fucking hero !
I am happy for all the plant eaters .... but I will continue to enjoy farm raised grass fed grass finished meat.
People claim the price goes down. While the prices goes up. Seeing cannot run a business with the costs going down.
Give me a ribeye steak, rare, blue cheese sauce, sauté fois gras. Once a month im happy. Fresh fish with salad and vegetables twice a week, and im happy to eat plant based for the rest. Im im 54yrs, worked in hard manual jobs since i was 18yrs.
I climb, run, cycle and hike also.
Recently had my medical check up andi was told my cholesterol, body mass index, heart, blood pressure etc, etc is perfectly fine. ❤
Wait till u hit 60
I've eaten vegan for a couple of years now and I've got a question to the community here: why does all vegans I see look sick compared to people who eat meat?
Kale and broccoli are not human food 😂😂😂
Had curried lamb today.. my meat cravings went away. WF omni. for my win but you do you.
Did he really say eating a burger is destroying the forests? Iron man quickly reversed coarse being a vegan. If it works for you go ahead but im eating meat as my brain functions better.
Lol. So much nonsense. People should be liable for all nonsense they talk.
