If it was legit, why was there so much controversy? Its not rocket science to get a deer legit scored... and btw the rompola buck was scored on a freakin deer mount! Not on a skull... something smells fishy here.

This buck looks a lot like the Rompola buck. Except it doesn’t look fake. I never thought I would see that type of frame on a Deer and think that it looked real after seeing that hideous thing rompola claimed was a wild deer

I love how the picture shows him holding the antlers 3 ft in front of him to make them look way bigger than they are! He probably shot it on property that has a 10-foot fence around it!
My question is, was this buck killed on public land or a private game farm. Personally I don't feel that they should have public land record books and private land and game farm books, because usually private land and game farm bucks are raised and fed antler growth foods which I consider unfair! The other thing I feel should keep bucks out of record books is if the deer was shot over a feeder, to me that's not hunting, that's just killing! It's like fishing in a Hatchery!

The only points being scored here are the mainframe, none of the trash or kickers are scored. I’m sure it’s been scored both ways it it wouldn’t touch the NT record, but as a typical it’s the #2.
Probably less than we have now, seeing as how hunters and conservation have increased the population and health of the deer heard to the best it’s ever been. Plus we have eliminated natural predators and provided vast amounts of high nutrition and quality habitat that didn’t exist before. I’m sure a stud made it to 6-8 and threw a good rack with genetics, but it was definitely not to the extent we have now.
