Good idea, those brands definitely have beautiful products nobody's talking about. The Dome Glow highlighter in the shade Rose Gold from Hard Candy comes to mind. Lots of lip products and blushes from Neutrogena and Almay has some cream eyeshadows that are GORGEOUS.
I use Almay eyeliner and Almay waterproof mascaras because I have dry watery eyes and Almay is hypoallergenic
Amber Williams Hard Candy has a BEAUTIFUL dupe for the Huda Beauty nudes palette. I’m in love. 💞🎨
For me personally, and obviously my opinion isn’t the most important lol... Almay is kinda bland and Revlon hasn’t been hot the past few years. I wish they were though because I used to love them! Hard Candy can be a bit gimmicky but has some good hidden gems and Neutrogena has a few really good products but dang they’re so high priced! Haha

The Rimmel ScandalEyes eyeliner are my HG. I have used the for years. They stay in my tight line all day!! Yes you have to sharpen them but that means they are creamy and set and stay.

I've had the spice palette a long time. It is awesome. It is just a good palette period -- not just "for the drugstore"... it's flat out good. I saw it at Big Lots recently for like $3.50 or $4.50.. such a hot deal.
The Rommel lasting finish foundation with the red cap was my LIFE. When I found out they were being discontinued I bought up every single one I could find in my shade. I still have two or three left before they’re gone for good and then I don’t know what Ill do 😢

I agree those are awesome, my favorite is the color 105 its the perfect 90's nude color for fair to light skin. The color 107 in the black packaging is a great fall berry red.

They used to have a foundation with a red top that was sooo good; but the discontinued it. The replacement is no good. Their scandaleyes nude liner, I think the lip liners that require sharpening are way better because they don't break; 49 natural is the best!
Yes I loved that foundation! They reformulated and added more shades which was nice but it wasn't as good anymore.

I just repurchased the stay matte powder for the first time in a long time. There are so many powders out there I had forgotten about it, but it’s a powder that keeps my foundation on even in the Florida heat and humidity

Yes! I haven't found something that is cruelty free and a dupe for them. They last in the waterline, are creamy but don't smudge everywhere and come in some excellent colours. And they don't break the bank!

My favorite product from Rimmel is their Stay Matte Primer. It’s like a lotion and it’s a little sticky. I am not THAT oily. But I use a small amount to target the tops of my cheeks, nose, and middle of my forehead. It makes my foundations last soooo much longer and they don’t break up throughout the day. LOVE IT!!!
Might be worth a try to see if it extends the wear of your makeup (I know you’re not really oily either)? 🤷♀️ 😊
Sandra L that's the primer I had worn for my wedding day, 8 years ago! And my makeup stayed ALL DAY LONG through the tears and the cake and everything! I'm a dry skin type, but I still do love that primer. I don't like the foundation, but the primer is a win, in my opinion! 😊

I was literally about to leave the same comment. I have a very oily T zone, with dry under eyes and occasional surface dehydration. The Rimmel Stay Matte Primer is a LIFESAVER and really helps me balance out the oily areas of my face. I even wear it on "no make up" days to keep my face from looking slick after moisturizer. I have been through countless tubes of the stuff and always have backups. IMO it is the best product Rimmel makes.
I'm quite oily, but don't get many breakouts. I like keeping my face fairly natural and just wear concealer under my eyes and wherever I happen to need it. Then I pat this over my forehead and cheeks and it controls my oil all day!
My favorite Rimmel product is Rimmel scandaleyes waterproof kohl kajal liner, this liner will stay on all day, real waterproof/sweatproof (believe this hot flash girl) wish it came in a retractable instead of pencil but still love it in every color.

I feel like Rimmel really is so underrated! The stay matte powder is my favorite powder (and one of the only powders that I will actually use on my dry skin). I use the transparent shade because I am quite fair, and it is perfect for me. I have repurchased it so many times. As we speak, I am needing to repurchase it again because I have been scraping the sides of the one I currently own! LOL.

When I performed in outdoor theatres I used the stay matte foundation. It didn’t budge no matter how much I sweat. I usually did the theatre in the heat of a Texas summer. I don’t use it for anything else if I’m honest.
My favorite is their water proof kohl eyeliner for the water line. I prefer it over all others. It out performs them all even the MUFE at a fraction of the price.

I remember loving a red tube of Rimmel mascara when I was in upper grades in high school. I think it was called Volume Flash. I remember wearing that and a Rimmel eyeshadow trio to my senior prom! The trio isn’t made anymore; it included some pretty light colors, like a sparkly white, lilac, and purple.

I started wearing rimmel stay matte in high school (im 28 now), and i still keep it in my rotation for days i want a full beat. The key is definetly not to use much. Stay matte powder is a good one as well!
They must have reformulated their matt lipsticks because I just bought one and it's freaking phenomenal! So pigmented, creamy, not drying at all, and it smells so yummy and lasts a long time. It's back to the original bullet shape, too. Favorite matt lipstick from the drugstore by far!

YES!! I am so delighted to hear you mention the Spice Edition Magnif'eyes palette. I discovered it recently and I am over the moon about it. The shadows apply so beautifully and the applicator brush is perfectly sized for the crease of my deep set eyes I will have to seek out their Crimson Edition, too. I have some eyeshadow singles that are wonderful, too Rimmel knows what they are doing when it comes to shadows.
I miss the original formula of their Lasting Finish liquid foundation. It was a favorite of mine. The new formula just isn't for me. I will check out their Stay Matte foundation based on your recommendation. I do love their Stay Matte powder, especially in the summertime.

