I just don't get the hype behind the Xerjoff brand. I don't have the type of taste like yourself or Eugen but I've tried 20 Xerjoff's and the majority I just plain don't like. The few that don't bother me do absolutely nothing for me. The composition and quality seem good even if they're overpriced but it just doesn't scratch any kind of itch. It's like they're trying to be perfect but took the human element out that give it It's character
Eucris EdP is fantastic. Very realistic sandalwood in the base, but different than Sandalwood Cologne, not as sweet. The EdP is almost twice as expensive as the EdT for half the amount of juice, but for me it's worth it. The EdT is so light, it comes as a splash and for me it functions more as an aftershave. What I really enjoy about the Trumper House is that they got an entire body line for a lot of their fragrances, what major houses like Chanel and Dior used to do...
Do you get a Quorum vibe from Eucris? Very mossy. I haven't looked in to the what's and How's of getting a bottle yet but it is a _distinct_ possibility
@@RichMitch I only know current formulation Quorum so that would be a no. To me Quorum smells dated, Eucris is timeless. Eucris also proofs that mossy can be done nowadays, just a question of money and know how.
If you liked Ganymede, try Safran Colognise, by Nishane if you get the chance. They share some qualities. The bottle is exactly the same as the regular Colognise, just the boxes differ. Go figure.
That's strange! I looked in to getting a Nishane sample set but they're not easy to find and I don't think all of their fragrances are in there either 🤦🏻♂️
wearing Symphonium on a bright and sunny spring day makes me ecstatic - i seriously enjoy it. like most houses, i enjoy far fewer than the total number of perfumes offered - and not that i've smelled all of Xerfjoff - i've not; but i absolutely enjoy the half dozen or so that i've purchased. (just thought a little counter-point might be appropriate here.)
I like counterpoint. Well said, I don't wanna live in an echo chamber. That said, I'll always be honest about how I feel about scents from whatever brand or time they're from. I haven't smelled anything I like from xerjoff so far, maybe I'll keep going until I find one I like 👀
YEEEAAHH BAAADAAYYY! ❤️ Absolutely love Ganymede! Fruity floral (osmanthus), mineral, slightly leathery scent. Gorgeous! B683 is also quite nice too. I really like Symphonium, as I love gourmand fragrances, but it's incredibly overpriced for what it is
Been curious about Eucris so I appreciate your insights. Ganymede is in my top 10 definitely (Lil Bow Wow 😆) but you guys are stabbing me in the heart about the Xerjoff. Haven't tried Syphonium tho... not too much into chocolate but I do enjoy Prestige by Primera. Sounds similar. Have to check out Ramsay's video now... 😞
Love Symphonium. I get the Terrys chocolate Orange, and then woody musk. Skin chemistry and scent preference is everything I guess. I wear it at Christmas. It’s not a crowd pleaser. 😂 I knew you would be unimpressed 😂. Sometimes I crave a little fragrance junk food.
Love this channel! Can you recommend any modern fragrances that smell like throwback fragrances? As far as being strong and ricch fragrances? Like Gucci guilty absolute or Tom Ford Italian Cypress? Keep up the good work!

I think you touched upon it here, but to elaborate further on Ganymede; is one of those fragrances which will change, come across differently almost every time you wear it. But what a beguiling beauty it is imo. And glad you got your nose on Eucris! I'll be interested to see what you think about the EdT (it's been over a decade since I've smelled that version)
The Ganymede was a very pleasant surprise! I'm very happy I have tried it, there's a possibility that I'll get a bottle! The Eucris is right up my street, so incredibly mossy. I'm mulling over a bottle of that too! 👀
I'm really interested in the eucris. i already have the sandalwood cologne in my collection and i love it. How do you like the l'occitan edt? i got it a couple of months ago and it has quickly become one of my absolute favourites.
Well that was an interesting set, the old the new and the ugly. Eurcirs has been on my radar for a while, good to know it's got a Quorum vibe, The Sandalwood - Egoiste comparison is an interesting one.D.R. Harris does an interesting sandalwood too. And best for last, Rich goes modern, I should sample Ganemede or the other one B683.
for the record: B683-Extrait by Marc-Antoine Barrois is a gorgeous fruity/woody concoction - the oud and cumin shine through without dumbing-down the natural roundness and quiet sweetness of the fragrance.
Ganymede on me took a few wears and is now a love, now and again it's a must wear. However.....B683 extrait I love even more, wore it yesterday in fact. Samples to be had from Shymimosa and Les Senteurs.
Shite! 😂 I love the note of osmanthus. Comes off like apricot, or peach. At times it has leathery nuances. Best example of osmanthus id say is cuir de chine.
I haven’t smelled many Xerjoff, maybe 1 or 2. They come across as one of those brands that puts way more effort into packaging and branding than their actual perfume. It’s like they smash all the sweet sticky plastic fruity unicorn poopy faux oudy ingredients into their fragrances and try to pass it off as high end. Zero interest. I lump it in with the likes of Montale and Mancera. I need to revisit Ganymede. It’s been a while. Go Duck Go.
That's a good point on the xerjoff, they've definitely blown the budget on the packaging. Their ingredients and creative direction leave a lot to be desired imo.
