Actually there is a type of plastic called HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and it’s completely safe to melt and mould with. You can usually find them as bottle caps to, generally it has a little ‘2’ in the recycling triangle or it says ’HDPE’ below it and sometimes both. There are tutorials on how to make things out of it on UA-cam. Edit: btw it’s nothing fancy, it’s found as a lot of products

Hi, nice video! I make polymer clay earrings and just started to experiment with rings! You mentioned the fingerprints and it is probably due to your low quality clay! If you invest in harder ones like fimo, sculpey, cernit it will not be much of a problem

TIP FOR YOU. (i work w clay everyday, bc i sell stuff on depop) but GIRL imma save u. 475F for 7 minutes. Saves so much time, money, also it’s not good to cook it for that long because polymer clay gives off toxic fumes when u cook it! i hope this helps and you try it out!

you can use acetone or alcohol to get rid of the fingerprints! i soak a q-tip in nail polish remover and carefully dab it on the finger prints
