I think the part that goes from the 3:00 until the end is the best composed and played part of a song I heard in my whole life.

@@themightyripples6582 I never remember to write it down, but yeah, I play many things. And after all these years, I can safely assume this is by far one of my fav albums ever and the only one which I always keep with me in any device.

Listening to this album since 2014. And I know I'll never end. To me this song and "Words" are the bests. 🔥

It takes a conditioned ear to hear what is going on in this song. Once you can hear it this kind of music becomes ridiculously delicious to the brain.

    (): By Leilindel
Orphaned ideas, fusion with this undying snowflake
    Melting…but nothing lost…
Another form…different incarnations (Transformation, such a natural movement)
    Brains are snowing sites
Mental skiing on neuronal paths (Unavoidable and so necessary)
    Sport of the dreamers
    Transformation, such a natural movement
Unavoidable and so necessary (It passes and I die frequently…)
It passes…and I die frequently…to be reborn on the next moment… (…to be reborn on the next moment…)
There’s a Phoenix in all of us
Rising out when given the chance (Death is part of my short term cycle…)
    Sweeping across dull horizons
To offer back their fire to the Grays (…for the absolute delight of Life)
The universal teapot is bursting with possibilities (Transformation, such a natural movement)
Let’s drink more…shall we? (Shall we?)
Extracting the sky from your pulsating heart
Hands outstretched, gray minds, deviant strips of flesh; ingredients to a corporate form
Call me human but I won’t drop it…
(Extracting the sky from your pulsating heart)
Flattery won’t budge the sludge of time
Indeed…in need of some bakeries you will stand strong
But this fleeting colossus shall not prevail
    I don’t think so… (I don’t think so…)
At the top of the pyramid…weather is far better
…and you’ll never know (Keep on crawling)
Keep on crawling (Keep on crawling)
Keep on crawling (Keep on crawling) * 5
    (A perpetual flood of obligations)
(To douse the flaming hearths of rebellion)
    Taming the wilds
    Flaunting the art of deception
(Stabbing backs while they watch the buffoons in their act)
    (Empires rise, Empires fall)
(Structures collapse and lords are disgraced)
(But no power shall ever strip humanity of its creative capacity)
(The sea is waiting, don’t waste seashells…)
    (What a wonderful evening)
    Empires rise, Empires fall
Structures collapse and lords are disgraced
But a free Phoenix stands tall
Drip your personality into my open arms
Soak your feelings into the black hole of abuse
    Wash your pain unto others
    Don’t try anything new…it could be interesting…
What a nice machine you are!
Flattery won’t budge the sludge of time
Indeed…in need of some bakeries you will stand strong
But this fleeting colossus shall not prevail
    I don’t think so… (I don’t think so…)
    Taming the wilds
    Flaunting the art of deception
(Stabbing backs while they watch the buffoons in their act)

Can anyone explain the time signature(s) starting at 1:42? 6/4 kinda makes sense if you squint but idk

    • @vvondogmai8596
      @vvondogmai8596 3 роки тому +10

Hi... This comment is 2 years later but nonetheless, here goes... I wrote that part. We never used to use odd meters or weird time signature as we felt even that was constricting. It was more riff oriented regardless of the time signature. So we basically wrote everything in 1/8 if you wanna be analytical about it.

    • @Opdi67
      @Opdi67 2 роки тому +1

i think you can count it consistently in 5/8 which feels like it makes sense just with very heavy syncopation, it's mostly distinct phrase of 5 beats and sounds like it changes to 4+6 a few times. certainly makes sense to hear how it was written, you could probably come up with dozens of ways to notate it that make as much sense

Music like this is why I feel I shouldn't make a band, I could never make something like this piece of work no matter how hard I'd try. Any form of music just seems worthless in the presence of this.
