They were wonderful to me and feed me so much different foods I loved it. Now i always looking different you tubes on how to make things came across you tube to experience the pr life without being there. As soon as covid is over want to back. Have a big family there. Want to see them again my mother died a month ago and couldnt go to see her with all this covid.
Mary, so happy that you had the opportunity to experience PR last summer! Glad to hear that you could enjoy a bit of the island through our video. Hope you are able to make it back soon!! In the meantime, are there any dishes that you really enjoyed and would like to see us feature in the channel??
@@JeffandJosPuertoRicanKitchen well rice. Is different than mexican rice they would laugh at me when comparing dishes to mexican dishes here in ca. Some family mexican. So eat alot of mexican dishes which is more spicy. Some family didnt have hot sauce salsa was different. I was always asking for. Hot sauce. Salsa. Way different. Something they served in a big cup cant think of name. Good.

We have a few rice recipes - white rice (ua-cam.com/video/n98s9Dgsgis/v-deo.html); arroz con salchichas (ua-cam.com/video/XZYPSaNOsBw/v-deo.html) and arroz con gandules (ua-cam.com/video/N-ocMU4Gou4/v-deo.html). Fried food is not good for Us. Fried food and processed food can cause stomach Cancer and the mortal type of Cancerl Intestinal Cancer also cholesterol in our arteries specially when people fried in the same oil over and over again. Hot dogs and sauses frozen food and processed hams are processed food too bad for our health and can also cause Stomach and intestinal cancer. Microwaves oves and the prosessed food for microwaves oves can also cause any type of Cancers the most common is leukemia. People need to eat healthy if they want to live more and in healthy conditions. Science magazines
Good Job, Kids!👍
I love PR, been there about five times. Business and Pleasure.
Like your presentation, go there, name and order each food, taste test.
No jabbering, no discussions, just what is important, food.
Sure, if you need to shoot interesting locations and sites, just name them and do it. Don't mix the two.
I'm subscribed.
Thanks!
Thank you!
That looks delicious my goodness.. Much love and respect. Have fun n god bless🙏
Not bragging (since I didn't do the cooking) but they were delicious! 😃😂 Thanks for sharing, and god bless as well!
Great episode, I can't wait to visit Loiza in a couple of weeks! :)
Enjoy it!!! Let us know how it goes!
Thanks for sharing this! My mother is from Puerto Rico. My grandparents old house is now (or was) a restaurant called Bistro Cafe. It’s in Isla Verde at 29 Calle Jupiter.
I need to go back, it’s been SO long!
Awesome
OMG! Miss those fried foods. I was born in Mayaguez and moved to San Diego when I was 5 years old. Now living in Idaho since 2005..yeah no Puerto Rican food around here. Are you able to create a video for the tacos de camaron?
Hey Bill! Jeff was born in Mayaguez too! He was there until he was 13. Also, we lived in San Diego for one year 2016-2017, what a small world! We will work on that tacos video! Anything else that you can't find in Idaho that would like us to feature here?
You mean enpanadilla with crab?
Missed the place on my last visit. Can't wait till 2022. Hopefully PR will be a state by then.
Glad that you are planning to visit again!
So many different types of piques at the kiosks too!
Yes!
Love this episode guys! I really enjoy the vlog format! Love seeing a glimpse of the local food culture! Oh, and look! Large wide, flat, tostones! I knew it! I could've flattened mine out more!! 😉😉

I'm headed to PR for our 10 year wedding anniversary and this is probably #1 on my list! Im having a hard time figuring out where to take an uber though. Are all the kiosks in a straight line or are they spread out? Where do they begin? Thank you loved the video!
I’m so sorry for the late reply. Really hope you had a wonderful time.
Jo, me dio hambre! Awesome video! Wish I was there now.

Hi all
1. which day is the best day to visit the kiosks in Piñones? I heard most kiosks are close on weekdays.
2. Also any restaurants recommendation for food hopping?
3. Is the lechon restaurant nearby too in Piñones?
Any advice?
Couple travelling in PR Aug 6-14
Weekends are definitely busier; mondays and Tuesdays probably the worst.
I tried piñones but wasn’t to crazy about it. But looking at your video it’s nothing like what I saw. Maybe because it was later in the day dark outside. So we left and went to luquillo kiosks. Much better even though it was late at night. Much better vibes. 🤷🏽♀️
We love Luquillo too
You guys should go to Guavate and make an episode there eating lechon!
Thanks!!!
This looks amazing I’m actually headed to loiza next month.. where are exactly are these spots or do I just drive around the coast and trust my nose lol.
So sorry for the late reply. It was our first time doing a vlog so we didn’t write down the name of the places. Hope you had a great visit

I like your videos but can you PLEASE tell us where you actually go. How can we go to those specific places if we have no clue where to go. I’ve been to Piñones many times. Some are a hit and others are a miss. Where are you eating at ? That really is the point of most food videos.
Will keep that in mind for next time. Thanks!
Omg I was in heaven when I finally got a good alcapurria
Hahaha! It is life changing.
OMG THEY WENT TO MY FAV SPOT THE 2ND ONE
What I was yearning for was an alcapuria. Couldn’t find decent parking so we left went to a restaurant in Isla Verde for dinner starving by then. They didn’t have alcapurias on the menu 😞🙁😟
I’m sorry. Alcapurrias are amazing.

Yo no puedo ir a puerto rico y llevarme la dieta..yo no puedo ir y estar pickings..y comer un bacalaito.la puntita
Hahahaha!! Es demasiada tentación
💯👈❤️🇵🇷
I heard PR agrees to become a state. These places will soon be a memory cause they will find a way to tax them out of existence. Or out law them with some lie of sanitation.
Well hopefully they can find a way to preserve places like this. So incredibly valuable!
I'm jealous
Hahaha! So wish we could be there now.
Where is the pique? 😮
Lol

You actually licked the plastic cup after she handed it to you that’s not very sanitary. You don’t know where her hands been. I’ve never been to pinones. I would love to visit there someday. I m actually from humacao. But I’ve been living in the states for 61 years. I’m 67 years old. Ps I’ve enjoyed your videos
Se llaman empanadillas de poyo. Mama
Gracias!
However dark skin really falls in the asian skin color range. Black skin color Range is light coffee to deep ebony skin
The cooks are not Puertorricans the flavors are not the same.the area is dirty and many cook use wood pallets that are discarded from contaminated factories...be careful were you eat.I love Puerto Rico but not Piñones.sorry.
Appreciate the input. Where do you get your fried food fixing in PR? What place do you recommend for a good chinchorreo?
Great, go to paisaje curet in maunabo south east of the island, ladi in Salinas, safraz in gurabo, makito in naguabo,raíces in caguas, there are many other great restaurants in the island to many to mention here but please ,piñones not for me.see how they cook, see the utensils, see the area, see the bathrooms, see the wood pallets used as fuel.and the prices are like a four stars.
@@joevuzekaz2030 The majority of the cooks now days in Pinones are Dominicans even the men that said he made 1,000 alcapurrias on the weekends you can tell he Dominican, that why he couldn't answer her questions right, y que palo de goma esas hojas les dicen uvas playeras, anyway ya la comida que venden en Pinones is not Puerto Rican anymore. Eso parece la Rep Dom.
Omg 😲 my stomach was turning 😫 as I was thinking are there not any health inspections in those kitchens?????? I have worked in food industry for many years and I take food safety very serious 😳. Trust me flies and food are not a good combination. Please stay safe. I love Puerto rican food 😋 but prepared properly.
@@phatbruno LOL... can't be any worse than a "Dirty Water Dog" in NYC!
