no not on this model not in the top dock. But you can charge an older version like the one your asking about by plugging into the usb port on the side of this one in the video. It has a USB port to charge on the side. But you can't set it on top of this one.

Sorry I don't have this ihome anymore. I do believe that the time syncs with your phone. So it should set it automatically.

At about 47 seconds he says "The USB would be the 30 pin connector." This is INACCURATE. USB and 30 pin are apples to oranges. You can buy a cable that is USB to 30 pin. That cable will allow you to charge an iPhone 4. There is also an adapter you can purchase that is a Lightening to 30 pin.
Lol! Yeah, tell us how "nice" the speakers are but don't let us hear them -- instead, bore us while you read out loud the specs and act amazed that the USB is charging your iPad. Kinda lame, especially for a 10-minute vid.
