Thank you Lynn for hosting Patricia, she is the woman who hired me when I was loosing hope in Dubai. My story can be echoed by hundreds of people who work and live in Dubai.
This lady is brilliant 👏 👌. She's dropping nuggets left right centre ....its up to us to pick-up or toss it. Her positive attitude is a breathe of fresh-air. She could even run courses on Customer Services....which is non-existent in Africa. Welldone Lynn for bringing her to the stage... This lady is simply incredible 😍 👏
I run customer service training aimed at improving our customer service here in Kenya using the power of soft skills. We are good at customer service but there is always room for improvement. Business slowed down during Covid but I'm slowly picking it up.
@@WhiskerWander3r Welldone sister 👏 . Africa needs Customer Services etiquette big time. Also, its worth teaching Africans: First-come, first-serve regardless whether the person on the line is black or white. A lot of Africans still have the colonial enslavement and worshipping, I might add..
I am in the diaspora and I resonate with Pat, she's such an inspiration. Proud of her and her works. My take home; be patient, trust the process and don't be chosy when it comes to jobs. Keep up the awesome job Lynn 👏
So inspiring.. if you’re abroad, always remember what you’ve sacrificed just to be there. Not being close to your parents, siblings, relatives and just your comfort zone. I mean.. there has to be an achievement difference and a concrete one as to why you’re not home. Anyone who’s never thought like this.. it’s high time to reevaluate and get a perspective💚.
This was inspiring. I lived in Dubai too but I was the impatient type. It’s good to hear people who keep it real. Thanks Patricia for the encouragement.
This is exactly my story...I worked in Dubai too 2008-2011 and she completely talking the truth and that why I Lost my weight ... working in Dubai meant me the woman I'm today .. Dubai is wonderful if you're open minded, smart and focused...we came from the some village too.I got my first job in Dubai just because of my smile..Bless you Patricia ❤️💯
Wow! I’m loving this show. I agree with what she is saying about the service industry. Lynn, please include me in that show where you’ll be talking about the do’s and don’ts in the service industry...🙏🏽 I have a lot to say. I was also in the service industry in Bahrain for 20 years. I now have my training company. I train people on how to WOW their customers.
Lynn? This lady is a jewel. She is very honest and true to herself. She is an inspiration to not only to the girl child but also the boy Child. Mungu akubariki Ms. Patricia Mutie.
Did housekeeping at Kenya utalii college, went to kuwait, dubai plus abu Dhabi, now in the remotest part of Kenya, everything that you have covered in this talk is me me and me...Thank you from the bottom of my heart....
This touches me, i was once a cleaner and I always longed one day i will be an accountant. I felt so bad because my fellow staffs, customers and even superiors looked down upon me just because of my job. staffs could just make the floor dirt so that I can always keep on cleaning.. I enrolled and did CPA part time I thank Almighty God am now a CPAK holder and an Accountant in a different organization.
Hey Mary, you reminded me of my boss. She started as a cleaner, went to school from cert to masters and rose through the ranks to HoD position and in the same organisation. Nothing is impossible with God.
Am fortunate to work here in Dubai especially with the world's leading company. This story had really opened my eyes , thank you Lynn . Thank you Patricia ❤️
Wow this lady is so amazing, she's a real vibe! It's true how every young person wants to be on social media, even without the right skills. She has done well for herself and I am really happy for her. May God bless the work of her hands!
Lilian Harpers Management changed my life.Worked in a world class hotel and 3 world class Airlines.I am doing the same thing giving back to the society through training ,interview preparations and style and image preparations#hospitality.
This is the most encouraging story that I have heard in a long time. This story is so inspiring!!I tap into these kind of blessings. I am currently in Dubai and I cannot wait to raise to such levels.
That Lilian Harper asked me to loose weight and that I would never get a job if I am plus size . This is really encouraging to hear and see that someone made it and she was plus size.Much love to Patricia. Even now go take a look in the five star hotels here in kenya , you will find lightskin and slim girls . Please keep creating awareness.
Lynn I'm watching this from Dubai. I can relate to what she is talking about.. kwanza hapo kwa our Kenyan people, we need to do something with our general attitude..
Such an amazing interview. One of the many thing I have come out with from the lessons on this interview is to speak up to this white people. I interact with them alot since I work at fairmount residences in palm jumeirah and I will exercise that until I get to the place I dream to be. Am inspired and I love it ❤️ 😍. Good job Lyn always inspiring 👏
Just what I needed at the right time. True talk, Conversation is key. I got my first promotion because of a simple conversation I had with my boss offcourse after cross training...
Lilian once told me in an interview that I din't know how to smile. I Will never forget that 😂😂. But weuh Lilian is something else. I felt like ako na matharau kiasi though, because there's a nice way to correct and train someone. That was so informative yet inspiring. Thanks for sharing Pat and @Lynn.
My my you remind me of my job interview in Dubai, what Patricia is saying is soo true 👍. Our people need to be educated on how to behave in diaspora to get a job.
Yes, I have been telling my family.. walime na wako na mashamba, lakini waona kama ni mchezo... She has great foresight for the future as prophetically, agriculture, farming is the way forward...in the world...yes, the world needs food...
Lessons to take home from Patricia as Lilian Zacho says most would not like it but your appearance and how you package yourself is everything 😍❤️a determined person will get wherever they want to be through hardwork
Wee but that lady is a pyscho.. she told me off and by now many years later women cannot forget lilian with her harsh words. As much as she can help you. You dnt need to be bullied to make it through her