My favorite one is the Rimmel exaggerate waterproof eye definer 212 rich brown. 🥰
I have been cleaning out closets, etc. and found the Emily Edit palette “ the wants” I forget how much I love that palette! On another note I have been using other unused palettes. I always do my eyes last and am finding a lot of fall out from the eye shadows. What a mess! Then I have to reapply my makeup, so I must be doing something wrong!
You can try tapping off your brush before you apply. Some shadows are really soft and kick up a ton of powder (anastasia) and some brushes pick up large amounts of shadow. If you just tap the brush on the edge of the palette it might help get rid of the extra product. Another option would be a tacky eye primer. Hope that helps!
I NEVER wear matte finish foundation because I have dry skin. But I decided to give it a go in your recommendation, and I have to say it might be the only matte foundation that doesn't look flat and melts into the skin without emphasizing dry patches. Obviously I make sure to have a good moisturizer and primer before applying, and a damp sponge is a perfect way to apply it. ❤️❤️ Thank You Emily!
I really like the scandaleyes waterproof gel pencil. I was die hard on Smashbox for my gel pencil and this one from Rimmel is now my go to.
I love Rimmel nail varnish but it’s becoming increasingly hard to find 🙁. Emily, do you remember when you did the GRWM series where you put a mix of one category in a bag (all blush together, all eyeshadow singles together) and did a random pull on each section and put a face together from that, that was so fun, any chance you could do that again sometime? If you see the insta matte pressed translucent powder you must try it. Its beautiful, not to drying but definitely sets the face beautifully. I actually prefer it of the other stay matte. I love these top 5 bottom 5 videos you do💗
Rimmel used to be my go to!! Foundation, powder, they used to have the best liquid liner but I stopped being able to find it years ago. I also enjoy the scandal eyes mascara!

Yes to the lip pencils! The retractable feature was my number one reason, but the colors are so good. I actually have the two you mentioned and between them, it covers most of my lip liner needs!
Great video thank you. My idea for a video is a bit indulgent, especially in these times, but would love to see a full face of great products in beautiful packaging. I know the packaging shouldn’t matter but cosmetics are my treat and if I’m honest one of the things I look for. Thank you for saving me loads of money, I don’t buy duds since I started watching you. I love my stay matte powder but I agree the packaging is no good. I’ve repurchased it more from shattering/breaking than actually using it up, but it’s so cheap I don’t mind. It’s perfect for the summer to avoid looking like a sweaty mess!

I don't know why Rimmel doesn't get more love! Maybe because it's drugstore and "cheap"?? I love their stay matte pressed powder and stay matte translucent loose powder. I want to try the stay matte foundation again... i tried it once and I don't know what it was that I didn't like... could be the thick mousse consistency... idk, but their powders are great!

I’d have to say my tops are the stay matte pressed powder. But my number one is the Provacalips Liquid Lipsticks. I have worn one for nearly 48 hours. And that was eating drinking sweating etc... On a Relay For Life all weekend walk run. I had to use one of those Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover. I’m so impressed with them. Even better that it has the second part of the tube has the moisture for over it. So it feels nice while you’re wearing it.
Agreed. The Lasting Finish Breathable isn’t the same as the original, (no longer available) Lasting Finish foundation, but it’s still not bad. I repurchased it recently & one thing I’ve noticed is that I don’t enjoy a more matte finish foundation the way I used to (even though my skin is oily-combo).
I love the Stay Glossy line. If you want more of a color payoff, try 350 Jewel in the Crown, 340 Captivate Me, 640 All Day Secution. In the Stay Glossy 3D, try 123 Back Row Smooch (pink with blue iridescent) & 113 Popcorn for 2 (peach with green iridescent)-they make for great center lip toppers.
In Australia Flower Beauty is cheaper than Rimmel. The eyeshadow palettes here are $22-25 but I buy them when there is a half off sale.

I enjoy the Stay Matte Foundation. I hope they don’t discontinue it. It’s a dupe for ELDW at a fraction of the price. It’s definitely full coverage and so easy to apply. I also like those lip glosses. I have a few colors and they’re all great.
I have the Rimmel foundation. Bought it off Ebay. I really like it even tho I am NOT a foundation kind of person. I also bought the bronzer. I have not tried it, but it reminds me of the LA Colors bronzer. Same kind of packaging and everything. I also have 1 or 2 palettes from them as well. Again, havent used them yet. I want the Spice one and the berry pink one you had. Those look beautiful.
I like the rimmel stay matte bronzer in Sundance. It does have a very slight shimmer but it's really nice as a topper to add a subtle glow
I just rediscovered the natural bronzer in my collection a few weeks ago!! I ended up hitting pan on it a few days ago. I forgot how much I loved it!!! And it is like 1/3 the price of physicians formula!!

I’ve been using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder for YEARS. The ONLY time it’s not featured in my uploads is when I run out. I’m going to say that I started using it after watching Tanya Burr about 10 years ago. For the price and the performance, you can’t go wrong. 👌

I know you talked about the Spice pallete being a dupe for UD Naked Heat but I also think the Crimson is a good dupe for UD Naked Cherry. 🍒 both of those are great. And I'm not sure what foundation you were referring to at the end BUT if it's the one with the red cap, I miss it too 😕
