WARNING 7:43 this is the refueling overflow drain tube not a breather. If you accidentally over fill or spill gas around the fill neck area it will drain down a hole next to it and into this tube instead of over the sides of the tank. Just route this tube down the left side of the cylinder toward the ground. The tube is normally is just held in place by a split tube on the left side of the stock air box and doesn't go into the inside of the box. the split in the mounting tube allows spilled fuel to drip to the ground. The fuel tank's breather tube should not be affected by the new intake installation. Improper routing of this overflow tube could become a FIRE HAZARD.
Ordered mine. MNNTHBX says it’ll be mid May before it ships. The CJR ECU shipped today and the Yoshimura GP Magnum exhaust arrived very quickly. Can’t wait to see what 2 extra HPs feels like. Lol
What do you use to clean and oil the filter? I have K&N cleaner and oil, would that suffice. I'm not sure the injector can handle the oil. Any advice would help.
Yes a typical reusable filter cleaner and oil will be fine - such as the K&N - the mistake many make is using way too much oil after cleaning, you need so so little, just enough to very lightly coat the filter and that will prevent it being sucked into the engine components. If you mistakenly use too much, use a microfibre cloth to soak it up or even compressed air to blow it off - once the oil stops splatting off the air filter as you blow it with compressed air, you know it also won’t get sucked into the engine.
I was just about to ask what's up with monkey on the last video. Still looking good and shining. What happened with riding videos? Decided not to make them or will be in future?
Life has have been very restrictive here in Melbourne for the past few months with some of the worlds strictest lockdowns and massive government fines, even for doing things which seemingly shouldn’t put anyone at risk like going for a drive or a ride on you’re own. So I’m hoping to do a ride video, maybe also taking about all the mods I’ve done to the bike and what I think about them as soon as this madness is over or at least the government stops being so unnecessarily authoritarian.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I know where you at with government and their measures. We had lock down, restrictions, then for a week we had great improvements because it was time to vote for president, again, and then went back again to restriction and limitations which resulted in massive protest etc. It is what it is, I guess many countries are affected with this kind of guidance... Keep safe man, there will be time for everything. Cheers and have a good one!
The head light is really great and bright at night, even the tail light and indicators are greatly lit. Before I did the exhaust, air intake and retune I was maxing out around 90kms on the starlight’s, but I’ve managed to crack 100kms comfortably on the freeway since the mods and if you’ve got the wind on your side and just a slight down hill it can go well beyond that. I wouldn’t recommend it for freeway riding because at 100kms there’s not that much left, but for the odd short freeway run it’s fine, and around the streets and traffic it’s really a fantastic ride.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing You're the second person i have seen with this type of bike I have seen another you tuber called RJ or Royal Jordanian that has one and love's! It 👌

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Very useful 👍 One minor point though - the screws are JIS standard. You shouldn't have any problems messing up the heads if you use the correct screwdriver. There really is that much of a difference! Hope this helps.
Hey mate, got my yoshi pipe like I commented in that install video. Sounds unbelievable. Just curious now how you find this mod after a week or so? Thanks
It’s actually been about 2 months since I installed (it took a while to get around to editing the video) and I love it. You really have to get the ECU tuned, but if you do it really makes the exhaust and air intake come together and you’ll squeeze out a little more lively acceleration and top speed, so it just makes this fun bike a little more fun!
Car Craft Auto Detailing thanks man I appreciate your reply. And your channel! Subscribed last night. You were only able to order from the US I suppose?
Yes, and I actually found it hard to find anyone in the US that would ship me a Flashed ECU (no one seems to do it locally) and although I could get the exhaust and some others parts through my local bike shop, they ended up being cheaper from Mnnthbx.
Car Craft Auto Detailing got mine coming on Monday from mnnthbx! Defs be using this video for my install. Just two questions if you don’t mind. First one might sound stupid but will I need to oil both crank case filter and main filter? And did you need to disconnect battery prior to install? Thanks again man
You won’t need to disconnect the battery, but I did use some K&N filter oil on both filters to be sure, but they almost felt like they had a thin film of oil out of the box.
Yes, as I mentioned in the video you really should have the ECU retuned or flashed or use a fuel management module to allow a richer mix of fuel and prevent the engine from running too lean.

You're a darn legend. Super helpful.
I’m loving all the upgrades you have provided to the Monkey...they are just awesome! Very nice Sandro!
Very nice mod! Looks much nicer than the stock box.
I love this bike! And your channel 😁👍
Excellent no-nonsense video! Perfect.
Nothing is perfect
Video is the best but there are a few issues
Nicely done mate, cheers from California!
Love the intro and the bike!
That’s a much better look
Great video and love the video quality. Now you just need a OTB clear Cam Cover for that bike. ;)
Hey Sandro the speed demon lol great video looks and sounds good
Thanks mate, and when you’re doing 60kms on the Monkey it feels like 100kms on bigger bikes!
Well done 🙂👍🏻👍🏻
Hello, all the parts shown in the video come in the kit, thanks
Yes they did at the time
Little thumpers are so much fun
Hey Sandro just used the Adams graphene pretty impressed I’m a CQUK guy but prob not any more all the graphene coating are so easy optigloss coat like
Handy tip. There are no phillips head screws on this bike. Only JIS screws.
Maybe if the hose was black or colour matched to the bike ? What’s best this or Chimera ?
Could you let me know what make is the rear stand and what I need to buy to get one like it? It looks like a good one - Thanks in advance

@CarCraftAutoDetailing Now that is a video idea for you.
Arent these instakes known for allowing dust particles through especially if off-road

don t ask me to do it i can t cheers hope your allright
I liked everything up to sending in the ECU. What happens if I send in the ECU to have it flashed and it never comes back!
I just bought a second one from them which they flashed, so I still have the original one, maybe that’s a safer option.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Correct and you still have the old one flashed to the original components! If I perform the mod I will do it that way!
I was told that the ECU is not suitable for UK bikes !! Is this true ?
Hi, @Car Craft Auto Detailing
Do you have link where you get the rear bag? Thanks.
No sorry mate, it’s actually just an old seat bag I took from a mountain bike to carry a couple of things.

It’s actually just a under seat bag off my old mountain bike
Is it OK to get this filter wet?? if not what are my options?
I believe if you jump on the website they have water proof options for the air box at man in the box
The Chimera is alot nicer looking.

I have honda wave125i thailand. How to clean fin cylinder block.
Make sure it’s cool, you can rinse off any looser dirt, and then use a soft brush with some all purpose cleaner or degreaser and that should do it.
Have this on order do i need to change anything so it doesn"t lean the engine with stock exhaust/muffler ??????????
Yes, as I mentioned in the video you really should have the ECU retuned or flashed or use a fuel management module to allow a richer mix of fuel and prevent the engine from running too lean.
it fit on 2024 model? and from where I buy it ?
There’s a link in the description box and you can check model fitment with the seller

Oil your filter bro
Thanks and yes, DNA sell their own oil but you could also use the K&N air filter oil and the cleaner before re-oiling down the track as needed.
