I would never have figured this out without your videos. I have the ID-52A, and the openSpot4 Pro; could not figure out the combination of settings between the radio and the openspot. I watched your videos and first try - worked!! Thank you for the great content you create.
Hi Andreas, Great set of videos on the ID-52, been viewing them all. I have an Openspot 2 here and followed your above email to add it to my repeater memory file to use it in DR mode. Problem is if I connect to say a reflector, all is as your video, except I am not heard by stations. I have started a QSO using my IC-7100 without any problem, then changed to the ID-52 the other station cannot hear me. I notice you say that you got your ID-52 direct from Japan as I did and I am wondering if there was some setting you changed when you got it to make it compatible with Europe? I ask as I have tried Icom UK with this problem and they could not help (no knowledge of OS2), but THEY wondered if it was because it was sourced from Japan! Any thoughts, sorry for the LONG message. You do great work. Thank you. A question for you. I programmed my ID-52 exactly like yours. Worked fine. My wife just got licensed and I programmed hers the same way. It will not work. I wrote to OpenSpot and they said the repeater should be set to Simplex and there should be no spaces or characters around the call sign. I made those changes and it worked. However mine still works with the same settings you show here. Any ideas on what the issue might be? 73 and thanks again.

Hi normaly if they can not hear u its becuase you need to select Use repeater, not CqCqCq

Hi which mode are you programming Dstar Fusion or Dmr Thanks ?
Can you change the knobs over so the voloum is the top knob and freq is the bottom???
